    Couple things…. You should always shake the can side to side… Not up and down like he did. He also stated to keep going until the can is empty… don’t do that. Read the meter included with the can. That is why it is there.

      @@aaronverico1396u can evacuate the system with a vacuum pump from Harbor Freight and a set of ac hoses/gauges. If u dnt already have both tho, it would probably be cheaper to let a mechanic do it. Plus its technically “illegal” to evac refrigerant into the atmosphere. Never stopped me tho lol

    • @thingsaroundusa9600
      @thingsaroundusa9600  3 года назад

      when you turn on the air conditioning, make sure that the air blowing out is cool or warm. If the warm air comes out which mean that your air conditioning is out of freon. Also, make sure that your air conditioning system is not leaking and compressor working correctly before filling it with freon. Otherwise, the new freon does not last long. • @StealthNinja4577
      @StealthNinja4577 2 года назад

      There could be dozens of things wrong and reasons why the AC isn't blowing cold. The easiest thing to try is getting a can with a valve and connecting it and seeing what the low pressure reads before adding more. As a Honda ages it loses the gas slowly so if it's old and never been touched it's probably just low on gas. Worst case it's 30 bucks just don't get one with oil or sealant and give it a shot.

    This is a terrible how to video to the novice and it is too long, could have been 5 min. If this is the video about recharging the AC system, stick to that, he rambles about checking the AC compressor among other things but did not show anything. There are also multiple errors in his voice over, it is the AC compressor, not air compressor, get it right! In addition, you NEVER want to overcharge the AC system, when the gauge read 40-45PSI, STOP charging it, overcharging the AC system will cause major leak and failure. In addition, what is the point of showing glove and safety glasses if he was going to use it? The AC freon is a dangerous chemical, it could freeze your skin or hand instantly, use the rubber glove when you connect and disconnect the hose to the intake port in addition to wearing the safety glasses to protect your eyes. He also did not show what the AC setting inside the car and did not have a thermometer to measure the air temperature. The thermometer will tell exactly what the temperature at the air vent BEFORE and AFTER the recharging to show it works!!! There are much better video from people who KNEW what to do rather than half baked video like this.
