Agreed. It is actually what made me feel like listening to YMCA in it's entirety for the first time. And that led the song, which is over twice my current age, to be stuck in my head for several days.
I love how the lyrics are blended into the dialogue like Love Song and YMCA, really clever writing there.

Jokes on you I had to sing that song for chorus in school.
In all actuality if he wrote all of these songs without having heard the originals, he was a musical genius who just happened to have been extremely unlucky because all of his songs against all odds have been made by someone else already due to pure coincidence.
This actually happened to me in 2020. I wrote a song and then my sister said I copied it from tick tock. Coincidentally the lyrics were the same but the melody was different
The lyrics could use some work but the compositions are amazing!
That's kinda the inspiration for this series since Daniel accidentally wrote The Office theme
eh, not really pure coincidence. Our societal trends favour certain types of music, and there are only a limited number of patterns of music that sound good, so given societal context, a general theme, etc. it's not entirely unlikely to recreate other songs. To this extent and this many times, yeah, obviously, but we don't find random assortments of notes enjoyable to listen to, there is a pattern we recognize on a subconscious level that makes music sound good, (more accurately several but you get the point) so multiple people creating similar patterns isn't "pure coincidence"
Which is a point brought up very often whenever something in a song is similar to something in another song

The fact that he created a 5 part series over the span of 2 years for the soul purpose of Rickrolling all his fans is the very definition of dedication
A commenter on the previous video noted that somehow that one hadn't come up yet, so now I'm wondering how much time Daniel spends in the comments section.. or whether that was his evil plan all along! 😆

I don't know if it was the intent but these series is a testament to the ever increasing impossibilty of creating original music.
Any given instrument is only capable of so few sounds, and those can only be put in so many orders.
Eventually, especially with the added limitation of actually sounding good, they *will* all have been done.
