For those that are having problems connecting the Joycons, I recommend connecting them one at a time. Idk if it works for anyone else, but it had most certainly worked for me.
I'm happy to say I can now play any vr games with a foam headset to put my phone and my joy cons. You did an amazing job at creating this program and I'm happy to say this is 20 bucks well spent

my friend, you just saved me 400 bucks, i tried doing this last year, but i couldnt pair both controllers, then i found out it was my bluetooth adapter, now i got a vr headset, thank you my friend.

But just a link is fine :) Edit: I just figured out what "i just bought another one and used them at the same time" means, you use 2 bluetooth adapter at the same time ? Because by "them" i understood joycons, so I thought that ONLY your new adapter can control both joycons

Usually when I do these kinds of ghetto-rig things (hehehe where I grew up it's slang for "workaround") there's almost always an issue with something going wrong halfway through. Yes you can but what just do is download Trinus vr on my phone and pc and every thing on the pc will be on your phone and u can get a cheap mobile headset for $10
If I run steam vr and run driver4vr do I have to download the driver4vr app on mobile because I downloaded software called riftcat already so if I run steam vr through riftcat can I just run driver4vr also well it’s connected to steam vr?

So I was on the same boat that many other people that were havin trouble with them staying connected. I figured out that if you dont have it started after you connect the joy cons, then it works 100 percent of the time. If it disconnects then you will have to restart your VR and then redo the process but its not much of a hassle for me.
Great tutorial. It was very useful. Can you use a mix of controllers? Such as one Joycon and a Daydream remote. I ask because my left Joycon is faulty.
Not much has really changed. Device Manager is now called Tracker Manager, and the Device Support menu is no longer at the bottom of Tracker Manager, instead it's a menu. That's it.
How do you move in VRChat? I did the Virtual Move step, but my playermodel doesn`t move... it's like i'm moving myself and the character doesn't respond.
Great idea, however I snagged some cheap non Nintendo joy-cons off amazon (thought the motion controls would still work) and no luck, tried everything I could think of to get them to show up working. :(
I think you should make it os that when the Kinect can’t see one of the controllers it should either just stay in that position or go back to oculus go estimation, but when the Kinect can see again it will go back to normal

Dude i just got it, close D4Vr, unpair the joycons, open d4VR again, on tracker manager open bluetooth settings, pair again the joy cons and try to find them on tracker manager I hope that work for you too
Make sure in your Bluetooth settings the controllers are listed as Connected, not Paired. If they are not listed as Connected you need to un-pair them / remove them and re-pair them so it will Connect. Sucks Joycons werent made for PC connections so theres no auto reconnnect. =/
Small question: Once Kinect skeleton tracking is activated, will the Joycon controls for Virtual Movement, Arm Length Emulation, and Reset Headset Position still be active? If so, can I disable that?
I'm just using some bootleg Google Cardboard I got at a convention, with a strap made of paper clips and rubber bands. I can't really recommend it, though.

that happen once when i first began using it, when i releaized that i hadn't checked yes im using nintendo joycon tab on device manager and also forgot to put virtual tracker option on that will also make it not locate. after i made sure those two were both done i closed and restarted with joycons paired and on and it worked after, have to repair joycons if you connect to switch to charge or if you dont exit steam vr X button , if you close driver you will have to repair for some odd reason. same for any of the other tabs you using for what controller

For what reason would you take my information and go snooping around the internet for my data? It's even scarier that this is an outdated version of my current profile image. Like where did you even find it? I can't comprehend any of it.
I'm distrustful of this because there's no demo or trial and it's like 20 dollars. You have to buy it before you can even test whether it will work properly for you. At least with Riftcat, they put it on a 5min shutdown on the free trial. During that 5 minutes, you can troubleshoot whether it works properly on your device.
Everything works, motion is fine during Steam VR, but when I try to open VRChat, the game itself crashes instantly. (I'm using tVR, I disabled it and I had the same problem, nothing changed) How do I fix?

what if i have chineas knock-off joycons? will ill be able to connect them? cuz I'm trying to do so and they're connected in Bluetooth but they're not showing up in the detected device list in the program.
I tried it but I think I need to change my USB Bluetooth. It's very unstable and it disconnects in a few seconds. The funny thing is that I bought the other day an Asus BT400 on amazon and the seller sent me a unoriginal one. I had to refund it. EDIT: After restarting the PC I've got it connected both. Anyway it's very laggy probably due my crappy Bluetooth or USB bandwidth. Thanks for the tutorial!

Both of my joycons say connected but only the one that I connected first works. And when I try to remove and connect again, it just says paired.

If you use iVRy driver for your phone it can use the phones built in gyro for head training. At least it does for my phone.

What Kinect did you use for the full body tracking and does it allow for "room scale" tracking like the Vive?

You need to update this, since half these options aren't here and you just randonly jump into menus that we have no clue where you are at.

Setting this up is completely hell. First the joycons aren't detected at all. When they are, it won't move at all.

After connecting to PC you can still connect them to Switch without any problem

The other controller connects but the right one won’t freaking connect
i was having the same problem. disconnect the controller that isnt connectin, and re-pair it. if that diesnt work, vice versa
