The Distortion World and Ultra Space are two different things though. The Distortion World is an alternate world where time, space, and physics don't apply naturally. Ultra Space is another plane of existence where their own set of rules apply normally (in that dimension's case) from what I understand. I think the thing people are looking for is a revamped version of The Distortion World where expectations in nature are toyed with on an extreme level, rather than partaking in an exploration in some alien dimension. The one thing I loved about the Distortion World was, well, the distortion, trying to make sense out of something when your spacial recognition is being thrown all over the place.
This...I remember Distortion World was absolutely mindblowing. Such a gamechanger in Pokemon games or games on the DS in general. On top of that, Giratina my favorite legendary Pokemon. I wish I could replay this game through and through with no previous memory of it. That's how good Platinum was.

I love how they're no wild Pokèmon or any other beings naturally in the Distortion World. it just adds to the notion that this is Giratina's home, a sacred realm not to be touched.
Realms just created for the Creation Trio, so fascinating.
Makes me wonder what palkia and dialgas worlds look like if each Pokémon has their own home dimension

Man, I forgot how trippy and atmospheric this place was. Platinum was probably the only Pokémon I played the most. Just makes me wish I had my 3DS again and hope that the Sinnoh remakes would be a thing again.

Took me 45minutes to finish the whole thing including catching giratina and defeating cyrus. And i remember how scared and intense this part was for me, so nervous, got lots of goosebumps when i actually experience being in that world...breaking the laws of physics and being in this strange world.But after i finished it i felt so relieved...the nostalgia. And sometimes i still play in that world at sendoff spring for fun. This brings back so much memories, and i loved it when the lake trio are actually helping you out and guiding you what to do.
Joanne Cheah Same here, everytime though when I have played through all of the game and there's literally nothing to do anymore I come back to this world to make my final save.
The music, the lack of physics and the everlasting orbiting clouds are beautiful

This is a hope of mine, but very unlikely. Rather than remakes, I would like to see Sinnoh sequels that take us deeper into the distortion world to stop Cyrus from fulfilling his last words to us.
Edit: Also work in the sinjoh ruins and/or hall of origin somehow, but those would probably be DLC
Seeing the Distortion World in full 3D is half the reason I want Gen 4 remakes.

It's a town in kanto known for the pokemon tower and the myths about lavender town. One of these well known myths in the white hand. Another myth would be Buried Alive.

Game Freak really outdid themselves with the Distortion World. The only disappointment for me was how you can only revisit a very tiny part of it in the post-game - although I suppose there would be the risk of getting lost, without Cynthia and the Lake Guardians to guide you! I really hope the inevitable Diamond and Pearl Switch remakes feature a post-game plot, similar to the Delta Episode, where you travel to the Distortion World to catch Giratina.

+Dtermined 1M I was stick in here for a full week, as a middle schooler.....I had no acces to internet and tutorials/walkthrough lol, i was just wandering aimlessly and randomly, i had no idea you were supposed to go up the waterfall. Started crying tears of joy once i finally came out "Oh my god...it's..it's the sunlight! Yes, finally!".....The music and place gave me PTSD lol!

You have to have it. You cannot reach the Spear Pillar without one, and HM's cannot be forgotten without a tutor.

Try watching this with "The place (cave of the past)" playing in the background makes the whole place seem even more eerie.
There are three different dialogues by Cyrus, when you're done dealing with Giratina.
When you defeat it:
"That Pokémon... That shadowy Pokémon was defeated?!"
When you run away from battle:
"That shadowy Pokémon... You quelled it's rage by refusing to battle it?!"
When you manage to catch it:
"That Pokémon... That shadowy Pokémon was captured?!"
And they say Lavender Town is nightmare fuel, this creeped me out as a kid

But here, the person said 'level' instead of area. Something anybody shouldn't mind being named different and it can be similar. Anyone remember the R4 cards from the DS era? Well, I got a DS and a R4 Card from my parents when I was a little kid and it was already preloaded with a bunch of games, including a Japanese version of Pokémon Platinum.
9 year old me trying to figure out the Distortion World in Japanese cause Cynthia did fuck all to help you. And yeah, the Lake Guardians were trying to point me in the right direction but I just wasn't grasping what they were trying to tell me. Lord knows how I made it from the beginning all the way to the Distortion World in the first place with how stupid I was XD

Ever, I want to make a Pokémon game for the Nintendo DS. One wich uses the same system as DPPt, HgSs, BW & BW2. I suppose the movement permissions, camera angles, and the Distortion World up-side-down walking effect are located in an Arm .BIN file. I am going to rip these files, for my Pokémon game engine.

How do I get back to the distortion world I lost the fight with Cyrus and saved after I got defeated now I can't get back and I can't go to the next city to go to the turn back cave what do I do?
Go through mount courmet however you spell it and go to where you saw and battled team galatic there should be an entrance to the distortion world all the best

Somehow, this place feels a bit like an Earthbound/Mother 2 reference to the cave of the past and Giygas.
The music, the ambience and the fight against Cyrus feels a bit similar to the fight against Porky.

Guy I need help, I mistakenly drop the rock in space in the Boulder puzzle and I can't get out. I tried to save it so the boulder can appear again but It won't save since there's another file of a different player and I tried deleting it but it still won't save even though I already deleted the file.
