Eagle Alley - Old Jack Jones (Mevagissey Shanty Fest 2021)

An nearly traditional sea shanty written by Adey Shaw, about possibly the mightiest matelot to sail the seven seas.
On the last day of Mevagissey Shanty Festival 2021, down on the quay, Eagle Alley stumbled across a number of stray members of other shanty crews. The day being fair, we all decided to have a bit of a sing, though we had never met before, let alone sung together. That sing went on for nearly 45 minutes, and attracted the attention of a goodly audience together with Alison & Nat Taylor of Buzzard Films.
The latter filmed this motley crew singing Old Jack Jones, and kindly provided us with a copy. A bit of post production editing by Rob Winder and some sound tweaking by Chris Timson and this is the result. Enjoy!
