If the government led by CM Rio wants to go ahead with this project, it's fine but if it's being done against the people's will, God will not be kind to all those involved and their families. By saying this, i mean to say there will be a big social unrest. Our towns are underdeveloped and roads are so bad but the government wants to build a mega city for the elites.

Nagaland needs a planned city no doubt. However, whatever and wherever the source of funds be, the funds should be utilised transparently, efficiently and judiciously. We Nagas cannot remain contented with status quo just because of existing corruption. We cannot be averse to developments and new projects. The proposed Nagaki City is a wonderful project and should be a welcomed project if transparency is maintained. That said, Chiethu Airport project is rediculous given its topography and projected cost. It should be given up forthwith and be shifted to a more suitable and feasible site.

Cheithu airport has been reported unsuitable for proposed airport by central government agencies multiple times but stil Nagaland govt led by CM Rio is investing huge money wasting state financial resources. If we visit proposed Cheithu airport we can see beautiful plateau(table land) in it's opposite location which is at Lazami Village jurisdiction. It could be better if that place could be suitable then better approach concerned village and build good airport successfully instead of investing more on which it is impossible. This airport Project at the interest of CM to build around his native village is siphoning off all financial resources yeilding no good result.

When you go there to the areas where Nagaki city is projected, you'll notice the big widening roads connectivity where land owners had given their lands with free of cost( zero compensation) . The land owners generously donated their lands with free of cost but the contractor is benefiting from it. Well regarding this Mega project, there is always compensations for the land owners. Gov't is not taking freely.
Let the rich and powerful land owners in that area give their land and profit from it instead of taking the land of the villagers and small land holders. So far the plan has conveniently avoided the land of the rich and powerful in the incubation area. No land should be taken against the wishes of the owners.
When it comes to development... it's a good news that development is planned but what about the other part of the states. It is completely ignored for quite a few decades. When development is purpose... it's always in the 2 or 3 district namely Kohima, Chumu, Dim etc. The other parts of the state are completely getting ignored. No plan for development in the other districts. No plan for developing the district headquarters. Apart from it... the roads, infrastructure, communication etc in the other districts are merely enough for sustaining the populace. It's a welcoming news to develop a maga city but at the same time the other part of the district shouldn't be completely ignore. If one leg is developed the other leg shouldn't be ignore. If the trend of focusing in one area continues to exist, the day wouldn't be far that we would see more holes/breakout within the same state like ours. Sad to see that the present leaders acknowledge only his particular area or community for development. This has been continuing for quite a long time and it will continue for quite a long time. It's high time that this type of behavior should be stop. We're nagas first and it should be. So if development is planned...it should be for every nagas.

When you go there to the areas where Nagaki city is projected, you'll notice the big widening roads connectivity where land owners had given their lands with free of cost( zero compensation) . The land owners generously donated their lands with free of cost but the contractor is benefiting from it. Well regarding this Mega project, there is always compensations for the land owners. Gov't is not taking freely.
Let the rich and powerful land owners in that area give their land and profit from it instead of taking the land of the villagers and small land holders. So far the plan has conveniently avoided the land of the rich and powerful in the incubation area.
No land should be taken against the wishes of the owners.

When it comes to development... it's a good news that development is planned but what about the other part of the states. It is completely ignored for quite a few decades. When development is purpose... it's always in the 2 or 3 district namely Kohima, Chumu, Dim etc. The other parts of the state are completely getting ignored. No plan for development in the other districts. No plan for developing the district headquarters. Apart from it... the roads, infrastructure, communication etc in the other districts are merely enough for sustaining the populace.
It's a welcoming news to develop a maga city but at the same time the other part of the district shouldn't be completely ignore. If one leg is developed the other leg shouldn't be ignore.
If the trend of focusing in one area continues to exist, the day wouldn't be far that we would see more holes/breakout within the same state like ours. Sad to see that the present leaders acknowledge only his particular area or community for development. This has been continuing for quite a long time and it will continue for quite a long time. It's high time that this type of behavior should be stop. We're nagas first and it should be. So if development is planned...it should be for every nagas.

If the govt wants to build a mega city why only in kohima dimapur with so much compeciation come n built in mon dist ,zunheboto dist wokha, teunsang kipheri here no body ask for compensation if the cost is true. But we know the fact.

Naga ki city... project is wise and broad views for the future of Nagaland. It must be financial City project like GIFT CITY project in Gujarat near Ahmadabad. All sensible citizens of Nagaland should go through GIFT CITY project in Gujarat and if satisfied then everyone should support it. GIFT CITY main principle is that Indian laws is not applicable. It will have it's own laws and administration.
I think Tsumanyu to Nuiland raod is there shortest way to get into kohima so i think development should be brought over their which the road has already exists and only need the maintenance it👍
