Axing Out a Cooking Spoon. Axe ASMR.

Part of my work day in the woods, sourcing wood and axing out spoon blanks I later carve into spoons. Relaxing axe work in the late autumn/ early winter sun. Traditional hand craft. Green woodworking. Axe ASMR.

Do you use template or freehand it?

I draw them all freehand. Never liked templates much. This is faster and I adapt it to each piece of wood 🙂

That is not a spoon. It's a rough outline of spoon. I was hoping to see how you carve it. This is rough work only.
