I have a TWM booster bundle i got for $9 and a Japanese 151 booster box in a giveaway.
Yes some Japanese Vstar universe ,shiny star v, 151 English booster bundles and some random cgc slabs some good.. got took on the Japanese shiny star v🤦♂️oh well that’s life
Selling is something nobody really discusses on the investing side
Would you like me to make a video about it?
@@Itwasneveraphasecards that would be sick!
This is why Pokemon investing isn’t for everyone and if anyone thinks “you should invest a small amount” are just incorrect.
Pokemon card investing is too illiquid for the small fish to truly consider after all the fees for TCG/Ebay or the HOURS OF WORK for FB/Discord sales, travel, gas etc.
These “alt illiquid” investments should only be recommended to people who have time horizons of 10+ years, if not longer.

Great content! I started collecting team up in 2019, just wanted to relive my old hobby and enjoy collecting again. After a year i had other priorities and left pokemon since 2 months ago and was flipping to my binder of team up and couldnt believe the prices! Have started collecting again. And spend around one to 2 hundred pounds a month to get some boxes and pick up some cards to finish my collections. Its enough for me for now and would encourage other people to just enjoy what you have and be patient. The SAV era will be here for a while still.
Nice! I appreciate you stopping by and enjoyed hearing your collecting journey!
I’m brand new to the hobby never collected Pokémon cards but have loved Pokémon since I was young playing yellow on a gameboy color …. You have some solid advice here and I’m going to start investing in booster boxes it didn’t take long for me to realize that if I really want some specific cards it’s best to buy it as a single card … can’t deny ripping packs is so addictive tho and fun
Welcome to the investing/collecting space! I have such a great memory of getting Pokemon Yellow for Christmas and playing it non stop!
Started at the start of the year. What a ride.
It’s been a fun one though! Thanks for watching and commenting it means a lot.
Been loving the videos keep it up! Very informative for a newer investor like myself but an og Pokémon fan. Investment/collection sitting at 1% of total ✅
I’m glad you are liking the videos. I really appreciate you watching and commenting!
@@Itwasneveraphasecards sure thing man! Been sharing with my other collecting friends as well! Best of luck with the channel
Started about a year ago! Have accumulated 14 booster boxes several pc etbs and a few graded mostly cards I’ve sent in. Will buy first case next month hopefully. But buying a booster box or two every month has added up quickly
Buying a booster box or two every month is a great strategy! Keep it up and you will have a large investment before you know it! Nice work
I used to collect Pokémon when I was young. I don’t just come back when I sing it 151 set absolutely love it and being collecting Twilight as well. Been fun so far
Welcome back to the hobby! You picked a great time to come back.
I started back also with the 151 with my wife. But collecting ETBs are what I’m enjoying. Buying a few here and there to open up too. My first twilight pack I got the Eevee!
Started last month but as a hobby nothing crazy so far!
Nice, you have to start some where! Just have fun with it
First time I seen your channel , I watch all the best on investing , good job man
Thanks for stopping by and for the kind words! Let me know if you want me to touch on anything specific in a future video.
@@Itwasneveraphasecards watch Pokeoffice Collin on his last video , great guy. , Canadian like myself , is he storing his product properly , no disrespect to him , how do we store our product properly for the long haul 🤔
Hey this is for me!
Thanks for watching! Appreciate you!
Started in 2011 bought the first 4 boxes…openend 3…. Bought a Spanish 1st edition base. team rocket and fossil in English and a Dutch jungle 1st edition ..my native language
Nice vintage boxes back in 2011 must have been really affordable. Are you still getting boxes now?
@@Itwasneveraphasecards yes 151 japanese..
Love your videos bro
Thanks! I really appreciate you watching and commenting. Let me know if you have any questions or want me to touch on something specific.
Im a low income person in Norway and i really want to make money from pokemon products but i also would like to collect. Do you think i could maybe buy a booster box for keeping and then sell it later as you said, and then also buy one booster box for myself and then the price i paid for my own Collecting would be really low?
@@xTheLoyalDutchx That’s a great strategy, just keep in mind it takes a few years for boxes to appreciate to that point. It’s not a quick flip thing. Lots of people do one box to open one box to keep sealed and sell later.
@@Itwasneveraphasecards alright, yeah you mentioned 5 years in the video so i was thinking about keeping them for that long as a minimum. If i live that long ofc, life is funny that way 🤣 liked your video btw, very nicely explained.
Thinking about buying the upcoming stellar crown booster box for 149 usd, Norwegian price. Its probably way cheaper in the USA?
Im also want to invest into Disney LORCANA, but in Norway they are pretty expensive for a booster box, around 160 - 180 usd pr box.
Im like you, you said you love the look of the Pokemon cards. They give me joy, its art and its amazing🤩
@@xTheLoyalDutchx Yeah you can get stellar crown boxes preordered for $107 here. I like Stellar Crown but Surging Sparks looks like it might be better but we haven’t seen all the cards yet to know for sure.
@@Itwasneveraphasecards damn, thats alot cheaper🤯 Im guessing its so much more expensive in Norway due to import fees and such. I will probably ask the company here why its so much cheaper in the USA and England versus here in Norway.
Will have to look into surging sparks 🙂
How exactly do you invest btw? Booster boxes/cases only or do you buy other items aswell?
@@xTheLoyalDutchx Mainly booster boxes and booster box cases whenever possible.
What are your thoughts on collecting PSA 9 cards instead of 10’s when it comes to more recent cards?
From a collecting standpoint that’s very smart. Your money will go SO much farther with 9s. If you are talking about investing I don’t think that’s the best option.
Shiny cardboard love long time
Love the content but an important note, the margin calc isnt the correct method. From 7000 to 14000 you would gain a 100% increase, so compared to the S&P500 yearly average of about 8% it is really good.
For straight percentage gain you are correct but ROI is calculated with how much you are gaining per year not just over the whole time period.
But is that good? Roughly 40-50% gain in 4-5 years? Surely not
A ROI of 7% is considered good, and 10% being strong. So yes that’s good.
I agree that’s not that good. Sp500 historically will gain you 100% every 7 years and you get compounding interest. Not to mention no selling fees or tracking down buyers, shipping product, etc. I enjoy Pokémon investing because I like the hobby
So
Let’s say I buy an Amazon ultra prem 151 box for 180$ CAD , you think In 20 years it’ll be worth 2Gs at least ?
In 20 years very possible
@@Itwasneveraphasecards let’s say like a fossil box , why are they only 8-10k range for a booster box when almost 30 years passed ? Is it because the top pulls are not worth that much ?
@@bellofigoitaliano5038 Well if you bought one in 1999 for $100 and sold it for 10k this year thats an annualized ROI of 20.23%. The hits aren't worth that much unless your talking about first edition. Also the younger generation doesn't have any nostalgia or connection to the vintage cards. The cards they will be nostalgic about are SWSH or SV depending on how old they are. So eventually these boxes will be the base set/fossil for younger people.
@@Itwasneveraphasecards ok but point being I don’t have to be a pokemon fan , I can just put a sealed box aside in storage and in theory should make profit as the box matures ? Like damn even XY boxes are going for 1k and those just hit the 10 year mark.
Don’t invest in Pokemon if you don’t have real assets first, go ahead and buy an PC etb and keep it sealed in you closet for a few years but not at the expense of buying something you can take a loan on at a bank .
