Proud Support! Stuck in Silver unfortunately. Hoping this guide gets me to Gold. I've been focusing really hard and winning more frequently. Thanks for the video!!
First, try gather information on how to play support : what the role is about, what you have to do in order to play the role correctly. It is, in my opinion, a bit more important than how you play the champ. Don't take your ADC's creeps, please. ^^ But if you want to learn how to play it with Nami, I'd say R > W > E > Q as skill order, in lane you have a lot of power with the aery rune and your W heal, so don't be afraid to poke with your W as it heals you back. If you don't have full health, get close to an enemy, and use alt-W (this casts the spell directly on you), so you're sure the first heal will go off and the bounce will directly go to the enemy, opposed as if you target the enemy, you're not sure the bounce will go back to you. Use your E to poke too, but be careful with it, as it gets you very close to your opponents. You can also use it in order to proc your passive and get a slight speed boost, but most of the time you'll be putting it on your ADC when you see him autoattacking someone. Your Q is very unreliable if you're not a skillshot god, so if you get aggressive, it's better to use E on your ADC or yourself in order to maximize your chances by slowing your target. If your jungler or ADC have a CC, use it as a follow-up. But don't overuse it, it will drain your mana with poor results. Be very careful with your ult, it is as great of a disengage tool as it is an engage tool, which means if you use it without being sure your engage will not be countered, it could leave you in a very tight situation. Don't use it from too far, also, because well, the slow will be out before you can reach your target. Remember that thanks to your passive it gives movespeed to the allies caught in the wave, so try to position yourself according to it. It is a very powerful ultimate, but it's also a very hard one to use well. Practice makes perfect, as some say. After laning, you need to switch from a pretty aggressive playstyle to a more defensive playstyle. Your early damage isn't that relevant, and the more you'll stay alive, the more heals you will be able to provide, which is always good. Peel for your ADC (or the MVP in your team), and try to bubble people who are either an immediate threat or are clustered (so you can stun 2+ people, which can turn the tide (haha) of a lost teamfight). E on whoever needs it. Mostly your ADC, but if your toplaner is chasing a low health guy, for example, the speedboost and the slow could be very useful. mikael As for the items, the blue thingy as a starter, mobi/lucidity boots depending on the situation, and stuff for heals/shields : redemption for the zone heal, ardent censer for the as/damage buff, mikaels for the cleanse (don't buy it if you're not on point with active items), locket of the iron solari if you're taking too much shit and/or need an active shield, athenes for overall mana regen and better heals. Now, that would be my guide for a good support Nami (with more stuff told, of course). But if you're really new at LoL and find all of this too bothersome, don't worry ! Just play what you want and how you want, and learn the basics while having fun, because well, having fun is what a game is about. Support is a more advanced role than ADC, mid and top, because it asks everyone to have an understanding of the game mechanics and what needs to be done in order to win. So work a bit around, mute toxic people (that's perhaps one of the best advices I can give you), do mistakes, try to understand how and why you did them, correct yourself, and you'll be on your way ! :)
Not playing LoL that much anymore... Competitive play doesn't bring me any fun, nor does playing this game everyday. I doubt I'll go back to making vids about LoL again (which is sad, RUclips still lacks of support content after all this time !). But thanks anyway, it honestly means so much to me to see people are still interested in what I did something like 2 years ago. :)
Completely understandable :D How is this video only has 572 views??? You should keep doing those, there is a huge void in the support educational channels that you could easly fill. You could be the phylol and foxdrop of supports, I really do belive that you can do it :D Hope seeing more videos from you. Subscribed.
I didn't know this guy before and I wish I will unknow him soon enough, that wasn't so nice. :D. I think I got better in my few other videos though, this one is still cringy even for me. Shame I stopped, hehe.

I've been mostly buying items that increase my mana, health and regen for both so I could stay alive more and heal teammates more.
