The demo has much more emotion to the pain Whitley sought to capture compared to the remastered version. This is perhaps one of the saddest songs to which a person can relate.

Scott Nowak, this song has special meaning for me, I can't thank you enough. This song helped me thru a really rough time when my son passed away back in 2018 and then it was gone!!!! Appreciate it.

@@scottnowak6162 My 50 year old son,Kevin passed away massive heart attack with diabetic complications ,9 days after turning 50. Totally unexpected!!!

Yes, but the remastered version is on CD - Wherever You Are Tonight. The original demo isn’t.

had he release it back in 1982 with his sad songs and Waltzes album it probably could have been one of the really good songs of that album because from what I remember was told that album was a huge failure. To me none of his songs were a failure but it don't matter what I think. I love to hear more demos if there are any more.

@@donnasmith8301 You are correct. I enjoy the simple melody and pain that he sings about, but I don’t care for the title. I wish whoever wrote the song had a different word in place of it.
@@scottnowak6162 yeah and the title is kind of ironic given that he had such a great reputation as a person himself and with that word as the title must have been hard for him to sing that song . I'll be watching everyday to see if you have any more demos.
