- Emeraude's battle theme, not to be confused with Dancing Mad. If this is too loud, let me know, but it sounds right in my headphones. There's just some intricacies in pitch that I'm unsure of. I accidentally forgot about the recording so it's 25 minutes instead of 15. Uploaded by request.

As when I first encountered Emeraude on my first playthrough on Normal difficulty I knew straight away from her character design that she is a villain.Imagine my surprise that on that first playthrough at Lambda's cocoon after beating the 3rd Possessed Richard boss form only for Emeraude to backstab the entire group and integrate Lambda within herself.and even though I used a lot of my items during the Richard fight,Emeraude tested my patience on Normal and then I beat her.On my 2nd Playthough on Chaos difficulty which is the most difficult setting Emeraude's battle parameters increased tremendously and Even though I had problems on Normal that was nothing compared to what I was soon going to be facing on Chaos difficulty.I had my work and time cut out and it's so satisfying to beat her on the hardest setting the game offers.Emeraude is a worthy Tales Of villain and she will always be one of my favorites.
Emeraude, also called "The character who totally should have been the main antagonist" in this game.
She was though. The plot happened because of her.
Precisely. She was the antagonist that got the ball rolling. It was her decision to imprison Lambda and create Sophie as (originally) a mindless killing machine that began the whole mess. That's why both Lambda and Richard are spared, while on the other hand Emeraude dies (because she was obsessed).
Then again, Emeraude aside the rest of the main antagonists are spared, since even Fodra's Queen ends up partially saved by being absorbed by Sophie (in a similar fashion to Asbel and Lambda).
+LeonGun8 I still think she should have been the final boss. Have her 1st fight against you be a forced loss. She leaves you for dead. Starts to use her power to recreate Fodra. Richard rejoins. Have Lambda kill her after you beat her, then have the final phase be against Lambda himself. Preferably with some dialogue between him and Richard. With Richard back, you could even add some side quests about him trying to restore his public image. Having Lambda leave Richard only for him to go right back to Richard one boss fight later always felt stupid to me.
She really wasn't (or at least not in the sense I meant with my original comment).
Yes, she's the driving antagonist but she didn't get nearly any screentime when compared to LamBLERGHda throughout the plot, or any other main antagonist of the Tales series I'm familiar with, anyway. She's the Catalyst Antagonist, but not the Main Antagonist (yes, these two terms usually overlap but didn't in this case).
She didn't get the spot as final boss in either scenario either. She took off her mask, fought, then died. Done.
Emeraude was overall waaaay better constructed - and less generic - than Lambda in my opinion and had more interesting reasons too.
Lambda is the same old "Woobie destroyer of worlds" in its motives, give or take.
I was hyped when Emeraude turned villain and let out a sigh post battle when I realized they were going back AGAIN to Richard/Lambda combo. -____-'
Final boss doesn't necessarily mean main antagonist. This is just one of those games where the main antagonist dies before the real threat that they caused is dealt with.
....Killing Field does what it's supposed to do....That is all.
sorakeyblade99 the name is pretty Accurate
Everything that happened in Tales of Graces was Emeraude's fault. EVERYTHING.
Well, not Hubert getting sent away without a real reason. That was their dad's fault.
@@noob1n8or
I think that was Asbel's fault for Hubert getting sent away
@@azurestarseliph5926 No. The father had already arranged for Hubert to be sent away before the start of the game. He didn't do this because of the Sophie incident but because he didn't want his sons to fight over the inheritance when he'd die so his "genius" solution was to send one away. And anyway, since when is the 11 yo responsible for his father's terrible choice lol ?
Well not that would be putting the entire state of a planete on one individual
I've never played this game before, but holy hot damn, THIS is what I'd call a frantic boss theme! I just love it. :)
ArctusDracon play it, it's great
So far in my quest to complete the Tales series, I have beaten Abyss, Hearts, Xillia, Xillia 2, and now Graces. Emeraude is definitely one of my favorite characters from the series and her battle felt it. I was desperately hoping she would be the final boss, but I guess I can't complain with penultimate.
Three words. Screw. This. Boss.
It's not hard really, more obnoxious than anything
The music's nice, though. It really captures Emeraude's insanity.
Nah, on the higher difficulty Emeraude is one hell of a boss. I remember it was nearly impossible to attack her close range since she would protect herself with powerful artes. And don't get me started on DAT ULTIMATE xD.
MisakaMisaka0202 I owned lambda on my first try on this game
Man i loved this battle music so much, it gave me goosebumps.
I failed everyone
Paulo Henrique Farias
forgive me.....
Paulo Henrique Farias I can... Still move.
This can't be happening, aggh..forgive me, the rest...is up to you, I can still...nggh.
Such an underutilized antagonist. I wish we could see more of her in the crossover games like Rays.
.........this boss....I got her down to about 500 HP then she sparked off her mystic arte and killed my entire party.....the rage.......
+SuperDuperCooper08 Happend to me too... worst of all, once i finally beat her, i used the navigation to discover the crash area where lambda landed , then i got "attacked" by lambda's body, which exploded and killed my whole team.... but i didn't save, so i had to fight richard and emeraude all over again.... that's the rage
+Hikari lmao
Hikari I feel your pain....that little side quest sucks ass.
You can still see the gem glowing on the right hand.
Why on earth Emeraude wasn't the final antagonist I'll never understand.
Dobadobadooo She would be better than Richard and Lambda
Me(vs. Emeraude on Chaos Mode): This... is the final str-
Emeraude: Decisive Saber!
On the one hand, still waiting for a party member to finally have access to Killing Field. On the other, that might even be more broken than Rita's Tidal Wave.
Emeraude:(demonic laugh) let us dance
I knew she was gonna turn out something like she did soon after I met her in game. Totally called it.
Me the: Damn Lamba is a bad guy
Me after: Lambda is a victim
I love Emeraude's theme. Everything about it feels frantic and upbeat, like something terrible is going to happen or the world is spinning out of control.
Make no joke though. Emeraude is a hard boss to face. We died the first time trying to beat her. My Sophie is getting better though! (Even though I played Cheria for pretty much the entire thing...XP)
When precisely do you have to defeat emeraude
The golden waterflow It's around the end of the second segment, before Lineage and Legacies.
I'm not going to spoil anything if you don't want me to.
No lie. I had her down to 705 HP then she sparked off my mystic arte and killed my entire party...the rage...
SuperDuperCooper08 It's really bad when you are just on a roll and suddenly half your party is wiped out and you're trying to revive them and it's not working at all because all she's doing is killing off whoever stands up. I play with my two brothers though (better than AI) and I play Cheria mostly.
Shade Flower You poor soul. I could never have enough patience to use a healer. ESPECIALLY In Graces. I usually main Hubert or Sophie but since most close range attacks are usuless against her, I had to spam Beast Blaster While Malik kept using his spells. The Boss was way too hard. Especially after Richard.
I always think if they played the violin super fast to this theme. And if they had an orchestra of this I'd love to see it.
Thanks :D
First time I played this game was on the second hardest difficulty, after I unlocked it. /Chaos was too hard for me)
Still, whenever i hear this theme I can't help but thinking: "Prepare your anus."
Longest fight in history for me.
Damn black aura... kept knocking Asbel, Hubert and Sophie away... >.
Hello, I love this music and Emeraude to death, she is my favorite boss in the game and I enjoy the opening opening to her battle, is there any chance you could possibly upload "The Curtain Rises" by chance? I can't find it anywhere in youtube and I just love how gaudy it sounds. That would be awesome!
Alright
Graces Stuƒƒ Thanks a bunch!
The person playing the violin must be either the best violin player ever or is really full of caffeine.
Well, since the main cast didn't fill the bust requirement as they usually do, they had to add it somewhere else.
i did, Cruxis... i love the battle system. its... different. And nice Genis icon. haha
9:00 " won't you take a ladies hand good sir?" " ... what is in your other hand? o.o "
I must have missed where I said I thought it would be different. All I see is me saying that they had the chance to make it decent and didn't take it.
ikr she was acting crazy just because she had lambda's power
That battle was so fucking intense... DX thank crucis it only took me one try!
They should make a menu for selecting theme you want to hear in battle. Instead of the costume and first place setting =(
i thourght there was gonna be a plot twist, emmeraude would get away and become lambda..... but then
anyone know the best way to level way to level up and the recommended party because Richard kicked my ass pretty badly. I'm around lvl.47
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah! i like your cheria btw.
actually, she is the enemy in the entire Graces if you think about it. its all her fault. about Lambda, and Little Queen.
Its the best Boss in this game
The entire game was about friendship up to that point, what made you think it would be different at the end?
That we spend the entirety of Fodra with her learning about her past and relation to Lambda, and when they finally build her up enough and she reveals her colors, she just goes away. They just give it back to Richard when she would have been a more interesting enemy, since her intentions were to rebuild her world and Richard's was destroy it for a petty grudge. They had a chance to make the story somewhat decent, and threw it away for more friendship garbage.
I hated the Emeraude fight so much I was like "yes beat Richard!" me watching the scene o.o saw Emeraude hurt Sophie O.O the Emeraude fight starts "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" after the fight "HAHA YOU LOST EMERAUDE" *victory dance*
What happened to emeraudes other hand?
true
Asbel: We will survive!
Me:.....*purposely kills Asbel for jinxing me*
I shall be the goddess of a new world!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Me:ya see Asbel this is all your fault!!! >.
its in Graces f, the story is not finished
Why use your characters that you spent hours developing?
I'm having trouble understanding what you asked.
Finally somebody who understands! I thought that switch was so stupid..
And tea bagging it.
I couldn't understand what they were saying in the first place.
it happens to a majority of characters though XD
This is actually true. She caused the events of Graces and Lineage & Legacies. So really, she got all the development needed. Her getting killed off like that was just Karma finally hitting her where it hurts. The rest of the game is just cleaning the mess she caused and reminding us just how much we should hate her for it. Even the heroes can't stand her after seeing what she did in the past and where it led to.
BAHAHAHAHAHAHA *stomp*
He's only stabbing a corpse.
Did you mean Cruxis? Anyway this game is tough, not used to the battle style.
That's exactly it, she got all her development out of the way and it led to nothing. They try to paint Lambda as the tragic villain when he has no dimension past 1000+ year old hate. I'm not saying Emeraude is the most colorful character in the world, but at least with her awakening in the present she tried to atone for what she did to her planet. The party even feels sorry for her skewed but good intentions in L&L. Lambda kills the reason he was mad in the first place and doesn't change at all.
Ahhh. Yeah, that was a pretty bad move. The story would have likely been better if Emeraude kept Lambda (and woulda been nice for Richard to rejoin) but eh. Nothing can be done.
I'm pretty sure GracesGods is being sarcastic
yea thas was a surpise not the batale emaurade was supucious but thas she die after werre i said to myself she gonna be the main agornis now and be the final boss but then she die just after taht was a suprise for me
The best part of this game was when she exploded XD
MrBracchidios hahaha that's pretty messed up
I still hate her as a boss though.
Damn that anti-physical field...!
Killing field......that is all
I agree.
I loved Graces (actually, I love the Tales of- series in general) but Emeradue seemed better as an antagonist. For a while as well, I kept looking for equipment for Richard because I thought he was going to join again... guess I was wrong.
Whoever is doing this knock it off quit flagging my comments
Multiple As surely make two Ds.
laupok!
As much as I hated this game out of every Tales of game with it's highschool friendship tropes and awkward battle system, I loved this boss to bits. Paschal for the win.
I learned to look at the good sides of this games after Zestiria. Because everything looks good after playing Zestiria.
man this boss battle was a pain in the neak and annoying but theme was nice
The damage aura this boss has is really annoying, you better mastered red and green auras by this point of the game, or get ready to take 20 minutes chipping away at her.
