    I had a dentist say I needed a root canal 20 years ago, and I told him I wanted to think about it. I went to another dentist a week later, and said he could do the crown without a root canal and it worked fine. That was 20 years ago, and I still have the same old crown with no problems. I think it is a financial thing myself

      It would be different if the one or more of the tooth's canals had infection. It would need to be cleaned out and then rebuilt.

    just extract any dead teeth.. you dont keep any limb on the body that dies.. it will pull the rest of the body with it.. root canals are no different.. just pull the tooth out and let it heal.. if you care about your health more than your looks

    • @escapelina
      @escapelina Месяц назад +2

      Teeth are much more than "looks". They have a super important function. Many people with root canals are doing ok. You can't just extract teeth. And the aesthetics is a big issue, even if you are not unnecessarily vain. You can't walk around with teeth missing in your mouth without consequences for your self confidence and how you are being perceived

    I am a patient of Dr. Horiyat and her team and all I can say is I have hope for a future that will not include pain and suffering from my mouth due to her biologic approach to dentistry. She is repairing years of damage by traditional dentists that has affected my health in ways I am just now understanding from how everything in our body is connected and can effect our health and exacerbate existing chronic health issues. Go and visit and bring your questions and Dr Horiyat is happy to provide answers and direction.

    Dr. Horiyat, I'm being told I'll need surgery to remove an infection from a root canal. They want to drill a hole in the side of my gum, take out the infection, and put a cement block at the bottom of the root to keep infection from entering again. The infection is at the bottom of the root. He said going in through the top and cleaning it out may cause more damage to the root. I've had pain with this root canal since having it in 2014 and they just started to tell me there is infection through 3D scans. He also believes there may be gauze or cotton under the crown left behind that is rotting and causing more issues, but he doesn't know. He wants to drill a hole in the top and check it out instead of removing the crown and ruining it. All this seems excessive. I've started looking for holistic dentists for a second opinion (hard to find in VA). My question: You speak of Root Canal vs Extraction, however, do you have the same philosophy for Root Canals gone bad? I understand you would need to see my situation to recommend a way forward for me. I do not live in CA and would like to ask what you would do in my shoes. I like your overall holistic approach and am interested in your opinion of the way forward. One more item: I am also interested in removing my amalgam fillings one day. What is your opinion on removing? I will visit your website as well. Thank you for your video. It was very thorough.

I definitely think it would be worth it tho! I would not mess around with anymore “trying to save the tooth”. It’s already dead, just get it removed. And yes, absolutely have your amalgam fillings removed ASAP! Hope this helps and maybe you’ve already found someone and had it done by this point. ❤️

      A necrotic hand or foot would be removed for good reason by other medical branches.
      Same as with root canal treatment is with periimplantitis.
      Remove implant and you have removed periimplantis.
      There are implants showing not this issue - but those are not „healing by ankylosis“- euphemistically called „osseo-integration“.
      They are osseofixated immediately loaded and bone grows without augmentation.
