Xbox Cloud Gaming Update: Play Your Own Games! They've finally added the option to stream games you own through the Cloud without them being on Xbox Game Pass. It doesn't work on console however currently which is odd. Anyways, if you're enjoying the video be sure to leave a like!
Preciate it man. I don't have game pass ultimate anymore but I find it really fascinating. Right now I'm just getting around the SSD issue by almost exclusively buying games that can run on my hard drives. Not a perfect solution but it works great. Jedi survivor is native 900-1080p at 60fps on series X when playing the one x version.
Hey , small correction while it’s using series x blade in order for more ppl to use the cloud . They have split the server blade and because of that u actually are getting series s settings in game , confirmed by digital Foundry
Thanks for the video! This is definitely a neat feature. This would definitely help you when you have a huge backlog, get the itch of playing a game you own and don't to install it for just playing a bit of it. My only small gripe with this so far is that I launched Goldeneye, an old game that got somewhat remastered, the sound is definitely compressed. I figured a low resource game would run like champ. So I hope they'll fix that. As for latency goes (my internet is 944 down, 112 up) you can definitely feel it. It's not unplayable nor I would blame any mission retries on it (I was playing with the enemy rockets cheat). But you can definite feel like you're not controlling the game 1:1 Thanks again! Keep up the great work.
Ya it’s something they need to continue to improve upon features and functionality wise. It’s getting better, but also seems to be lagging competition wise as well.
It seems after I play games through streaming, most games aren't good enough for an actual download. Oh, and it would be cool if all the OG, 360 etc. games worked on the service too.
@@Takeyogen A lot of games should work through Backwards compatibility ... but a lot of games don't, example: Brute Force ( a game made by Microsoft itself).
Promising technology with potentially huge implications for the hardware business. Why buy new high-end hardware when you can play the latest games on cheap/old hardware? Will this succeed where Google Stadia failed? Haven’t tested it for a while. Last time I tried it I could see a stark difference in visual quality; like watching a low bit rate stream. Lots of compression/pixelation. But I had slower internet then, too. Curious to see if it’s improved with my fiber connection.🤔
Cloud streaming and remote play are cool like on long road trips playing my games on my iPad Pro m4 with my controller connected. Other than that I don’t really see any use for it. But I can’t lie to be able to remote play my Xbox series X just in the car on my iPad with my elite series 2 controller on a long trip is definitely nice. What sux about it still tho is the resolution fps and the black bars on top and bottom of the screen but that might just be the iPads fault the bars anyways.
Tech is cool and for a lot of people it will be enough and passable but not so much for others. Eventually it will catch up and one day we'll realize oh wait we all play on the cloud now crazy
I honestly think this is great. Say if your console or PC has a problem that needs a fix or just replaced entirely. You can still access your games on the cloud as a secondary option. To keep playing while you wait to buy new hardware.
That's a totally good point to make as well. It's easy access to your library of games anywhere at anytime. It just needs a lot of work functionally to get to that point. We're just not quite there yet for this technology, but the idea is neat.
2 questions. I’m pretty sure this is only 60 Hz. What about the latency? Controller leg. I wonder how many milliseconds it is. Currently I’m using Nvidia TV shield Pro with GeForce now. It’s pretty OK. But still 60 Hz. And game selection is extremely extremely limited
Will it work on my PC if I had sold my Series X? I already own a ton of games on my xbox's microsoft account digitally and I don't want to buy again the same games that I own just to play it on PC
There are a few that are ridiculously massive in size. Stalker 2 for example I downloaded 350GB worth of that game ahead of launch due to updates. It was ridiculous to say the least.
I believe Fortnite is already on this streaming service, I imagine other free to play games will be in the future as well if not having some there already.
I was really disaapointed with this update. The whole time I was hearing that you'd be able to play ANY game that you own on the cloud. Instead they just released what 50 or 100 games that you can play on the cloud?
hey guys I’m curious I’ve searched it up but it seems my internet is fast but it seems when I try to play a game it’s been saying “Disconnected from game streaming session” what does this mean??
@ so I’d load up cloud gaming on my phone and click on a game and the message would pop up after loading for a few seconds I don’t know if it’s entirely my connection, because it was working fine earlier today and later it started to stop also I realized that my connection was slow at the time but now it’s back to normal so I have no clue what’s going on
I tried this with Cyberpunk. I hit a bug very early in, where elevator buttons could not be pressed. I know it's a glitch 'cause I owned the game a few years back without issue. Anyone else experience this elevator bug through xbox cloud gaming? I got a refund, but only because I couldn't progress without that glitch fixed.
That’s typically how these services work, servers ain’t free. Maybe someday it’ll become cheaper to attract more people to pay, hard to say as I’m sure companies will still want to make more money.
@ been able to stream my purchases on a Sony console for some time now, call it what you want but you take care of home 1st and everyone else comes later. Been around since the beginning, Sony started this a decade ago. Barely mentioned it at all didn’t even tell us the plans for the Portal just shadow dropped it. It works flawlessly in beta, near the quality of remote play and the consoles stream at 4k/60. People don’t even go outside 😂😂😂and if they go somewhere why wouldn’t they be focused on the activity they are attending? This is a Hail Mary that will be intercepted. Imagine getting into a fight, you knock the guy out, when he comes to he claims to be you and the people that hoped he would win are all in with him claiming he’s you. An entire new level of going out sad😞
Xbox made a Wi-Fi Controller that they may announced at the Game Award show. It's similar to Stadia controller that had lower latency. All you will need is a screen to use the Wi-Fi Controller.
They did not solicit your participation, did they? Your demeanor suggests a lack of agency, as if you are devoid of options or the necessary infrastructure to engage with the experience as intended.
Actually even before that they had cloud plans. They’re too aggressive on the concept, we’re not there yet and were nowhere near there back in pre 2013
People still need to pay for cloud. Id rather play on my xbox one and play my games at home. Its just a cheap gimik. Xbox wants to get rid of their own console.

This must have been a recent change because they were always using Series X guts as the blades so we were inheriting those settings.
i want this, i work 2 jobs and i have a rog ally. it can help me get thru my back log of games when im on my breaks

As I noted the “play games you own” does not currently work on the console.

Yes, and it’s not too bad but still not perfect if you’re playing a competitive game. Server location and speeds are all a factor too.

Does it work on the Xbox app on windows?
It's basically the same as on a browser.

Logically it should, hmm. I just used the browser since that’s the universal access option.
