“But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to salvation, and only a few find it.” Christ’s death on the cross was sufficient for the salvation of everyone, and for the forgiveness of all sins. Clearly, His heart longs for all to be in an eternal relationship with Him. Nevertheless, He does not force us to be saved. Is this because we have been given enough will to freely choose God, or to choose ourselves? Is this because Our Lord wants genuine love in return? Is this because He will not force us to participate in the great wedding feast, with the Church as the Bride of Christ? I’m willing to say this is a mystery, but I feel like my heart knows the answer.
Hello Dear Anthony, thank you for sharing your personal thoughts on salvation. I understand what you are saying, I do fear for myself, that I will choose my own desires over choosing Christ. About confession, to the credit of our pastor here in Maryland, he scheduled an entire day of confession during Advent, with several priests, including himself, available, with extended hours if needed.
2nd Vatican Council coz of tyranny of cancelled good priest, bishops, tremendous loss of vacations, loss of weekly confession, loss of Sundsy Mass attedance; not heeding to Our Mother Mary's Fatima's message: prayers.pennance, fasting, abstinence to defeat sin in the world.
The Remnant should seek refuge in the SSPX which is not ideal but it is safe. A lot a many naive souls are living in error and others in distress. I am afraid of the souls of the Vatican ruling class under the government of Bergoglio. Lord have mercy on the simple people
I've noticed something peculiar to priests within the Norvos Ordo.. and it is summed up in an example of confession. I went on Saturday to the unicorn NO that does some Latin while I lived in Texas, and they used a confessional screen with 2 different priests and the line was from end to end of the Church. I decided to try another Church in town and drove to another. The priest was alone not waiting in a confessional (if they had one I couldn't tell) and playing the piano. I asked if he was doing confession, so he heard mine face to face. And I realized no wonder there is no line. I've never had a problem looking someone in the eye and telling him my sins I figure uts just Christ wanting me to eat a bit of humility, but it could be really difficult for the sensibilities of some, who would then flee from confession. Where the NO priest treats it like a counseling session instead of a sacrament, thereby stripping it of its efficacy. Ironic when the "intent" is to be more welcoming it ends up being more off putting.
Yeah… my very tiny parish has a priest that only goes into the confessional when someone asks to go to confession. I lack enough humility, so go to another parish for confession. The priest stays inside the confessional from 5-6pm every Thursday evening. I work close to that church (an hour away) so it works well!
A very sad state of affairs, in the current confusion that is today's Catholic Church, when Catholics must resort to sifting, sorting and sampling, churches in order to encounter genuine Catholicism. But that is the reality we subsist in.
Whether Francis is pope or not isn’t for me to figure out. I do know he’s not a very theologically sound priest/bishop/pope. So just try to stick to traditionally sound teachings. I’ll let others in correct positions, and God, sort it out. My job seems to be to pray and fast. And gently lead others back to the beauty of the Truth.
Does anyone know whatever happened to the man who boldly and publicly confronted Francis, telling him plainly this is not how God wants the Church? Does anyone here remember that event? Francis dismissed the man as mentally ill and had him removed by security.
Great let's see Francis visiting prisons and publicly forgive paedophile priests and then because they have been forgiven demand their immediate release. If everyone is going to heaven then surely those forgiven by the Pope will be front of the queue. Can't see it happening Frank gets terribly upset at the thought of the Latin Mass imagine what he really thinks of people who commit more serious "sins" than attending mass.
Dr A....another option that forecasts new events .....Bergoglio, is pope but, a pope without Keys.....alternatively, Rome, gave Bergog the chair of Peter but, B16 never relinquished the Keys of Christ. The Emeritus doctrine, stepping 2 the side was the instrument that activates the Katechon, mechanism .....
Compassion? A compassionate human being does not decide that an 81 yr old priest will not even be provided w/shelter. He does not stop Traditional Masses worldwide, again kicking priests to the curb, let alone all the families left w/o a church. He does not misguide couples that are struggling w/Catholic teachings on faith and morals. You shall now him by his fruits.
There is one test and it is a very clear one explicitly authorized by Sacred Scripture: 'My sheep know my voice and they hear me and follow me; the wolves' voice they also hear and know not to follow.' A Pope must be Pope by acclamation of Christians and no less than.
From what I understand, the blessings in the Roman Ritual are for priests alone. My understanding comes from the discussion some years back - can permanent deacons use the Roman Ritual for blessings? Answer: No, those are for priests only. Different topic, but it seems like the same answer.
The church is in a sad state. Woke and into modernization. Jesus did not say change His words for the times we live in. And the poor Latin Mass. The treasure of the church the pope has destroyed.
I really do not clearly remember what occurred under JP II. But, as I recall JP II was loath to discipline priests, bishops, cardinals, etc. etc.. Just look how long it took JP to move against those two Liberation Theologians in Central America Boff, and the other one, and Charles Curran etc.. Seems to me JP II took the Merciful approach over the punishment approach.
I’m not a theologian or for that matter a rocket scientist but it seems to me what Pope Francis’s and his pal are saying would lead one to conclude that the Ten Commandments , Confession, and repentance are not necessary as heaven has a “come one, come all policy” Also ,it contradicts the words of Christ so are they saying Jesus lied when he said “I am the way, the truth and the life, no one gets to heaven except thru me”.
"At [Jesus'] coming, all people will arise bodily and give an accounting of their own deeds. Those who have done good will enter eternal life, and those who have done evil will enter eternal fire. "This is the catholic faith: one cannot be saved without believing it firmly and faithfully." --from the Athanasian Creed
It applies when one is addressed by their given name with the title Pope, Supreme Pontiff etc... in the case here as with that of Archbishop Vigano et al they clearly refer to Jorge Bergoglio by his given name alone without the appellation of Pope. Rightly and correctly because Bergoglio holds no eccleciastical office nor is he even a member of the Church due to his manifest heresy that is undeniable.
Can. 1364- § 1. An apostate from the faith, a heretic or a schismatic incurs a latae sententiae excommunication, without prejudice to the provision of can. 194 § 1 n. 2; he or she may also be punished with the penalties mentioned in can. 1336 §§ 2-4. This applies more to Bergoglio than any priest or Archbishop who has been "excommunicated". In fact the Apostate Usurper has indeed excommunicated himself.
Oh, I have no doubt that Bishop Schneider and Cardinal Burke take this situation very, very seriously. But they are cautious about what to say publically. This is not out of personal pride, but out of concern that each one be able to maintain the authority of his appointed clerical office. They are probably undecided as to whether Francis is indeed a valid pope, and therefore concerned that their prayers of deliverance and protection for the Church remain efficacious, even if the worst case should turn out to be true.
I agree! All Catholic faithful should read the Bible and make the comparisons of Jesus’ directives to His apostles. Luke 9: 3 Nowhere, did Jesus approve of opulent buildings, treasures, beautifully tailored vestments, iconography, or indulgences. The “church” has hurt His simple message of Salvation by repentance and faith in Jesus’ death and resurrection, not by works.
Please read the scripture in context. If read piecemeal it distorts the meaning and leaves people self interpreting to fit their narrative and perspective. That us why the Catholic Church is guided by the magesterium of the past 2000 years.
Cardinal Fernandez seems to favor the doctrine of universal salvation called apokatastasis that was taught by Origen in the Early Church. It is not altogether historically clear, but Origen supposedly said that the punishment of hell was not eternal. One of his critics told Origen that if hell is not eternal, then neither is the happiness of heaven forever. Origen kind of agreed with the objection by teaching that indeed heaven is NOT eternal because like any delight, even the joy of heaven ''cloys'' to such an extent that the blessed become bored with it, and seek the adventure of another life on earth, even including all of the trials and tribulations that might entail for them, because again there would be another victory by Christ over the sins of the world, and a new heaven with renewed bliss would be commenced for another aeon, in a cycle of aeons of Paradise once again lost but gloriously regained, all in brand new ways, each of which, alas, would eventually become tedious to their experience. It is said, probably erroneously, that Origen also taught the heresy of the reincarnation of souls in different bodies to be used by them during the endless succession of aeons.
If you want truth follow crux ave. Pope Francis is Pope. God allows things for a reason. The Church must also go through the passion, it’s in scripture.
The truth is, Bergoglio is a heretic and a fraud. Your choice if you want to follow the directives of someone who doesn't wear, teach or espouse Catholicsm very well. A bad Pope is one thing. A heretical Pope, quite another. Choose your poison.
What we do know with certainty to be true is what St John wrote in the Book of Revelation, that he saw a vast crowd in heaven that no man could number. It is wicked nonsense to say that only three out of 30,000 are saved. Such a statement horribly denigrates the efficacy of our Savior Jesus Christ and his love for mankind. 3 out of 30,000 would mean that Christ was the most miserable failure of a savior conceivable. 3 out of 30,000 makes a mockery of the very idea of salvation. It can only create despair in the hearts of the faithful, something God most certainly does not desire. Jesus himself was asked if only a few were to be saved. His answer to this was, "Strive to enter by the narrow gate, for many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able." In fact Jesus did not directly answer the question. Instead of speaking of the number who were saved, he spoke of those who were not saved. He called them "many". This of course does not quantify the matter, obviously because Jesus did not desire to quantify the matter. "Many" can be almost any number. "Many" does not define any proportion to those who are saved. Jesus answered this way most likely because in fact it is not our business to know the proportions of those who are saved to those who are not saved. What is our business is to strive to enter by the narrow gate, and this is what Jesus taught us.
Didn’t some children, who were allowed to see hell, say many were falling into hell, like snowflakes? And at the same time only 3 went straight to Heaven? Many also went to purgatory. Primarily from sexual sins leading to hell. Which is easy to beleive now with so many not getting validly married.
@@j2muw667 I have no knowledge of those three Fatima children saying anything about only three people going straight to heaven. What we do know is that Christ died to save sinners, and He did not do so in vain.

You're correct, that isn't an excommunicable offense. Embracing the heresy of universal salvation is, however.
Thank you Anthony for informing us about the Francis philosophy of changing our faith that only God can do it is his church. Can I suggest that in your comments also acknowledge these wonderful priests that are putting their reputation online to correct Francis of what his proposals is doing to the sheep as confusion, and wanting to leave the faith completely.. can you emphasize for us as a lay persons to help these priest, financially, and spiritually, and pray for them, for they will be canceled, and have no means financially, and can’t tell the truth that is so needed to their sheep’s us and do the mass that is so needed since we are short of priest God bless you and your family.🙏⛪️🙏
The Vatican Council Who Appointed Pope Francis and Pope Francis Appointed Clergy Mean Nothing To Me I’m A Traditional Catholic
I too am faithful to the Roman Catholic faith. However I can’t in good conscience believe Bergoglio is the Holy Spirit’s choice to be the successor of Peter!
The Holy Ghost doesn't pick the Pope
Excellent program, Anthony! Stay courageous & attached to The Truth! Great reminders, too, re: St Cajetan's quote: "If someone, for a reasonable motive, holds the person of the pope in suspicion & refuses his presence & even his jurisdiction, he does not commit the delict of schism, nor any other whatsoever."
Fernandez probably “leaked” his position to the press because it’s been a while since he’s enjoyed the limelight caused by scandalizing the faithful.
Thus Spake Zaranthustra. Bot.
@@Margaret-d3rIt’s “Zarathustra” btw.
@marcelw6045 Did I misspell it? My bad. Sorry. (I even checked how to spell misspelled)😇
I am grateful to my parish priests at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Orlando that grant us confessions after the morning mass on weekdays, on Saturdays at 3 AM and on Sundays at 10 AM. Thank you Anthony. Ave Maria 🌹
Saturdays at 3 AM ? I think you actually mean 3 PM?
@@elizabethv_royalsfanA Novus Ordo church offerring confessions at 3:00 am? Fairy dust.
I think so too 😊
“But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to salvation, and only a few find it.” Christ’s death on the cross was sufficient for the salvation of everyone, and for the forgiveness of all sins.
Fernandez knows God and His Plans but provides no evidence. Sounds like massive, massive PRIDE!
Lord have mercy on the simple people
Bergolio is the pope of the novus ordo, and he is making a new church, Catholic in name only. We need to turn to Jesus and follow Him.
It's called Synodal Church. Not the word catholic in it. Let's be Catholic, real ones ! 😊
As a Catholic, I pray we have a new Pope who will return to the Traditions of the Council of Trent. Ave Maria
Where are the other Faithful Voices in His Church? They are Silent!
Complicit clergy

Whether Francis is pope or not isn’t for me to figure out.
I do know he’s not a very theologically sound priest/bishop/pope. So just try to stick to traditionally sound teachings.
I’ll let others in correct positions, and God, sort it out.
My job seems to be to pray and fast. And gently lead others back to the beauty of the Truth.
Nonsense on stilts, I love it
A parent, grandparents can NOT baptize a child-less that it be that death is imminent.
Does anyone know whatever happened to the man who boldly and publicly confronted Francis, telling him plainly this is not how God wants the Church? Does anyone here remember that event? Francis dismissed the man as mentally ill and had him removed by security.
We must stand up and stop Francis
But how?
Great let's see Francis visiting prisons and publicly forgive paedophile priests and then because they have been forgiven demand their immediate release. If everyone is going to heaven then surely those forgiven by the Pope will be front of the queue. Can't see it happening Frank gets terribly upset at the thought of the Latin Mass imagine what he really thinks of people who commit more serious "sins" than attending mass.
So I guess the voices (questions) of “the people of God” are not important to the Church.
I'm firmly confident that all will be saved... Except those terrible traditionalist dirtbags, & anyone else who doesn't agree with me...
😑
😂
"At [Jesus'] coming, all people will arise bodily and give an accounting of their own deeds. Those who have done good will enter eternal life, and those who have done evil will enter eternal fire.
"This is the catholic faith: one cannot be saved without believing it firmly and faithfully." --from the Athanasian Creed
We are LIVING IN AN AGE OF "MERCY!!" & it is CHRISTMASTIME AS WELL! Hence "people" ARE NOT "DROPPING DEAD FROM SIN!! (including BERGOGLIO!)" J
Timothy Gordon who I greatly respect did an excellent treatment regarding the difference between "hoping" and "wishing!" J
That is papolatry.
I agree!
All Catholic faithful should read the Bible and make the comparisons of Jesus’ directives to His apostles.
Luke 9: 3
Nowhere, did Jesus approve of opulent buildings, treasures, beautifully tailored vestments, iconography, or indulgences.
How to help them ?
And then again, a priest at Mass yesterday made sure to double down that Francis IS the Pope. Hmmm
The pope is so far off base it's not funny.
@@j2muw667
I have no knowledge of those three Fatima children saying anything about only three people going straight to heaven.
What we do know is that Christ died to save sinners, and He did not do so in vain.
I am defending the Priests, I personally know who love Jesus Christ and the Majesterium, who know what is happening is wrong, @Edu.
Anthony, I didn't write that comment to you.
It seems to me some people are categorizing all N.O. Priests into one bad bunch of rotten apples.
I strongly disagree!
Talk to them, dig deep, and you will see many don't know the catechism well, or why a a lot of traditionalists reject Vatican II. I've been totally amazed by this over the last years. I am not impressed at all.
@tanz5389 - one Priest, I've known for many years, was trying to teach me about the Council of Trent. I was very young and I didn't understand. In retrospect, he was instructing me on a strong foundation of our Faith. I am grateful for his friendship/guidance.
Praying for all Holy Priests
