Exactly! But those batteries are awesome. I will say that for 12v tools, they are super powerful. Milwaukee has done a really great job with the engineering and innovation with the m12 line. A few years ago 12v sinking that big lag wouldn't be capable of doing it. Kudos to Milwaukee for making these tools really great. Beastmode!
@@cetoolden My M12 tools are more geared towards the automotive side of the fence and from the testing I see on other channels the power increase using this HO XC 5.0 is hardly noticeable while using it in automotive applications. The 2.5 HO torpedo style on the other hand will be something I'll pick up for that extra power in my stubby's when the boot gets in the way getting into some tight spots in and around engine bays and suspensions. I see this particular battery advantage more suited for the Home Improvement sector drills, saws, drivers etc. 99% of the time I run 6.0's in all my M12 Automotive tools so for now the only advantage I see in the HO XC 5.0 is a bit more run time and a beefier shell other than that the power is pretty much the same at least for the tools I use. Don't get me wrong ill still pick some up on sale, but I was hoping they would produce a bigger jump in power over the 6.0.
@@johnny4713ify I agree with you. Although it was a huge difference between the 6.0 and 5.0 HO driving in that huge lag. Otherwise on other tasks it would be equal capability. You being in automotive will greatly benefit from the 2.5 HO. Good luck. 👍
from 2.0 to 2.5 isn't a sizeable jump in my opinion. Probably a good way to nickel and dime you to death as they will probably come out with higher outputs in this shape later.
@@alcerz984 Not so much in that department, but the newer Gen 18650's is why I'd pick them up over any torpedo style 2.0 or boot style XC battery. I've just replaced another XC 6.0 under warranty since they only seem to last about 1.5 years on average for me. I'm not the only one who's had trouble with these dying prematurely on them. Hopefully Milwaukee will come out with a Similar design to the Dewalt Powerstack for the M12 line this year if not for a new M12 user the HO M12 Batteries will be the smarter choice at least for now.
More impressed with the impact driver taking that much abuse🤣👍🏻
