during which years was Brown Rafikii? I'm trying to figure it out because I think there have been 4 Rafikiis right? Shannon, Tshidi Manye, Brown and the new woman right? I'm confused....
Dana Gorham me too, and I had such an adrenaline rush at this part. What's more was that at the show I went to, they manipulated the set so mufasa's face appeared in the stars and they got the broadway actor to speak into a microphone saying "Simba, you have forgotten me." god that part was so deep and amazing. I'd gladly walk to london just to see it again.
This may have been posted 11 years ago, but I still tear up and have chills. Beautiful voice, beautiful dancing, wonderful representation of African culture.
😢 So sorry for your loss. I can only imagine how spiritual it must feel to hear this song and realise as long as you exist, he's never truly gone. As a single child, one of my biggest fears is losing my parents, and so this song makes me cry each time.
I'm going to sound like a right dork and weird. But I get really worked up when I watch the cast of The Lion King perform ( I mean emotionally xD ) Its just so amazing. It makes me feel as if i'm standing in the heart of Africa and for some reason Lion King always reminds me that life can be beautiful even though it can be rather bittersweet sometimes. Edit: Gosh I hadn't realised all the replies I had and so many likes :0 ! Thank you all so much. Its really good to know there are people who admire Lion Kings music as much as I do hngh 🥺
you don't sound like a dork. i feel the EXACT same way. the live production is just sooo beautiful and does so much more for me than the movie (and the movie is pretty damn good)!!!!
I know right!? I saw this years ago when it first came out, I was only young then. I remember being totally hypothesis at how amazing it was. From that day on I've been a huge Lion King fan. I'm glad i'm not the only one that feels this way! > u <
You're not alone. I get emotional too, the songs just move your spirits & you feel like you're in Africa . Lion King is and will always be my favorite Disney movie.
