Having owned a few S4 Avants, Audi really knows how to make some killer wagons. Hopefully we’ll see more Uber fast wagons stateside. Love the review Kevin.
These ratings are so stupid. The racing driver gave this car a perfect score. Meaning that there isn't a better looking car? A lotus doesn't handle better? There aren't more techy interiors? These ratings are meaningless.
ya man, that's the whole point of subjective ratings. why do you think the entire concept of this show is two contrasting opinions? why spread negativity? if you don't like the ratings then don't watch another video. simple as that.

I love Audi. I love wagons. I love this car. But I look at the performance; realize I'd go to jail using 2/10th's of the capabilities. Realize I don't want to be rated a "69" in handling by the other prisoners and go back to looking at the Miata.
Great objective yet concise reviews by two professional drivers who know what they are talking about. 11 minutes well spent. The review is so engaging that it made me want to go out and buy the car. Only one problem, I can't pony up a $131k for the car.
Also the engine is extremely stout. Very much overbuilt for stock power. The stock long block is easily good for 900 hp. In Europe they are running these with 700 hp without any mods what so ever. Not even different turbos. Think about that for a second. 700 + hp in a stock wagon that will also do 30 mpg. Madness.
Well above 6 figures, so this will never sell enough to be attractively priced on the used market. An Audi, so it'll also never be reliable enough to think about owning off warranty.
So much great information in this 10 minute video! I’ve spent some time in this car and can absolutely agree with how impressive it is! Love this Chanel! Can’t wait until the next!

Nice review of a great car. Agree with Kevin, the sound needed to be louder. Exhaust cutout mode maybe??? Also would have liked to see a true manual transmission.
I can’t believe how much this car weighs. So this is based on their A6 platform making it a midsized vehicle. The A8 is the full size, and to get a 120” wheelbase you have to get the A8L. Of course everybody knows these things I’m guessing. My point? Yeah. My Dodge Magnum RT weighs 4179, and the AWD version weighs 4393. Full sized car. V8 engine. AWD. 600 lbs LESS than the midsized RS6? What gives? Oh, the supercharger weighs 600lbs? Sure. The amenities weigh 600 lbs? Ok. Riiiiight. The Brembo brakes weigh 600lbs? Ok so combined they add up to that? Bullshit. The AWD system for my LX platform was 214lbs. The Hellcat, with 700-800hp, weighs 4415. So add the transfer case, carry the half shafts, divided by the wagon roofline, multiplied by the amenities, and you get 4629lbs. Sooo, now we’re at 270lbs difference? But with 300 MORE horsepower? And 270lbs LESS? I love Audi and I LOVE this car. But there is simply no excuse for that weight. None. Not one. If it were A8L sized, I’d give it a pass, and chalk it up to more sound deadening, andddd……….thicker glass for a quieter ride? Maybe extra coats of paint? Ok I’ve got it, cooled seats? Nope. There is almost no amenity that the Audi has that the Hellcat does not. Maybe it’s the 4 intertwined circles that weigh 200 lbs? No. Excuse.

I also love how Audi waited to send Americans the worst RS6 avant in years. They got our hopes up so high to send us something...meh. Pales in comparison to the last 2 or 3 generations of rs6 avant
I got mine 2 months ago... I'm from Europe and over there the RS6 has bene the King of the Road, the Absolute Pinnacle, for almost 20 years. Now it is finally here, I had to get one. I am not disappointed: this is probably my favorite car ever. And, as Kevin Madsen knows ;) I have many many cars including some great supercars. Still, my RS6 is my baby.
I’ve always loved the RS6 but I’m kind of surprised that Audi hasn’t made bigger increases in their horsepower figures from one generation to the next. From the 1st gen RS6 to the 2nd gen car we saw the biggest leap in horsepower when they went from the 450 horsepower 4.2 liter twin turbo V8 to the insane 5.0 liter twin turbo V10 pushing 580 horsepower. Since the 2nd generation RS6 the horsepower has stayed relatively close despite the engine changing to a 4.0 liter twin turbo V8. The 3rd gen car was rated at 560 horsepower which was actually lower than the previous V10 variant although the new V8 had more torque. Then we have the newest 4th gen RS6 which uses a revised version of the twin turbo 4.0 liter V8 putting out 590 horsepower. So looking back from the V10 powered 2nd generation RS6 to today’s 4th generation car we went from 580 horsepower to 590 horsepower with a drop to 560 hp in between. Of course their have been a couple special editions that were as high as 605 horsepower but even that isn’t a significant jump over the standard 580-590 hp. Don’t get me wrong, I think 590 horsepower is plenty for most people, I’m just surprised that there hasn’t been bigger gains between the different generations.
Highest scores I've ever seen from the pro driver. Not surprised, since he made it very clear how much he loves Audi. And that he raced for Audi. ps. bring back Zack and Leh. More objective, those guys.
Straight up amazing getting these honest reviews from Kevin. Just incredible to see him behind the wheels of all these cars and trucks with a pro drivers view as well.

I agree about the body roll That was the first thing I thought. I know it's a grocery getter, but as an RS, it needs better shocks and springs, even if the eggs break on the way home from the grocery store!
I always find it curious that so many people relate a car like this to “a family car”. I believe this is closer in concept to a shooting brake than an estate. It has 4 doors (not including the rear one, obviously) because buyers seem to want that, but it doesn’t look at all like a sleeper to me. The design is strong, sporty, and timeless. Following the lines back rather than cutting them short like a sedan makes it cooler. There is nothing “family” about this car.
