brackens are horrifying, was playing the vr mod today, my friend jumped down to a place below me, i was about to follow until i see white eyes next to him and a snap and hes taken away, i sat in shock for like 10 seconds
Not gonna act like they don’t scare me, but to me the little girl and coil head is almost like death sentence, especially when comms isn’t available either due to no walkie or dead crew mate, while I brackens I can still quite reliably get around with.
This game is special. It really brought back the scary game genre without being obnoxious about it, it has an interesting overplot that's not overbearing and it provides both singular and plural (players) fun without demanding too much of the player(s) thus putting an emphasis on the collaborative fun. I may never play it, not my thing, but i like what it has done for the community.
It didnt necessarily bring back the horror game genre, as horror games as a genre have been alive and well, there were just a couple bad games that got overhyped convincing people who arent truly invested in the genre that the genre was dead

My first time playing, I was tagging along with a friend of mine. There was a gap to jump, so he told me to stay put. I stayed. As soon as he left the building, I turned left to see white eyes appear. I said "oh hello" and died. He came back to find the apparatus lying where I used to be.
The bracken's eyes appearing for a second as the flashlight goes by was an amazing shot. Love to see horror animations and this was excellently done! For the Company!

I was playing a rec room remake with my friend. I went down a dark hallway and said "Is he down here?" And then instantly got clapped by the bracken
