It made him SO RELATABLE. I work all the time and spend a lot of time away from home as well and seeing Clark face that aspect of life really resonated with me. It's a shame. I'd have loved to see where the boys develop now that they both got their powers and how Lois and Clark cope with that. So much potential, down the drain.
I love the details here. Janet's voice is cracking, fresh from the shock but still excited. People around town watching the newscast on different devices. And of course this is such huge news to people around town that they stop what they're doing. Even the detail from Timmy and his mom of his relief of not feeling crazy and her shock that he was right.
A most heartfelt moment and speech. I think that whatever new Superman series that could possibly come after this one will have a daunting task in refreshing the magic yet again.
Probably one of the best episode of the show , the scene in the dinner rom with Emmett was something. And that guy who played Jimmy Olsen in flashback (Douglas Smith) really deserved to have some regular/main roles in the present events of the show, there was more to do with him. It was heartbreaking to see Clark turned back on friendship.
Is it really being a better father though? I mean revealing his identity to the world also reveals his identity to every villain he's ever fought and that ultimately puts his entire family in even more danger.
@@brockbell9429 I don't know, man. I feel like there's quite a few villains that isn't afraid of Superman. It's most the ones that are insane though. I just think all the villains being too afraid of Superman to mess with him is kinda boring and makes all those villains look weak and less interesting.
Hands down, the best episode in superman and Lois. The identity reveal is one thing we've all been waiting for. And the way it was revealed is just awesome. The music, the tones, the people..
Smallville did the same thing and Clark ended up turning back time. Hopefully we see how this plays out I'm the last.....the last .....last 3 episodes 😭😭
This was a family decision. Lois and the boys all agreed to it...with whatever repercussions and consequences may come their way next. The last thing I see is this show or Clark undermining the agency they had in this and making it so it never happened.
This is such an amazing development. Despite the potential dangers that would come to him and his loved ones, he revealed his identity to the world to connect with humanity on a more personal level. It falls in line with Clark’s character about truth as a concept. Now Superman truly aligns his actions with his values of truth and justice. Even though there will be some negative repercussions, there can still be positive ones as well.
The dangers always come anyway, but his sons are super too ... and Lois will be OK, because she's protected not by Clark but her two sons. I don't know how Smallville and humanity would react in the long run. In Lois and Clark there was a Superman in an alternative universe that was exposed as Clark Kent, very early in his career. I always wanted more stories about that character, his life was far more tragic than most Superman story arcs.
What I genuinely LOVE is that Clark gave his family agency in this decision. Lois and the boys wholeheartedly gave him their support....acknowledging and accepting WHATEVER consequences it may have. They're really going out the strongest they've ever been as a family (and, no, I'm not referring to Jon's powers).
I am so glad that the series finale didn’t end with the reveal and then fade to black. This has been so satisfying watching Clark process the vulnerability of being seen and truly known. Everyone attached to this show is amazing. I’m so grateful to them for the care they have put into crafting this masterpiece final season. They didn’t rob us of these moments to come.
Phenomenal acting. I stumbled across this after seeing some clips over the years so I've never watched the show, but god even I can just FEEL the emotion here, and I'm sure it's even stronger for the fans who've watched it all

@@SupermanJL I'm aware of that, but I'm not sure why you're bringing that up when the original comment was simply saying that this moment is like the one in Supergirl.
who ever picked Tyler Hoechlin to be superman, that person deserves a raise, cos Tyler is fantastic as clark/superman and this show has been nothing but good.
I mean, Lois with her known background has been a target of many villains already, while Jordan and Jonathan are already growing into their powers, so there isn't really much need to worry.
I mean he has superpowers unmatched, two nearly adult kids with the same powers, alien technology that can apparently bring people back from the dead, two Ironman looking superheroes on his side, the DOD since he probably still works alongside them, and a monster that can’t die and will protect Lois at all cost. I think he’s fine.
I know people don't like the fact that Clark is revealing himself to the entire world but remember secrets become weights after a while, even for the Man of Steel. They also become potential leverage for someone else to use if they singularly found out. So sometimes the best thing to do is to spill the beans. It means no more weight. The figurative "loaded gun" of unwanted exposure has been emptied. Managing an exposed truth is much better than losing control of a hidden one.
Bendis took the Super sons fron us and let's not forget what they did to Jon making him some dumb activist instead of using his powers to do real good.
As soon as the episode ended, I legitimately started sobbing over how utterly freaking proud I am of this WHOLE family. They handled the entire situation with such maturity and grace.
@@MarkGuerrero-cz9bh Exactly. I'm INCREDIBLY intrigued to get even just three more episodes of seeing what this family's new reality looks like. (Plus, it would've been an EXACT copy of Supergirl's ending.)
While this episode wasnt filled with action I did enjoy it. Definitely felt the emotions of the episode. The weight of clarks secret. Having to lie to jimmy. Oof
I love the storyline of his secret identity being revealed to the world. Brainiac did so to hopefully make earth hate supes, but the world actually embraced him and liked he lived a peqceful life with a normal job even with all the power in the world. There was also an issue where a small town found out his secret, but they decided to keep it secret to protect him for a bit longer.
Expect this one felt more human and not a bad shitty parody. It's crazy how this show wrote the characters great but now looking back with the other CW DC related shows. Makes you really see the cracks and faults they had with making these characters more human. Superman & Lois handled Superhuman superheroes better than The Flash, Legends, Black Lighting, and Supergirl. They focused on dumb sub plots and soap opera stuff versus actually respecting the characters. It's a shame Superman & Lois is ending I would love a continuation of this.
I am so sad this show is ending this is the best Superman Incarnation ever has all the charm of Christopher Reeve and all the realism of Zack Snyder's era.. the most important it shows how strong the Kent bond is
It's interesting, I don't think Clark would make this decision if his sons weren't superpowered. If they were normal kids he wouldn't put them in danger, but since they're Kryptonian like him, he wants to raise them in the open. It's incredible I'm still learning new things, and new creators are making awesome new things, about Superman 86 years after the character was created.
0:01- Episode is directed by Gregory Smith who played Ephram in the early 2000's series "Everwood" opposite "Smallville" on the WB. There's alot of Canadian veteran actors who used to be on Smallville in "Superman and Lois"
Nah dawg, james gunn, needs to let this show live. Corenswet can exist, and he'd be great for the kids but as an adult this version of super is the one we needed.
I understand why Clark and the family hate lying to protect his identity, but that secrecy also served to protect everyone around him. I feel like they have given all the bad guys an advantage, because not only do they know who he is, and where he is, but they now know everyone that has any association with him. Everyone in his immediate circle is now in more danger than they were before he blabbed his secret. Baddies will have the chance to grab them all, at any moment.
Not really. In the comics he's considered above average from skill to ability. Not to mention certain Kryptonitian martial arts deflect forms of mind reading.
Why do so many people like the idea of Superman revealing his identity. It's one of the worst things you can do when you are such a powerful individual. Now every villain has a clear target, also you throw away the option of ever having a normal life.
Yes the glasses is not much of a disguise. My thing would be if Zatanna had place a spell on something that Superman or Wonder Woman or Supergirl wore like the glasses or a watch or even a necklace that when he wore it he was Clark and when he took it off was Superman or the other way around.

*Conroy voice*: You're gonna what!? Clark that is the single dumbest idea you've ever had... and that's saying something.
Somewhere in Gotham is screaming "Clark, you moron"!!!!!
You seriously know nothing of the Clark/Bruce Relationship.
@Tizzo1982 exactly bro, they don't got a CLUE
Nah.
Unless Clark is playing nice, or otherwise hampered by some external factors, Bruce can’t lay a hand on him.
"So, why reveal your identity?"
"Well, why not? I mean... What are people going to do? Threaten me? I'm freakin' Superman."
Sounds like smth Homelander would say 😂
Threaten his wife....his sons would be okay though. They could take a bullet and and be okay. Their mom though.....thats a different story.
Criminals still know his weaknesses to Kryptonite and Red Kryptonite powers him down.
Superman does have vulnerabilities, kryptonite magic and Lois.
Lois...yea, thing Joker would do to her when he knows this reveal
They did this so beautifully 😅i actually cried my nerdy dreams came true
I know what you mean. No actor who ever portrayed Superman has made me feel emotional like Tyler has.
Teared up during this scene, I just love this show and I'm so sad and mad to see that it's getting cut so short
It truly is amazing how this fairly low budget show captured the essence of Superman more than multiple big budget films
Clark didn’t do this to be a better hero he did it to be a better father.
Is it really being a better father though? I mean revealing his identity to the world also reveals his identity to every villain he's ever fought and that ultimately puts his entire family in even more danger.
@ Yes but unless you’re Luther most villains wouldn’t fight Superman on purpose.
I did not believe this would ever happen in the show, tbch. I am glad they adapted this from the comics in a way.

@@AzguardMike He fought alongside Wonder woman,Batman Etc.. in The Smallville Season 11 Comic then When the Comic End then he became a Normal Human
This was a family decision. Lois and the boys all agreed to it...with whatever repercussions and consequences may come their way next. The last thing I see is this show or Clark undermining the agency they had in this and making it so it never happened.
This episode was crazy
A little slow bump on the szn but yes
@@jhammond1978 where do you watch it ?
where’d you watch it
@@jhammond1978 not really, the cinematography was mindblowing in this one which made every moment worth it
Tyler Hoechlin absolutely has nailed the role of Superman/Clark Kent in such a way... the new dude for the movie has huge shoes to fill honestly
I stumbled across this after seeing some clips over the years so I've never watched the show, but god even I can just FEEL the emotion here, and I'm sure it's even stronger for the fans who've watched it all
One of the best live action interpretations of Superman. I knew Tyler was going to be a good Superman but he’s knocked it out of the park
"A Husband, A father" Every villain, everywhere smiling.
I really had my doubts on him playing Superman but now wow he had blown my mind.
This is peak Superman truly one of the best versions of the character. Im really gonna miss this show

@@hazmat4260 that's all well and fine but that's not the same as this.. the Superman in the show Superman and Lois is not the same Superman from Supergirl or crisis.. this is not an arrowverse show.. the arrowverse ended with the flash.. so there's no need to bring up Kara or Oliver or any of that other stuff.. this is a stand-alone show.
@@SupermanJL I'm aware of that, but I'm not sure why you're bringing that up when the original comment was simply saying that this moment is like the one in Supergirl.
@@hazmat4260he can’t help telling people how he hates the Arrowverse and how this definitely has no relation to it.
who ever picked Tyler Hoechlin to be superman, that person deserves a raise, cos Tyler is fantastic as clark/superman and this show has been nothing but good.
This is the best superman show i have ever watched
Now all of the criminals and villains will put targets on Superman's family and friends on their backs
He’ll protect them
for the story they are all dead or incapacitated and for the production is the final season so no
I mean, Lois with her known background has been a target of many villains already, while Jordan and Jonathan are already growing into their powers, so there isn't really much need to worry.
What about Clark regaining his full strength?
I know people don't like the fact that Clark is revealing himself to the entire world but remember secrets become weights after a while, even for the Man of Steel. They also become potential leverage for someone else to use if they singularly found out. So sometimes the best thing to do is to spill the beans. It means no more weight. The figurative "loaded gun" of unwanted exposure has been emptied. Managing an exposed truth is much better than losing control of a hidden one.

Except this did it 10x better
@runisa True
He got to do it before the last episode though
@@Giles29 Yeah but at least he finally did it! So, I'm happy.
Superman has been in front of me all these years and I never had a clue. How is that possible?

0:01- Episode is directed by Gregory Smith who played Ephram in the early 2000's series "Everwood" opposite "Smallville" on the WB. There's alot of Canadian veteran actors who used to be on Smallville in "Superman and Lois"
Nah dawg, james gunn, needs to let this show live. Corenswet can exist, and he'd be great for the kids but as an adult this version of super is the one we needed.
CW killed it early because of the budget and the channel running out of money. Gunn wanted it to keep going for a while.
I always imagined there was some kryptonian tech in the glasses that masked his identity to the viewer.
In some stories there is, specifically the glass that came off of his ship
While im sad to see this Show end, i'm glad it ends at a high Point.
2:40 Powers? What powers? Superman doesn't have any powers. He is completely ordinary Kryptonian.
Barry and Kara are like “Welcome to the not-so-secret identity club!”

I thought he will just tell secret identity to just smallville, never thought he would public
The part when he said “I no longer have to hide a huge part of myself” hit me. I’m so happy this version of Superman can just be Clark Kent
My god, I never knew Clark Kent is Superman, that glasses sure fooled me
Yes the glasses is not much of a disguise. My thing would be if Zatanna had place a spell on something that Superman or Wonder Woman or Supergirl wore like the glasses or a watch or even a necklace that when he wore it he was Clark and when he took it off was Superman or the other way around.
This is the best superman serie followed by Smallville. Great episode. I really like the personality added to this character. Thank you...
