Really really great episode!! My grandmother Linda Ritchie ran Richard Petty's fan club up to when she passed away last year, I think for over 50 years or really close to it. I have memories and pictures of Lee petty putting me in racecars and taking me around the race shop, basically doing everything I wasn't suppose to be doing lol. I am 40 years old so this is when I was 7, 8 maybe 9 years old and at the time Lee Petty was such a nice person and he always came down to the shop when I would be running around the back of the museum towards his house hoping to get his attention so I could become the driver or owner of the shop while walking with him for the brief time lol.. He would always say boy what are you doing you want to get in them old race cars don't you and then we would go and acourse my grandmother wasn't gonna say anything if I had Lee Petty letting me break all the rules lol.. Much love and respect for the entire Petty family, Mark, Timmy, Ritchie if you could let Richard Petty know that running my grandmothers name on the car last year after she passed was such a big deal for our family, I heard he had the decals made and put them on the car himself and he is so hard to get in touch with these days I have never got to say thanks from the bottom of my heart it was greatly appreciated and humbling to say the least!! Ironic my dads name is Mark Ritchie and my son is Kyler Ritchie which was Adams Petty's middle name. Hope the entire Petty family have been doing great and can't wait to hear more with y'all's RUclips channel. God speed

Ritchie, Mark, and Timmy, THANK YOU for this! I have been a Richard Petty fan most of life. I’m going to be 50 later this month. I’ve always had a lot of respect for your family. I hope more stories will be coming . I would definitely subscribe if you guys get a RUclips channel up. Your Dad, Richard and Dale are my heroes and I’d love to love to hear more of your stories

Biggest memory or reaction I seen from a fan was when I was 1993 and my grandmother and I was in a bad wreck head on collision that shattered her hip so she was in rehabilitation in Charlotte I didn't get a scratch but we was down there seeing grandma and in walked Richard and Linda Petty, cowboy hat and all and the people at the hospital where in shock too see them there and acourse it was humbling and amazing site for myself to know that they cared enough to drive down there to check on her. I never forget Richard saying dang Linda you driving about the same as I drove here towards the end of my career lol!! Anyways Richard had a mini van at the time and had parked it right out front of the hospital and they where saying on intercom they was gonna tow it and Linda Petty said Richard I think that's our van they talking about and he said we would figure the deal out if they do tow it lol!! The hospital was one of the first times I ever seen Richard without his cowboy hat on, when he walked in the room he took it off and didn't put it back on until after they went to walk out. Just another great story and memory that I have of someone who at the time was bigger then the world but also how being humble makes a bigger impact then being the king of a sport..

I grew up in the 1950s and 1960s, and all the Pettys were my heroes. I really enjoyed the episode.

I grew up as kid in elementary school watching the King race and win at his highest . The 71 to 75 years . I built his 71 Petty Blue Road Runner and the later STP Petty Charger . I put the 43 decals on my banana seat , cheater slick , bicycles front and rear reflectors . Everyone knew who I was rooting for on race day . I played with my AFX slot car track watching many of the races . Yes I had his 71 Road Runner . What great times . It wasn't until many years later I found out I do have a connection to the King . We share the same birthday . Richard Petty to me is the greatest NASCAR driver period .

Richard was the King but Maurice was Merlin the Magician. To this day, I can not see a 426 Hemi without thinking of him.
I happy to see the boys honor their family history.

I got one of those Oldsmobiles from the Franklin Mint when it came out back in '92...and I always wondered why it said 'IN' on the window sill. Dang...

Sure good to hear the stories these brothers have. Petty racing was definitely a family operation. I remember when Richard would come to the Ray's King Burger in North Wilkesboro before the races. I can also remember the little Richard Petty riding mower that was sold in the area. Those were the days!! Thanks for the videos, keep up the good work.

I do wish I got to meet the Patty's when I was going to the track hanging out with Bobby Allison. My dad and Bobby where business partners in Bobby Allison wireless. So I got to go to a few races 🏁 and hang out in the pits and garage with the team it was fun but looking back i would have liked meeting a few people and Richard and Kyle are 2 that would have been on that list.
