I'm really more interested in the motion control side of VR games than I am in the VR headset themselves. One thing I would love is to be able to leverage the support for 3D mice in CAD software to be able to use a motion controller instead. Fusion 360 is free for enthusiasts and it is very popular in 3D printing so it already has a wide user base with the hacker mentality so I suspect this functionality would be quite popular. I think it would also be really fun to use motion controllers to fly ships in Star Citizen. Those controllers could easily be mounted on 3D printed rigs and be used separately for rotation and translation in all 3 axes.
FOR EVERYONE WITH THE LANGUAGE PROBLEM This worked for me : -Go to your library -Search for SteamVR on the left side where you can see your games -You will see that SteamVR for some reason is already in your library.
I wish Nintendo made their Labo VR with detached joycons to do some form of cheaper VR option equivalent to Occulus or PlayStation 4/5 setups, and then kinda like being the cheaper hardware of traditional games, Nintendo would cater to those people for low costs in VR and we could still have the decent quality ports of well known VR games come to it if the game engine is supported on the hardware. I honestly just wanted Beat Saber moreso haha.
This comment confuses me some. The Switch is already $300 USD, along with the Quest 2 being the same value. I'm not sure if this comment was posted before the 128GB version was released either.
ive started using the ps move instead of joycons and i love it, i own a valve index and i also own a psvr but i like using tvr anyways! It's super fun!

Because it wouldn't handle vr, switch is comparable to PS3 or x360. Imagine playing on them, look at how bad gta5 is running there then multiply it by 20.
resolution is terrible, you'd be getting 640x720 per eye, compare that to a phone which will give you about 1220x1080 per eye, or most pc vr will give 2k or even 4k resolution now

Pls don't buy it, I bought it like a month ago for my birthday, spend like 4 hours (over the refund limit) just to find that the instructions for the psmove were outdated, when I finally got it working it, it worked horribly,. I was barely able to press the continue button in the game I tried.

Great in general but when I got to calibrating on the driver4VR I got really confused on where to go and the time your given to set up on there is so short it's nearly impossible to do it quickly.
I think you could have a pretty good but not the best cheap experience if you 1. Have some controllers 2. Have a phone headset (like Google cardboard or gear VR) and lastly have a Kinect.

Bought some Gioteck JC-20 Switch controllers - a lot cheaper than official Nintendo joy-cons - reviews state all work as expected just like official controllers when used on switch - Motion controls DON'T work with driver4vr - Can use BetterJoy and YUZU - and it does say motion control working on the Yuzu controller set up - any ideas?

I'm still having troubles connecting this to Driver4VR. The software sees it but it doesn't receive any inputs from it at all when I open the preview, not even a gyroscope input
im using the trial version and i cant get a second of gameplay AND the time for gameplay went down to 7 minutes instead of 10 i cant tell if its intentional so people buy the full thing or it just was an update but thing is my controllers freeze so i cant move or do anything
The only problem I have is my controllers becoming useless once I enter VR chat. They just fly/hover away and a reset doesnt help. This is a new bug tho
7:32 some people can do it on expert I used tvr and kinect 360 to play beat saber for 6 months before I got my quest 1 and I was able to pass levels on expert+

honestly, to me it seems better to drop $400 on an Oculus Quest 2(Rift S is cool but I'm talking about being on a budget and that's like 200 extra at Walmart), I'd say $400 is a pretty fair price for an Immersive portable VR headset that you can play more games on and link to your PC, especially considering that most of these consoles are around the same price, sometimes even more and the Nintendo Switch is half, and on top of that some people don't even have a PC or a switch, so in my eyes, this doesn't seem worth it, but it's still really cool what you did tho
Despite using a legit VR set now, it's still fun to watch these workarounds.

I don't know why it's on the switch because it could actually work. It could work with the vr labo , or just with a normal tv screen.
The VR labo doesn’t have a head strap, so sadly VR is greatly limited.

Somewhere in the switch settings you can get your controllers firmware updates.

I am currently working on a JoyCon Cardboard driver, will upload on my channel about it if I don't quit half-way through
I got it almost working until it i have to deal with 10 or 7 min trial to calibrate and test it which is a big hassle

The version of STEAMVR I'm using is 1.15.19 and has a different UI than this one. Not sure about which menus to go though on the newest version.
