Giratina has a capture rate of 3. You'll probably have a lot of trouble trying to catch him. I managed to freeze Giratina with Ice Beam, and when I threw 1 Dusk Ball, I caught it.

The Distortion World was the coolest section of any Pokemon game. All the music that's part of the world is incredible, too.

Did you low hp + freezed it + used a dusk ball? This is why you didn’t catch him easily, but I guess in 2009 people didn’t know that
I never got why Giratina is Level 47.
It's the king of the Distortion World, the last boss of this chapter of the game. The training wheels gotta come off, and it has to be rounded up to a nice even 50
I don't know if someone answered your question already, but you change its form with the Griseous orb, found in the distortion world in the turnback cave portal.

How can the Pokéball float on the mid-air? Distortion world has no ground on the giratina side.

It took me 8 ultra balls, I was freaking out since I did not stock up a lot of ultra balls, i only have 18 at that time....................
It's a shame this epic climax and Giratina's role wasn't present in BDSP.

I used Torterra, Luxray, Staraptor and Heatran to weaken Lv.70 Another-Form Giratina.
Threw many many kinds of balls, and FINALLY, as a miracle .....
I caught it in the 15th hit ... by POKEBALL !!!!
