Alegre's solo is amazing!! watch Joe's face (great shot here) at around 1.43, as Correa reaches a peak he just barely cracks a smile - he's loving it! beautiful show of mutual admiration between two masters.

Totally awesome version - I never heard The Syndicate play Fast City - Joe must have brought it back in the set after the Brown Street big band gigs. Thanx a million for sharing.
Joe almost always played fast city in his set. ;) You can find live versions from 98, 99, 2000, 2001, and so on. One of his favorite tune to play. ;)

Just occurred to me that you only truly understand this cyber-Ellingtonian uber-jazz when you MOVE to it. This should not be watched while seated! (Yeah I had a near-death experience too! but then I almost died when i first heard Paco Sery...)
