Heavy rain in S. Korea since Tuesday has flooded 455 houses, thousands forced to evacuate

Heavy rain sweeping through central South Korea with week has caused widespread damage to homes and left many people in need.
From Tuesday to 6 AM Friday, 455 houses were flooded in 11 cities and provinces nationwide, and around two-thousand residents had to be evacuated, with nearly half of them still unable to return home.
In Jeollanam-do and Gyeonggi-do provinces, farmland equivalent to around 900 football fields were submerged.
Paju in northern Gyeonggi-do Province recorded the heaviest rainfall,.. as of 5 AM Friday, with a total of 640 millimeters, while about 280 millimeters fell in northeastern Seoul.
