As a retired Locksmith I have installed hundreds of mortise locks on new builds. It was an absolute joy to see you bring this marvelous piece of precision equipment back to life and very glad that figured how to do the radius corners of the newer locks as opposed to the squared face locks of old. Great job!!!!!!!!!!!
I just have a hell of a time figuring out how you remember to put things back together. It fascinates me. Please keep doing all this cool stuff. And thank you for showing us that we don’t have to live in a throw away world.
I have 35 years woodworking experience and have never seen this device. Absolutely fantastic! You did a great job bringing it back to life and showing how it is used, thank you. Best regards.
Speaking as a 45 year woodworker including 15 years making commercial and custom residential doors I want to tell you that it was a real pleasure watching this restoration. I have never seen a hand device like this before. Beautiful restoration. Thank you for sharing.👍
I'm just an old country boy, I grew up in Kentucky and Indiana. I am impressed completely. If I may say so, don't let the "experts" comments get to you. Being self taught is mind-blowing. Please keep working on content. That's history you are working on. As they say "Those who don't study history are doomed to repeat it" And "Those who don't study history will become servants to those who do."
I really like this silent or ASMR approach. It’s kind of like reading as opposed to movies in that your mind gets to fill in things and ask questions that may be answered in the end. Where does that screw go? Why is it there? Will the tork be enough to actually dig out a mortise? And then I always wonder if by sandblasting you’re taking of too much metal so that the piece won’t fit back together. I guess not because these metal workers do it all the time.
Когда видео с юмором , смотрится веселей . Спасибо за ваш труд и просветительскую работу , я в первые вижу такой инструмент . When the video is humorous , it looks more fun . Thank you for your hard work and educational work , this is the first time I have seen such a tool .

it,s a good thing technology does not stop, otherwise we would still be back in the old age, doing things the old way and time consuming, but it,s good to see and preserve the things from back in the day, to see where we came from, to where we are at now with things .....good job as usual ......
Beautiful restoration of a very ingenious tool. I have never seen something like this and could not have identified it until you demonstrated it. Thank you and smiles from the USA
Congratulations Radek for this beautiful restoration. I had never seen this type of piece. Veronica, I don't know if it's Mother's Day there, but here in Brazil, Mother's Day is celebrated today, congratulations to you on Mother's Day.
I just love you guys! I get a beautiful restoration, a history lesson and pool lessons all in one on this one. LOL And, Happy Mother's Day to Veronika from the US.
The designers and builders of this tool intended it last the ages or until it was buried in acidic soil to rust ! An impressive piece and an equally impressive of revival. My real pleasure watching this is the thrill of “Will he get it all back together again in working order, or will he have screws left over?” He always does it perfectly, but there is still suspence😊😊😊
Excellent restoration. You managed to turn an old and tired machine into something that will be of use in the workshop for years to come. Thanks for sharing. Best wishes.
Dziękuję bardzo za pozytywne opinie! Wspaniale jest słyszeć, że poświęciłeś czas, aby do mnie napisać i podzielić się swoimi wrażeniami. Jeszcze raz dziękuję za miły komentarz, doceniam to!
Welcome back... thanks for sharing this insightful restoration video and demonstration of how this tool works. Wishing you and your family a blessed week and a gentle spring season. Trusting that you and your family are safe from the Ukraine / Russian conflict.
What an interesting yet random tool to rebuild. You do find some real treasures to bring back to life. Another great video. The best part is watching these things in action after you've done your magic...
Wow !! I have never seen one of these. An I've seen lots of things in my Old age that most people haven't seen or have seen but don't know what it is. Goodness you have done a fine Job on this. Thank you for sharing your Passsion and this Video. Love as you bring back memories an I also get to see items that I've never seen before
That is a really interesting tool. I am a carpenter in the US and I haven't seen a tool like that before. It works like a router plane but with much more depth ability. By the way your written English is excellent better than people who's only language is english!!
Ok I had NO idea what a mortiser was, but how cool! What a freaking clever device. Beautiful restoration, seriously made my day. Thank you so much for posting!!!!

Well done Radek, an entertaining video that was educational as well! I had no idea that such tools existed before power tools were common. I enjoyed the part before you washed the nuts and bolts when they all marched up the slope and you pretended to chalk a cue before you pushed them all into soapy water. Hoping you are all healthy and happy. Nick

I always enjoy your restorations. The results are beautiful. Demonstrating how they work is very interesting. Some of these tools I am familiar with, others, like this one, I am not. I was looking forward to seeing Verdona demonstrate how it works 😂.
It looks like there should be a guide block should be in that place. Looking at it, it could even be some kind of a depth device although I doubt it but definitely a guide block. Great restoration by the way. Keep it up 👍👍👍👍👍
My grandfather had a similar device, although identical in function, it was wildly different in design, using a food plate to move the cutter back and forth.
I would say a guide block of some sort is missing 🤔 . Never the you did a amazing job restoring this !! It works perfectly !! I just love how you show a a item works after the restoration !! Great work as always !!👍👍

Thanks my friend for the informative comment. I'll stick to it :) Greetings from the Czech Republic.
I’m glad that you demonstrated that. I have never seen one before.
Neither do I, but it works perfectly. It is probably not for common use, but rather for carpenters.
Ставлю лайк не глядя, интересный ремонт. Хорошие ключи, чистое рабочее место. Смотрю с удовольствием, жду новых видео всегда с нетерпением 👍

Another wonderful restoration. Done with care and love. These hand tools deserve to be restored and not tossed in the trash.
