Lever guns , lawn chairs, a few bricks of ammo and a cold Diet Coke on a Saturday afternoon. What could be more fun or more American. Up in my late sixties now and have been doing this as long as I can remember. Started with a marlin golden 39 in 22lr but now I shook Henry’s exclusively . My GB has literally thousands upon thousands or rounds down range and many of plastic dinosaurs and empty pop cans have fallen. Great video thanks for sharing and never ever out grow 22lr.
Thanks for the review! Great rifles. I own the Model 01, and the Big Boy Brass 357/38 spl. And I do agree, lever guns slow your shooting down. When I shoot especially the Big Boy, I try and make every shot the best I can ... and you can certainly buy a .22 semi-auto, and blast away, but there's just something really satisfying about cycling a lever gun ... :-) And you'll find if there are ever issues, Henry is legendary for customer service. I've ran 3000-4000 rounds thru my H001, since I bought it 4 years ago, and did to have to replace the firing pin, my own fault for too much winter boredom dry firing ... but it's very easy to do. Beyond that, there's just not a lot that can break.
Had one and sold it and I’ve regretted it ever since. Been saving my pennies to get another one. I’ll have to save up quite a bit more pennies now a days. Still worth it. Pretty sure I got my first one for a bit under 400 but hey no more mean tweets right. FJB!!! Thanks for the video man 👍
Just ordered one . Can’t wait to get it! I live in north Florida so I was thinking, what a waste of grits. Spreading them all over the ground like that!
I love it. The rifle is an educational rifle for young kids. It teaches the importance of aiming as there is an levering effort "cost" to each round. Its super accurate, and I feel comfortable with the lever kept open, its 100% safe. A little heavy for kids, but its awesome!. I replaced the sight with a Peep site and it is amazing!
Dude this is a very nice comment lol thank you!! Hopefully can keep producing content people like. Henry is awesome. I keep walking past a Henry X in 30-30
I love my Henry Golden boy. No you didn't pay too much it's a great investment. Those rifles will be an heirloom and always collectible. One of my favorite go to shooter.. And I have been a lifelong Collector.
I love my Golden Boy Hoot to shoot Did your rifle come with a big loop lever? Or did you install it after purchase Looks cool with the big loop lever Mine is standard lever
Just bought a used one, I understand these are not supposed to be dry fired…how can I inspect that the internals have no been damaged by previous dry firing it? (New to guns here so don’t know much) tks
It’s gunna be fine. There is a way to take off the golden brass shroud and look at everything but that’s insane. Just shoot it. If it shoots then it’s fine. Honestly, these things are built so well. Just go enjoy it without worrying about it.
A piece of art. My only 22. I will pass it on to my grandson. People at the range always come over to look at it.
It’s the best!

Great video on a nice little rifle. Video was so structured so well! I just picked up the Henry Evil Roy in .22lr. Nice fit and finish. Subbed.

Just put a deposit on this bad boy, my first firearm, super keen, good video mate, thanks!
Excellent choice. Thanks!!
Nice review. Thanks
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching.
I have the Winchester 9422 which is great rifle. But I do own a Henry 30-30 which is also a top quality firearm. USA made Lever Actions are the best.
I want a 30-30 so bad!
I love my Golden Boy
Hoot to shoot

Came that way. It’s so fun to plink with.
