Natalie Fontane TBH I kinda miss these too! Now our cabinets have no hardware! It looks sleek but I kinda miss the handles 😭 I hope your new place is awesome in other ways!
Just for fun, I've watched a jillion of these organize-your-pantry videos online, and you are the FIRST person I've ever seen that has had the brains to include cooking instructions on different items when you decant foods into individual containers. Really smart & practical. Also important - always choose a container that's airtight, other those foods will spoil quicker than if they'd be left in their original packaging.
So normally I like to watch decluttering videos from people who are undoing complete messes. However, as an empty nester, I was happy to watch an organized person without kids show me how it's done . You are so cute. Thanks for sharing! Shannon
oh my gosh you are the first person with a pantry organizing video that has cooking instructions and expiration dates on your jars. It makes so much sense to me but no one does it.
Nuts and seeds in the freezer. I worked in a bakery 40 years. We bought walnuts and sliced almonds by the case. ALWAYS kept in the freezer. You don’t have to thaw to use them.
Since you clearly have a passion for organization, why not start now! You can organize friends/family kitchens, toys, etc. When I was a kid I used to love organizing my grandma's linens because she had tons of them; when in high school I organized my physics teachers office because it was notoriously a junk pile (as in, you couldn't even see the floor). Practice for free and then charge people! If you babysit, offer organizing to your clients!
Love this! I've watched so many videos for "research" before I finally organize my cabinets, and all I see in so many videos is wasted space. I love how you actually maximize the space!
Nuts in pantry, but we go through them fast. If I have extras of walnuts they go in the freezer. Love the cracker jars! I have them all over my pantry along with half gallon mason jars (swapped out for solid lids though). I recently swapped my pantry to all glass. I especially love the nerd labeling. Love your style.
I love your organizational style and ideas. I'm typically the one who thinks I'm "so organized" but just realized I'm more of a fixer upper. Thank you for the motivation!
Love your organization. I’m starting to organize my walk-in pantry. I’m now wishing it was smaller! I have to do a little at a time but you’ve given me some great ideas!
Really nicely organized. I really like it. The differences I have for myself are that I rarely use plastic because I’ve been able to get glass for so much cheaper at local stores. While I really like the way the OXO container look and would love to buy the silver top ones, I’ve heard that they don’t remain sealed. The tops on many glass jars aren’t perfect either though. There are some I have where I wonder what they were thinking when they designed them. But, for the most part, I still like glass as it’s far less likely to impart a taste or odor by off gassing. Still, the look is absolute perfection. You’ve given me some incentive to go back into my kitchen to continue organizing today. Thank you!

Allison silensky you can actually use 2x4 to raise the cans and stuff in back, and you can have them cut to the right size at Lowe’s or Home Depot. I use stacked 2x4s on the bottom then layer 2x4 s and 1x4s and 2x2s from the back forward to get the different levels I needed. My cabinets are 11.5 inches deep so I had to use a bit of math to get the levers I needed for the size cans I have or the size spices I have. I my label maker to put the name on the lid of the spices so I could read them easily from the front, since they stick around longer than the cans do. I also used a glossy paint to paint the inside of my darker wood cabinets white and painted the 2x4 s etc, white also. The gloss makes it easy to clean the painted wood occasionally.
Thanks for this video, very interesting to watch! I keep all of my nuts in the Freezer. I am a Cook, and they can go rancid fast. I find them easier to chop while they are frozen. You have great storage ideas...I am a new subscriber, and am hooked...LOL!
damn, the music! you're killing me. your cabinets are enviable and just stunning. so much thought has gone into every corner. i'm sharing these videos with my folks who love a well organized space. you are winning at this game. do you think you could do a video on how to use a closet that is too shallow for hangers? ugh!
Usually when I have nuts, its pecans, walnuts, and/ or almonds, mostly for baking. And I keep them in the freezer, so there oils don’t go rancid. I really like to use the plastic jars that Ziploc makes; the taller ones and the smaller ones, to use for things in the freezer, like: nuts, bread crumbs, fresh shredded coconut flakes, and shredded mozzarella cheese (for homemade pizzas.) I don’t want to use glass jars in the freezer, but I like the idea of plastic jars with the screwtop lids from Ziploc for the freezer for certain things.
The organization is admirable! You left me with blue balls though because I was excited to see how you organized your tea bags in what looked like an acrylic box and instead you just closed the cabinet. :,(
Very organized. I enjoy seeing the zones/categories since I recently moved and have less accessible areas. I have a tall 2-step step-stool as lots of cabinets are very tall, and raised higher off the counter than my previous kitchen. I have low cabinets in dining room, but I have arthritis in my knees so try to put things I don't often use anymore (crockpots for potlucks, etc) on bottom. Had to get a metal shelf from Lowe's for my main pantry. I'm 68 so trying to downsize, but I live with my son and sometimes I cook for him.
You know what I've noticed about all these pantry videos .. you all in some way apologize or feel the need to explain what kind of food you and your family are eating. You all know that it's ok to eat and have what you want and it's not anyone's business what it is or whom eats it... right? You are doing this to show us containers and organization skills. That's truly all we care about. Beautiful pantry btw !
I save the fast food sauces for putting in packed lunches. If they give us extras I always add them to my collection but I mark the date on them first with a Sharpie, no one wants to eat 2 year old ketchup.
Girl, that pantry is nice! I'm going through this myself--organizing my cabinets. Those containers look like OXO airtight containers. I just bought a set and you are right. They are not cheap, but they are worth it not to have all those dang bags in your cabinet. Great video!! ❤❤❤

Any-who, I absolutely love your personality and your videos are addicting. I'm learning some new ideas for easy and efficient storage ideas in my home. I love the idea of having the containers all see through and white, it looks so much better. I'm thinking about painting my kitchen white because it looks so much cleaner. My house is more of a neutral beige color and it just doesn't look clean to me. Thank you for the video, now on to the next :)
Thank you so much for subscribing! The clear containers have made a huge difference for us since we can see how much is left and it doesn't freak me out as much to see a lot of different containers. It's peaceful, LOL

I just re organized my pantry. Not quiet done. waiting for tubber ware container that I ordered before Christmas. If my neighbor doesnt deliver them soon , I will go get me them else where. Dang it.
I’ve never seen maple syrup in a metal can before now!! (I’ve only seen it sold in bottles here in the USA!!) What do you do with the rest of it once you open it? Pour it into some other bottle or something?
I pour it into a glass bottle after I open it but these hardly ever get used, especially since I stopped eating more than 25g of sugar per day. We’ve had to start turning then down LOL
I never saw maple syrup in a can. Interesting. Thanks for showing your cabinets, they happen to look like my sister's house. That will NEVER be my house, I'm not that domestic.
Btw, you said you don't really eat much bread. Do you have a video of what you DO eat (instead)? I grew up in Europe, and bread was an ever present staple (though very different from American bread; think sourdough rye). Input much appreciated! Thanks! :-)
I, personally don’t each much in the way of starches, except rice. My husband is a bread fanatic! I can take it or leave it. I eat bready things occasionally but I could really take it or leave it. When I was in France for my honeymoon, I did eat lots of bread there though because it was AMAZING
I love your video! I see all the comments but not the links for products. What are your spice bottles called and where did you purchase them? I have all mine on 3 tier shelving however still looking to change.
Will be checking out your vids. Just found you. -> I just read you moved....sounds like you need some Canadian maple syrup. Lol. I'm inspired to get my pantry done today. Ty.
I know this was soooo long ago but is there anyway you can link that rack that your spices are on? I bought the same containers for mine and can’t find a rack like that anywhere!!
I live in an apartment with two bedrooms and it's not the best apartment to decorate nor to put to much stuff in. I don't have to much cabinet space to store lots of food and snacks. I us to get storage bins to store stuff in.
Thanks! The kettle is from Adagio Tea which is amazing tea website if you haven't heard of it. They offer an insurance plan on it too in case you drop it LOL :) Thanks for watching!

Nuts in freezer. Learned from Rachael Ray "Nuts have oils, and oils spoil". Haven't had a rancid nut since.
Oh my goodness you have the cutest personality! I'm totally sold on your channel, I can't believe you don't have more subscribers!
Thank you so much!!! You're so sweet!

Sure I would love for you to show us how to make marshmallows from scratch.💕
It's nearing the end of 2019 and I use and love those labels 😁 Great video!
Awesome! So funny this video still gets good traction 😝💕
Very nice organization kitchen 😍👍
The containers look really nice. Is it possible to stick any instructions you need on the inside of the lid perhaps?, 🤔 just a thought, nice use of space. Very clean and fresh. 👌
That's an idea I had not thought of!
I suggest labeling with a label maker with white font on clear so you don't have to flip it over the containers
You are so cute! I love your attitude. Will you be my best friend? LOL!! I'm thinking about getting a turn table for all my fancy oils now. Thanks for the tips!! (I want some of your home made marshmallows!!!)
Thank you!!! Ever since I've incorporated the turntable for oils I'll never look back!!
Loved it, watching from Canada. Thank you for some new items I have learned.
Hello there in Canada!!
Your pantry is excellent and you are so bubbly 😁😁😁😁
Thank you!
Also, the older I get the harder it is to lift heavy glass containers filled with heavy product out from above me, so plastic has its benefits in that way. The older you get, the weaker you may become or the more chances you have to suffer damaged rotator cuffs or bad shoulders, etc..
I keep the walnuts in the freezer because I use them for baking, so they don''t get used as often (unless I'm having a baking marathon weekend). :-) I keep the sunflower seeds and cashews in the pantry because I snack on those at night.
That's a great idea, they tend to be the first ones to go rancid. You guys have me with my mind blown over here! Thanks for watching!
Absolutely in the fridge as well as that coconut you had on the shelf. Very prone to bugs.
I love the video. You gave me some good ideas hahaha omg you make me laugh your funny
New sub here thanks for sharing I am actually redoing my pantry now thanks for bless
Your glass kettle is very cute like ur kitchen
Thank you so much!
Chemical formula on your canisters ... 😁 Great organizational skills ,love the pop-up canisters need to get some of those 👍
Nerd Power!!!!! Pop Canisters are pretty ace, I LOVE to use them for client projects when they let me, LOL!
LOVED it! New subbie! Totally bitting the chemical composition labeling!
YAS!!! Steal it! It's totally my favorite thing! Thanks for subscribing! Happy to have you here!
The GTA joke at the end killed me, haha. Beautiful organization too, love the oxo containers especially.
LOL!! I'm so glad someone got it! I TOTALLY cracked myself up and I cracked the container too 😝 #fail Thanks for watching!
Watched this video for the second time really enjoyed it. so funny about the maple syrup it is extortionately expensive in the UK xxx
Really? I wonder why?! I feel like honey is insanely expensive over here. Luckily, we know someone with bees so we get a deal! 😋
Very orgized. Well done. Love how you did every thing.
Thank you! Thank you so much for watching! :)
I do the same. Only difference, I don´t use plastic bins, just glass bins.
thank u for the post, saw a jar of my favorite hot sause
Spicy!
Love your videos.
You have "Sardinhas" from Portugal sardinhas in tomate are really very tasty ..very goood 😉
They are YUMMY!!!!!!
Maple syrup, corse grain mustard, Dijon, lemon juice... pour over salmon- bake- amazing
Yummmmmmmmm 😋
You should try to create a coffee/tea and hot cocoa bar
I can relate to the tea situation. I just dedicated a whole drawer to just teas and ginseng.
Very cool video, thank you!!!
I just subscribed. I really like this video and hope for more of the same. I really like the white cabinets. And the chalkboard markers and labels are great. I use white and gold to write directly on my black Ikea Kallax doors I use for a pantry. It wipes off so easily!
I don't know why I'm JUST seeing this comment! Thank you!
I’m a new sub. I love your personality and how you taped instructions to the containers in an incognito way lol really helpful video :)

I would switch the coffee with the liquor. So the coffee would be just a bit closer. Love it though.

I, personally don’t each much in the way of starches, except rice. My husband is a bread fanatic! I can take it or leave it. I eat bready things occasionally but I could really take it or leave it. When I was in France for my honeymoon, I did eat lots of bread there though because it was AMAZING
Seeds and nuts in fridge after bag has been opened.

I love your video! I see all the comments but not the links for products. What are your spice bottles called and where did you purchase them? I have all mine on 3 tier shelving however still looking to change.

I live in an apartment with two bedrooms and it's not the best apartment to decorate nor to put to much stuff in. I don't have to much cabinet space to store lots of food and snacks. I us to get storage bins to store stuff in.
