Just rear 1/2 pig in your backyard and provide them with any free feed available in your area like bamboo shoots, colacasia, jungle banana plantains, yams, garden weeds. If they grow very slow also, not a problem because no spending in feed cost. If every house holds in our rural areas do this, no pig traders/companies from outside can compete with price
Piggery has been traditional practice of NE people so it come naturally to the people. Moreover pork consumption is highest in indian states. So huge employment avenue is there. Vocal for local.
