Sleep in, get Starbucks, catch some trivia, probably overeat wings at O'Sheehans, nap, go to the pool, more trivia, wander the ship, overeat.....sea days are rough!😂
Tony when your working on a sea day us there anywhere other then your cabin you can fine a plug in or do u just use a brink?? And if so what one do u recommend for a mac book??
We are old folks now (76 and 84) so we found ourselves lying in or cabin for several hours a couple of times, even on shore days. Gave me the energy to stay up later for the shows.
We do the same thing nap in the afternoon. But we are older than you two. It's so funny. The captain and crew even say to all of us. "Have a wonderful day . If you want to donate to our casino, be our guest. " However, we all continue to do it, lol.
"Advised us not to get off the ship today" almost as good as "hit the like button once if you liked the show and the dislike button twice if you didn't". Keep them coming, Tony!
It's funny how different people do different things on a cruise ship. You guys do almost the exact opposite with your free time than we do. For us it's pool/bar and maybe a trivia or game. There is truly something for everyone.
For those going with a Princess Cruise; next time ya cruise with Princess... when booking with Princess, you can add that you have a CPAP. Once embarked and settled into your cabin, the room steward will bring in the extension cord (it is taped down to floor where needed for safe walking), as well as a bottle of Distilled Water. All is complimentary. Hope this helps :)
I'm never envious of other people but watching your video I admit to being envious. We were recently on the cruise from hell for us. My wife broke her ankle on the 2nd day (May 21st) I caught a cold (not covid) and on day 11 my wife caught Covid. We feel like we missed out, but we are liking your videos because it's hitting all of the right notes.
I liked the Jade ok .... of the "jewel" ships, the Pearl is my fave. Much better spa and it's just a homey kind of ship. I did 3 weeks on the Pearl thru the Panama Canal.
I appreciate that you had the restraint to edit your video as you realized you were not in a good place after losing out on your excursion which honestly sounded really frustrating given the explanation. So easy to use your platform to rail against them but it goes to show what a good dude you are.
Love a sea day. My go tos are room service for late breakfast on the balcony, reading in a comfy lounger, play a card or board game w/ hubby, at least one trivia, and last but not least NAP!
I always sign up for the art show. You get free champagne, hear about art, watch the entertainment of the bidding/deals and perhaps even get a good deal yourself. You don’t have to buy anything. In the end, you get a little gift. You and Jenny will enjoy and maybe meet folks that will be potential customers of Jenny. That buffet looks yummy!
Loved my cruise on the JADE back in March. I was a SOLO cruiser and their SOLO crew member Patrick is fabulous. Glad you are having a great cruise on the JADE!
Thanks for sharing your lovely sea day on the Jade with us! It's almost like I was there for a little while... Have to seize these sweet escapist moments you provide, till our next cruise.
I don't know what excursion you missed in Puerto Plata but it might have been a blessing in disguise. The "cultural and history" tour we booked with NCL was more of a forced shopping trip. If you were going to the rum factory, chocolate factory, church, and fort... you are lucky to have missed it!
That was incredibly rude of the guy to have people book excursions through him, then he couldn’t be bothered to input them in time? Wow, I’d be pissed. But, we usually prebook them long before the cruise starts to avoid situations like that (if we can). I love these kinds of episodes seeing what you do on your cruises, so thank you!
Hi Tony, These days you need to book your shore excursions online at home as soon as possible. Our experience is that if you wait until you're on the ship, they're going to be sold out. Gone are the old days where you waited to get on the ship to decide which excursion to take. That's part of the full (empty?) wallet thing the cruise lines like so much.
Oddly enough, we had the same internet warning in the sameish area on our autumn cruise on Oceania. We usually do a 1hr nap at 2:30ish. It is a total requirement for a sea day. But 2:30ish also coincides with a great time to nap on a port day, again for only an hour or so! And yes, coffee is the nectar of the Gods. It makes a lot of thinks possible! Glad u had a great sea day! 🌊
We made the mistake of bidding on a suite on our last cruise. God, we loved that cabin! So, we spent a lot of time in our suite sleeping, reading, watching the water, etc. We loved the Jade for our Norway and Greek cruises. But, the Jasmine wasn’t very good. The menu looks different, so I am glad to hear they have improved. I like the older, smaller ships. But, the Bliss for us in August because my husband loves the big ships.
Sometimes,,,it is just no fun to plan, plan, plan...but one needs to know the ropes so thanks for sharing how you do it...and how you go with flow handle the mistakes and the see how it goes reconnecting after each doing your thing,,and the cabin...and smaller table surfaces...the Lego Officiando really did a cool up or down load? place there, skills are transferrible.
Jasmine oil is one of my favorite essential oils! Mix it with Patchouli and Musk and you have yourself a custom perfume. That ship reminds me a lot of Freedom of the Seas, also an older Royal Caribbean ship, which I love. I don't blame you for being frustrated by the guy failing to submit your excursion! I would have been angry at him. Like, Dude - do your job!
Hi Tony, the best way is to book your excursions before you're on the ship. It's a certain number of days out that NCL opens up the excursions to book, as I'm sure you know from other Cruise lines. The best ones get sold out before you even board the ship. 😊 I'm enjoying seeing the Jade again that I'll be on again next week. I haven't been on since 2018.😊
We were on the Jade in April for the Creed Summer of 99 cruise. It was awesome but the public theater places were so different. Big stage on the pool deck, music concerts at stardust and bliss. It’s interesting to see this ship under a normal cruise experience. And the buffet was amazing. Pretty much ate there every meal!
It’s amazing to me living in Australia how you have access to so many different cruises and can both work at the same time. I’m so jealous you lucky ducks ❤ we don’t have easy access at all
No you are kindof right though. Assuming that the person who gave the excursions presentation in the morning, had encouraged the attendees to sign up directly with him, that would basically imply you'd been promised a priority spot on any excursions you signed up for. That he hadn't processed any of that/delegated to other staff to process it by the evening seems to be a fail on their side and a learning experience to just go ahead and do it thru an app on a smartphone/tablet, I guess.
I like the idea of "Quiet Zones" listed for those who would like to get some quiet time. Carnival doesn't have that. NCL definitely has a better buffet than Carnival. By far. I've never cruised on NCL, but I might (might) be willing to give them a try if the price was right.
We were on the Gem earlier this year. The Jade is the same class of ship. We love the medium size (90-99,000 gross ton) ships! Your video brings back many memories of the great food we enjoyed!
Oh, Tony! I always book my excursions online long before the cruise because the best sell out fast! I did a walking tour through Puerto Plata and it was great.
On Royal Caribbean, CPAP is listed as an option in booking - if you say yes, I have a CPAP, they deliver an extension cord & huge bottle of distilled water to your cabin - just leave the cord in the cabin when you leave!
I’ve never seen that option and hubby has had 2 replacements and available for a 3rd. I’m about 8 years in so available for a replacement. I’ve always requested one on the form, and still have to ask for cord and then they aren’t always long enough.
Just got off Norwegian Bliss a few weeks ago to Alaska and we ask for an extension cord and our cabin steward immediately brought us one. No hassle no fuss. We also needed it for a CPAP machine.
We were by told by NCL special service desk to bring our own extension cord, wife just keeps a 6 footer in her case. Enjoyed our cruise last winter on the Jade.
Thanks for sharing this video with us and it’s good to see Jenny out with you again doing a cruise. I miss seeing her and I am so sorry that guy screwed up and you didn’t get any excursions. On Puerto Plata, did you get to see monkey Island because when we stopped there, my husband saw it he went and he saw the monkeys and he came out with pictures and then the second time I went and I loved it! They had a nice pool too well thanks again and I hope you enjoy your cruise.❤🛳️💖⚓️🙏🏼💦💦💦💦
Okay. Gotta love how you open with the do not get off the ship on a cruise day!! Great video of the ship. We've done 6 NCL sailings so far, but not on the ship you are currently on. Keep up the great content, nice mix of info and humour!!
You can ask to borrow many things at hotels for free as well. Guests leave lots of stuff behind, so they usually have charging cables and adapters, laptop and notebook power cords, camera chargers, power blocks, extension cords, etc. Just ask.
I chuckle everytime I hear Tony lament about getting coffee. In my nearly 65 years, I have tried it once or twice and just can't fathom how it can be suitable for comsumption. But there are those, obviously, who feel the opposite.
When I joined the Air Force at 18, I figured that I was now an adult, and adults drink coffee. I tried it a couple different ways, and just didn't like it. I know most people love it, but the only good thing I can say about it is that it smells good when it's being made!
Funny, I had to do a double take on the “They don’t recommend you get off the ship today.” Sea days are the best, reading with an ocean view and a coffee in hand and we always attend the art auctions. Interesting and fun information.
Ok good start with not getting off the ship on a sea day. Ha and “…I think it’s a fruit salad!” Tha Jasmine looked yummy. I love watching you and Jenny sale together. My best part is when you test the fates. Yeah my hundred goes within 5 to 10 minutes usually too. That’s when I get in trouble. I hope Jenny is able to keep winning this trip. Sorry about your excursion frustration. Thanks for sharing your day. ❤
We Just Cruised on the Jade in April, loved it !! Martini bar / piano was my favorite place to be.. Jasmine Yummmm !! Enjoy your Cruise Tony & Jenny B 😊😊
What is your goto sea day activity?
relaxing on Lido Deck
Sleep in, get Starbucks, catch some trivia, probably overeat wings at O'Sheehans, nap, go to the pool, more trivia, wander the ship, overeat.....sea days are rough!😂
relax, read a book, have a drink. take in the sea-life
Tony when your working on a sea day us there anywhere other then your cabin you can fine a plug in or do u just use a brink?? And if so what one do u recommend for a mac book??
Going on NCL in Dec... sea day plans likely will include Thermal Suite time
“They recommend to NOT get off the ship on a sea day!”…😂😂😂 Sure hope so!
That’s a Great Recommendation‼️😎
😅😂
Well, it seems like some people need that reminder!
What noo I was looking forward to getting off on the fist sea day😂
What? And miss the swimming with the sharks excursion? Bummer!
We are old folks now (76 and 84) so we found ourselves lying in or cabin for several hours a couple of times, even on shore days. Gave me the energy to stay up later for the shows.
My hubby and I are in our 70’s and I agree with you 100%
I'm 43, my kids are 11 & 12. They cruise with me and we do this 😂🤷🏼♀️ we're lazy vacationers.
A 3 or 4 hour nap on a sea day? Perfect! That’s what it’s there for! Well played!
Thanks Tony and Jenny, you're helping my cruise blues by taking me along with you guys😊
It's funny how different people do different things on a cruise ship. You guys do almost the exact opposite with your free time than we do. For us it's pool/bar and maybe a trivia or game. There is truly something for everyone.
Thanks for taking us aboard the Jade. Also has been nice seeing Jenny. Have a fabulous week!
I love sea days. Relax, read, sleep, enjoy the views.
Is this new cause I have a cpap and didn't see anywhere to state that?
I really enjoy these vlogs as well as cruise news. Nice to see Jenny and you together on your cruise.
You have every right to be upset about not making your excursion.
Oh wow! Cruised on the Jade and LOVED it. Not huge and glitzy, but just right. Good entertainment, good food, comfy cabin. Loved outdoor seating.
That is the way to do... yes - yes - yes!
What a nice restful day for you two!
Asian food is my favorite!
I’m loving these videos of your cruise Tony! It almost feels like I am vicariously sharing the vacation.😎 So much fun!
A day without a chocolate croissant and cappuccino is like a day without sunshine ☕
I love Sea Days. Everything is open and the activities committee is always open.
That looked like a perfect sea day! For me, sea days are all about rest, eating, trivia, sitting on the lido deck and more eating 😎
We love sea days just lounging on our balcony & sipping 🍷
Isn’t it boring sitting on your balcony?
We love to sit on our balcony on sea days. Sometimes we will get a cocktail to enjoy.
Loved my cruise on the JADE back in March. I was a SOLO cruiser and their SOLO crew member Patrick is fabulous. Glad you are having a great cruise on the JADE!
NCL just has, hands down, the best solo program of all the cruise lines
first COFFEE, then thinking! Makes for a great day.
Tony, I just love the Day in the life of your cruise day. I wish everyone who vlogs their cruises would take us through their day.
We do! Just sometimes the videos tend to be like 40 minutes haha, I can never choose what parts to cut out!
T I'm loving these vlogs with you and Jenny B. It's like the old days when you first started
Nothing? Zero? 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 That IS a sea day! I love it.
To avoid losing at the casino, I always get off the ship on a sea day 🤣
Thanks for sharing your lovely sea day on the Jade with us! It's almost like I was there for a little while... Have to seize these sweet escapist moments you provide, till our next cruise.
Lounging on the deck looking at the ocean and maybe do some trivia
Love me some trivia!
"Stay on the ship for sea day" is the best cruise advice ever.
I don't know what excursion you missed in Puerto Plata but it might have been a blessing in disguise. The "cultural and history" tour we booked with NCL was more of a forced shopping trip. If you were going to the rum factory, chocolate factory, church, and fort... you are lucky to have missed it!
That might have been it. :)
Still loving your travel-vlogs...it's kinda like being there with you. 😀
Oh my goodness the art auctions are so much fun
That buffet set up is one of the best

I haven’t had much issue but I do try and book at home when possible.

Glad you guys are having a good time! ❤
For NCL run to the exursions desk first thing onboard or via the screens. The extension cords, it is always a line at reception on embarkation day.
Loving these videos while you are cruising!!!
Glad you didn't get off tge ship on a sea day !😂
Great to meet you earlier today, I felt star struck 😂. Hope you have a fantastic cruise.
It was nice to meet you!
Go see Kay at the wine bar! She’s the BEST bartender on the ship. We love her!

Celestial navigation is one of my hobbies. I like to take sun sights and see how close I come to getting the stated ship's position.
I'll watch your botany blog. Thanks for the content.
Sea days are the best. Total lazy lay around type of day!!🎉🎉
Team Jazz Hands!👐
Good vlog. NCL is my cruise line of choice. Enjoy your cruise. Cheers
We were on that ship in April. It never stopped rocking!
No you are kindof right though. I agree. That's super annoying and incidents like this will cause them to lose more and more people interested in the port talks. :s
Thank you
You guys do Great videos
We were just on the Jade for a 12 day Southern Caribbean cruise. Great ship. Love NCL!
I like the idea of "Quiet Zones" listed for those who would like to get some quiet time. Carnival doesn't have that. NCL definitely has a better buffet than Carnival. By far. I've never cruised on NCL, but I might (might) be willing to give them a try if the price was right.
I **LOVE** the Indian food on NCL's buffets!! 😀
We had a group of kids sing Christmas carols in the elevator, was a great experience. 😂😂
We were on the Gem earlier this year. The Jade is the same class of ship. We love the medium size (90-99,000 gross ton) ships! Your video brings back many memories of the great food we enjoyed!
the answer to the trivia at the beginning of video is Cambodia! lol
I lol'd at the local interference and terrain bit.
We were in Puerto Plata a couple weeks ago and did a terrific walking tour that included lunch that was Delicious local food.😊❤️
Oh, Tony! I always book my excursions online long before the cruise because the best sell out fast! I did a walking tour through Puerto Plata and it was great.
I’m pretty non committal that way. I like talking to the folks on ship.

On Pride of America, got extention cord from customer svc., told return or $25.
Hahahaha that was good big Tony 0:23 they advised us not to get off the ship on a sea day hahahaha
Have never watched your stuff and very pleased to say I loved it and I think I am very with the way you do your videos .thank you
Thanks!
Just got off Norwegian Bliss a few weeks ago to Alaska and we ask for an extension cord and our cabin steward immediately brought us one. No hassle no fuss. We also needed it for a CPAP machine.
Great Video today. Looks like y'all are having a great time. Good to see you with your wife. Great looking couple.
We were by told by NCL special service desk to bring our own extension cord, wife just keeps a 6 footer in her case. Enjoyed our cruise last winter on the Jade.
Customer service told me they would have probably confiscated mine. 🤷🏻♂️
Thanks for sharing this video with us and it’s good to see Jenny out with you again doing a cruise. I miss seeing her and I am so sorry that guy screwed up and you didn’t get any excursions. Okay i've only been on carnival ships. The ship looks beautiful from what I've seen. But are the rooms in hallways smaller than most carnival ships
Okay. Gotta love how you open with the do not get off the ship on a cruise day!!
Great video of the ship. We've done 6 NCL sailings so far, but not on the ship you are currently on.
