Hey Fonzie, Nolan here, the guy that no idea how to dip his Z. First off I want to say that I have nothing but respect for you and DipYourCar, and you raise many good points in this video. I did not expect to get such a big response from the Dipping community with this episode of Hi Low but in retrospect I guess we should have anticipated that. You are 100% right, I did not put in enough research on how to do the job properly. We filmed all of Hi Low in two weeks, which did not allow enough time for research or practice. I truly wanted our Plastidip job to be great. We did it on a Friday and I was looking forward to it all week. We spent around 7 hours cleaning and masking the car, and I was very proud of that. The production schedule didn’t allow for letting the car dry and painting on another day. I’m a competitive person, I really wanted my car to look better than James’ wrapped car. I was super disappointed in myself that I wasn’t able to make that happen, and I knew it’s because I didn’t know what the heck I was doing, and that’s more a reflection on me than it is on Plastidip. In the end Hi Low is about showing the viewer both how to do things and how NOT to do things, and I think this episode really illustrates that. I didn’t know the process, used the wrong equipment, and it came out terrible, and its important that our viewers know to not to do what I did! But I’ve seen a lot of great looking plastidip jobs, which is specifically why we included one in the video, and I still want to try it again. Despite my own failure, I do think it is a great product. I would love for you to teach me how to Plastidip correctly, maybe we could collaborate and respray my Z?
I’m a fan of both of you guys. Need a collab and show how easy it is when done even somewhat right!! Im no pro and even i can dip my Benz in my moms backyard! ruclips.net/video/zKg5U3LojqU/видео.html
I don't get the hate towards you really tbh you tried something out failed and even stated that it was your fault and not the product's... Did you delete the video though?
I agree, that was a very classy way to handle this. Not sure how many hours of DYC I've watched, but I know deep down that it still isn't enough. There is no substitute for practice, and a good paint job is partially art and partially skill. The guys at DYC make it look so easy, and if you buy the equipment they use, you can probably pull off a decent result the first time. But to compare with any professional treatment should really be left to compare wrap vs. spray by two professional shops.
Even as a complete beginner I never had an issue with plasti dip because I followed the proper instructions. I tell this to everyone who says plasti dip is a bad product. Your dip turned out bad because you didn't follow simple instructions.
Same dude, ever since I started using plasti dip I’ve never made mistake except for a couple of runs every now and then, but that’s how you learn. Such a basic product to use.
Same, started small with a test piece before I did the full car. Even the spraying motion in this clip was bad, just like you can get a bad rattle can job you can also get a really nice rattle can job.
So, rewatching this video and the other one now, I realize he left out one of the most important parts in the donut video. They specifically say in their video that they learned after the fact that they used the wrong gun, and the dip was almost 10 years old and from a friends garage. They give full credit to plastidip and say it's their fault.
Precisely!! That's why when I saw this video I was like, "Why do they think Donut was giving their product a bad name?" If anything I don't trust a manufacturer who doesn't know some of the biggest proponents of its industry. Like, have they ever searched anything car related on youtube? Donut WILL pop up in the results.
If you look at the videos this ones 6 months ago and the other video is a month ago because they edited it I was confused at first to lol but gotta say respect for both channels as in this day in age it’s rare to see people act like adults
They even showed what a proper, well done plasti dip looks like at the end. They knew they did a crap job on their 350Z. The Honda Civic they showed at the end looked really nice.
(asked before but...) Maybe invite a total noob once and give him the dyc set. I'm curious what a nood (like me) will do with it. Thinking about making my car gunmetal grey! (ibiza cupra 2010)
I self thinned two gallons the first time I dipped my car. It was a pain to peel. It peeled, but was thin and tore. Better than I expected but not great. The dip was on my car three years. I cheaped out on the product I dipped with, I will not be making that mistake again. Just my .02
As someone who is seriously considering dipping my car, I really like your response videos explaining "he did this wrong, he did that wrong" because it helps me understand myself what not to do! Of course I've watched a bunch of your tutorial videos, too! But it's hard to get a handle on how I might do it wrong without seeing it in action. I also hope ya'll do that colab, because seeing you teach newbies is helpful, too.
Lol no he seems like a crybaby bitch. Companies dont fucking make response videos to stuff that they think hurts their image. Lmao imo it doesnt even hurt plastic dips image like he thinks and he's overreacting and being a bitch. Even professional done plastic dips dont look as good as a professional wrap that's why people still wrap their cars and that's why plastic dip is just for the people who cant afford that. If it takes that much effort for a good plastic dip just fucking vinyl wrap the car at that point. The best plastic dip jobs are still easy to tell that its plastidip and not vinyl. I still think anyone who has to dip their whole car is fpfq if they do it just to change the color or protect the base paint since vinyl does the same thing and looks better.
@@Draxan198023 the bitch is calling a random person a bitch. Sounds like a bitch. This guy doesnt know what he is doing and acting like a bitch. Hilow literally said they didnt do it right and were being cheap about it. Thats the point of it. Lile this dude is stupid. Wasting time teaching and all that was not the point. The point was todo quick and cheap.
I honestly think Fonzie is simply tired of this...I think this may be his 3rd or 4th reaction video to a youtuber improperly dipping a car. The difference with the Donut vid is they never blame the product itself...but DAMN they should have watched some videos! Maybe Nolan would do some preacher curls and have a steadier hand next time...
I mean why wouldn't he? The guys in the video are a part of the most educational car youtube channel, and they were transparent with their experience level throughout the dipping. Really there's no need for this video at all because Donut already had a disclaimer of not following their method and showing a well dipped car.
I love how this video proves that two companies can peacefully dispute and beauty can come out of it. I really hope to see a collab some time in the future as I love both channels. Big Ups to DYC & Donut. Love you guys
anthony cirricione true but people who are looking for Plasti dip results don’t listen to the person saying they don’t know what they’re doing they only focus on the results.
they uploaded the new version of the Low car dip with a perfect time of quarantine this guy (DYC) must be raking a ton of order in his company "it's a free real state" from someone with no intention in ruining someone's business
@@johnvencentsulit and i bet fonzie would never make a "why plasti dip has a good reputation" video now that its updated..just goes to show how human nature is
I followed all instructions on my first time and dipped my whole truck. Turned out great. Used a dyc sprayer and did it in my dirty workshop. Took the truck through the woods all the time. The dip held up very well. Thanks Fonz
It was Donut’s ReDIPtion video that got me to check out DYC and buy some product. I’ve been binge watching your videos over the last few days and I’m pretty sure I’ll be dipping my Chrysler 300 in Shadow Black. You did a great job being respectful while addressing the issue at hand. If you didn’t I wouldn’t be so eager to do business with you. You rock!!
This is why I love your channel and company, Fonzie. This isn’t a sharp rebuttal, but felt like a simple conversation, to educate. Good man, good boss. I plan to get my hands on your products soon. Until then, I’ll keep enjoying your awesome content.
Absolutely the classiest response to video I have ever seen! Perfectly done! I am obsessed with this channel and it just got even more so. To be that restrained, generous and downright honest....BRAVO!!
I'm not surprised he isn't keeping tabs on other car YT channels. He runs a business on the day-to-day. YT is just a way for him to promote on the cheap. It's not his means to an end, unlike some other car YT channels(Not implying that this is a bad thing).
Fonzie I watch your videos just to hear you speak. Clear instructions and calm, with reason. Having emotion without being emotional, emotionless yet having emotion. I don't know if anyone else understands what I am trying to say.
Another dumbass. Hilow has 2 parts per episode. 1 a cheap guy who wants something quick and cheap no pros no big spending which they shared what the results are when you are cheap and stupid but they showed the results of the plasti dip when done right. This guy is a bitch and getting butt hurt about something donut media never said. Donut media said clearly its amazing when done right. Apparently to all you dumbasses and fonzie followes did not pay attention.
@@wonderbreadjumps tried watching this guy, he basically acted like a bitch to try to get more people to watch and subscribe while it may work i can less than 2 rats for him. He did it for the 15min of fame not because donut did something wrong. It literally did nothing wrong.
Just wanted to say as a fan of Donut Media that I think the comparisons they showed on a correctly dipped car made me discover you guys. Here's a sub and I will definitely be looking into dipping on my next car. Keep up the amazing work!!!
Very butthurt idea of the show is the cheapest option versus a wrap which is the cheapest and most expensive so what’s wrong fonzi that not tickle your sack?
Glad to see you pinned their response. Nothing malicious in their video. They even went on to show their errors and shortcomings in the video and provided an example of how it can come out when you know what your doing. Much ado about nothing if you ask me. I understand you want to protect your business but your message could’ve been better. Kudos Nolan for the professional response and even talking collaboration.
I love plasti dip because you can change colors on rims or the body of a car. I just wish I could do it the right way even if that video donut media made it won’t sway me from trying out a wheel kit I’ve been wanting to for my mustang. Great response video calm and collected like it should be your the man fonzie
David Build Vlogzz the wheel kits are definitely worth it! As long as you follow the instructions it should come out great! 1 year on my car and still firmly on there!
Fonzie- incredible response and respect. I used your product for my road rashes wheels and that turned out great. My 12 year old nephew helped and thinks his uncle’s car is “sick” now. Your professionalism and knowledge has really set you apart. Keep up the good work and don’t get discouraged by folks who don’t follow directions, regardless of motives.
so as a previous coworker of Zach (from Hi-car on donut) i know these guys are all about enthusiasm for cars and love the community. theyre also making videos with the goal of getting views. i have also used dipyourcar's plastidip and your spray gun on my old 08 wrx way back in 2012. I had a really good experience with it, but i did a bunch of research beforehand and overkilled it on prep work. It turned out amazing because i followed all your advice and instructions.
Fonzie, your professionalism and way of handing a "speed bump" or misrepresentation of your business is so honourable! Nothing but respect from me. As a business owner myself I know how hard it is to push emotions & pride to the side and keep business, business. Well done.
Fonzie... The way you represent yourself, from "guns" and clean cut to confidence and straight to the point speech, the way you represent, advertise and educate about your product, the way you handle different situations, from crazy mixed dips to misleading information... You rock! You inspire. Solid. I bet lotsa guys admire and looking up to you! I'm one of them. Keep it up! Cheers!
Well Fonzi I follow both pages and they stated clearly that they did not know it was going to be that hard to install and that professional installation was awesome. They even showed some awesome plasti dip application on a Blue Civic. My car is dipped with your product and had my own challenges with the product for lack of knowledge. I think that dipping your car is amazing and even better than wrapping. All the best Fonz
Because the point of the series is to have someone take the cheap version/usually DIY, and the other dude gets the blessing of getting all the nice professional stuff.
Jerry Shwe if they made that video the other way around, and by that I mean having Plasti Dipped profesionally done VS DIY vinyl wrap (with no experience) plasti dip would have looked better.
Or both! I'd like to see that. An inexperienced DIY comparison of vinyl and dip on two cars and then show what professional results look like at the end.
I’ve been watching you and Donut for years, and I know how much you have been advising on how to use your product and know that I would never attempt it myself. Keep up the great videos.
I agree I absolutely share the same feelings. When I first saw this video my first though was “oh no so many people are going to get the wrong impression from this”. But I continued to hope that most people would know the product a little better, at least just enough to realize that something wasn’t right here because Plastidip is a fantastic product, when applied correctly it can sure give some truly amazing one of a kind results. Ive used it many times now and it is by far my absolute favorite way to change the color of a vehicle. But in the end it looks like they got in touch with you apologized and worked something out for the future so that is super cool I’m glad to see that!
Fonzie, great response. Would like to see you and the Donut dudes collaborate and produce a product that is on a level playing field then try this again. Good on Nolan also to reach out and be accountable. Shows class from both of you.
Fonzie, IMO one of the reasons your product has made leaps and bounds the way it has is due to YOU. I’ve never watched one of your videos and not been impressed by your demeanor. Great job and Kudos to you and an Awesome product for sure.
I'm glad Fonzie made this video. I am a soon to be first-time dipper and I personally have gotten so many attacks on my plans because of the Hi Low episode. So many people, including my roommate who wrapped his car, compared amateurs work to professionals. I've watched dozen of DYC videos and know that they made plenty of mistakes and that it could've went so much better had they had done the research and use the correct tools. I'm so glad Hi Low did a part 2 so they can represent how not difficult and how rewarding dipping your car can be
@DipYourCar you handled that so professionally and with such amazing class!!! Much respect to you!!! I am looking forward to your products with the Memorail build im working on for my brother who was killed in Military Combat. I spoke with Brad today. I cant say enough good about him. Super cool guy, very patient and knowledgeable! I am ordering some samples this evening for different tans. I'm trying to getbthat same tan that you did with that Dodge truck. Not sure if you have thar color anymore but I believe back then, you called in "Camo Desert Tan"
Your professionalism is incredible man, I love everything that you do with this company, and I hope that donut learns what plasti dip can really do for themselves! Overlapping wet coats...
You bleedering idiot donut just did it for the first time stop being a perfectionist you're not perfect either and donut also show clips how good plasti dip can be do your fuckin research
@@ptoughneighcoopernicus5042 Where was he being a perfectionist? Also you tell this guy to do his research, funny, donut could have done the same, starting with not using a decade old dip. Calm your trigger finger already.
I have to say you’ve given so much information on this product and you stress to your viewers very key information on applying it properly! I’ve always had good results! I even rewatch many videos so I don’t waste the product or to make bone headed mistakes. Your so meticulous in explaining the process! Thanks you for a all the great info you’ve put out over the years. It has been very fun for me !😘
The sad part is I am subscribed to both donut media and dip your car. They usually have pretty decent stuff. But I have watched entirely too many dipyourcar videos. I know that the end product doesn't turn out the way they did.
Fonzie, you're a pro. I like your style in regards to how you address misrepresentations of your product and brand. Keep up the great work and content!
I used to be one of those people thinking dip was not the way to go (being biased from working in a body shop and having a few failed attempts at my own projects). There’s a stigma that spreads quickly with any product that has a learning curve or any slight deviation to the “tradition way”. But a great experience can change the opinion of anyone. Once you get your car to turn out beautifully, hold up through countless touchless car washes and get tons of compliments it’s really hard to discredit a product that is clearly an amazing (in my opinion superior) alternative to wrap. Keep up the good work Fonzie, a collab with you two would be just what the doctor ordered, because knowing is half the battle!
I love these call out videos! Fonzie is always very respectful and kind and that is what sets Dip Your Car apart. Fonzie, I appreciate how humble and down to earth you are, I have been a customer for 5 years now, and dipped 4 cars and countless parts. Love the stuff, keep up the good work!
Hey fonzie, I have first used your product in 2017 and I think it is the greatest and most cost effective solution for anyone who wants to change color of his/her own vehicle, in a non permanent way. I follow your channel and Donut media’s channel, truly enjoy both of them. Your commentary was classy and truthful. Nolan is a great guy as well and I’m glad, he chimes in and set the record straight. Would love to see you both work together on a plastiDip project.
Hey Fonzi, I've never used your product but I've been researching it and seen, heard great things about the product... Seeing this video did not deter me from using it. As we speak I'm saving my money for it. I have a 1998 Mitsubishi Mirage 2dr coupe in great condition, it's been in my family for over twenty years and I'm gonna trust your product with it. Can't wait to buy that frozen blue kit for my Mirage and Shadow black hyperdip for my wheels. There're always gonna be haters in the field so don't feed into it, your product will speak for itself! The best to you and your company... Hopefully you will be hearing from me soon with my order! Can't wait!!!🚙🏁
First of all, thanks for doing this Fonzie. I watched the Donut Media video independent of this, and the first thing I thought was, "Why are you thinning out the PDS?!" I knew from that point on that the result was going to be terrible, and not because of the DYC product. I dipped my own car 3 years ago, for the first time. And while the results were not top-notch (through no fault of DYC), they were passable enough that people are still commenting on the color and I am not ashamed of the result. Would I do it again? ABSOLUTELY! Without question. And I know that it'll be better the second time around. Keep up the good work.
Not going to lie I watched this and gave up on the idea of dipping my car. After randomly seeing your channel, Im learning a lot. I didn’t watch till the end of his video, I also don’t read comments often. Thank you for clearing this up for me ! I’m happy to see he responded to your video and I hope to see an awesome calibration!!!!!
This is the first time I see a confrontation between to fairly big channels and it is commented, responded and resolved professionally and without unnessessary drama or a whole series of videos based only on that. Thank you for teaching the meaning of "respectful" (I say this for both parts)
Why do they have to make a follow up video if they already showed a "fair representation of dip" by the end of their video. Next time, try to watch till the end of the video. You low attention span kiss-ass.
In this comment section, DipYourCar, and Nolan from Donut Media got in touch and are setting up a collaboration. Very professional, andnsomething cool will come out of it.
This is what makes you "THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS" !!! You are a great guy with tons of talent and you are ALWAYS willing to help and give GREAT advice. You give diy guys good well explained info to do the job right. Thank you again for another great awesome video... 👍
they showed what a proper Dip looks like at the end of their video. He explains that it does look good and its a good option when its done right, i don't see the problem with their video lol making a bigger deal out of it than it is
Their’s was the first plasti-dip video I had ever seen and was feeling really doubtful about it - especially in regards to doing it myself. Then they showed the well done version at the end and I felt a little more encouraged. The best part about watching their video on YT is that your video was suggested right below and restored all my hope in doing it myself. Now I’m so ready to dip my entire car (starting with the rims and grill) and I hope you both get together to make that tutorial video soon!
These clowns would probably screw the DIY wrap up anyways. I wrapped my car by myself last year and it took me 2 weeks, they're not gonna be able to do a DIY wrap under the time constraint they have for their series
They did show a car done properly. If you watch their video they never said the product was no good. They actually said it was on them that it came out bad. Watch the video

they include this video in their video, so I search it, and surprisingly you are a very respectful man who is willing to protect your job in any possible way in a very respectful way, you totally deserve full respect.
I dipped my car. First time using the product. Turned out great! Everyone thought I wrapped it. Did months of research, followed your demos and it turned out how it should. You’re the best Fonzie.
Ive used plasti dip on 3 cars now, I never had an issue. Read the directions and it comes out flawless. I recommend it to my friends aswell. Love it and keep those videos coming.
I watch Donut Media they do some wild stuff like buying automotive products and testing em. I did watch that video and I immediately thought of you fighting naysayers for a decade. This was by far the classiest, most gentlemanliness addressing of grievances I’ve ever witnessed. Supercar Blondie will tell everyone the amazing and beautiful results of a proper plastidipped car. If it’s good enough for multimillion dollar supercars than I’m sure it good for that 300z
They say in the video it’s not the products fault, and it was expired and left in a garage for years. I love donut and your channel. Donut’s video is the reason I even considered dipping my wheels.
Good job representing your company and setting the record straight without degrading anybody. Thumbs Up. Oh! I have dipped my rims several times and always get plenty of compliments, I have about 3 years on the current color and still looks good but it's time for a change since I have had a couple of tire changes, the wear is starting to show.
Fonzi you’re a class act and I just read Nolan’s comment and he seems like a class act too. I love the way you handled this but can also appreciate the fact that they continued on even though it was bad. We all make mistakes and have to learn. I think you both handled it with class. Excited to hopefully see a video coming soon of a tutorial with Nolan.
I'm subbed to both Channels; I don't think Donut Media was attacking/misrepresenting your company, products, or process. They were simply creating entertaining content, at the expense of their own inexperience. If you want entertainment you go to Donut Media; If you want to be educated in Plastidip you watch DYC. I understand you are passionate about your company and its image, but overall it was just a bunch of guys screwing up the process of plastidipping a car. I am glad that they did show a properly dipped car. A collaboration would be an epic video to watch.
As I believe you 2 are on opposite sides of the country it might be tough to set up a collaboration, but I think it'd be totally worthwhile.DYC & Donut are 2 of my favorite channels, I'd love to see Fonzie spray a cool hypershift on one of their cars. Love that it's been such a respectful conversation, excellent on both ends.
Fonzie, I wouldn't worry about videos like this, there will be more similar videos coming as the pastidip is the best thing has been invented to replace the wrap. You and many others have showed how easy it is to get it done and you can clearly see they done in wrong in the video. That was the whole idea to make plastidip look bad. Keep it up mate and don't worry about little people like that. Thanks for all your effort to teach people how to do it themselves.
Trust me, I do love donut, but it's disappointing that this happened. Hopefully they can learn from this and can redeem themselves, as well as plasti-dip in general, cause it's a killer product!
Damn, Fonzie....I realize this video is old....several years old in fact but I wanted you to know it still has reach today and I must commend you for the incredibly professional & notably quite classy way in which you handled your published response to the brothers over at Donut. What's funny for me, despite having myself only just very recently discovered your channel AND this “dip" process, is that I immediately recognized some of the pitfalls that Nolan was all but certain to encounter and I admittedly felt sick to my stomach upon watching their ORIGINAL DIY DIP VS PRO VINYL WRAP head-to-head video a mere 3 hours ago while checking out other vids they did during the course of their dueling Nissan 380Z builds. Again, having already learned from your channel what works and what DOESN'T work, along with a good deal of trial and error learning and WISDOM you gained in the process, I want to stress that you are a great ambassador for your brand and the very process you mastered & now successfully market. Your advice and willingness to share your knowledge to ensure the success of other DIYers who want to use the dip process to great effect, is refreshing and inspiring. You aren't trying to direct everyone to your physical location to drive business by teasing them with the finished results before telling them that they must call & book an in-person appointment to have your company solely performing all lthe work. That is stellar imho because it shows that greed isn't a motivating factor that drives your business model. After watching their incredibly cringe-worthy video earlier today along with their follow-up RE-DIPTION vid, all I knew was that you reached out to them privately to offer your expertise and the lend assistance to their effort at trying it again.....the correct way. It was a much better result that Nolan seemed truly happy with after all was said & done. Thanks to the YT algorithm .....this video showed up in my feed as a recommendation so naturally I watched. You nailed it with your response and I believe you sincerely did a tremendously good thing--even if it wasn't purely for altruistic reasons--by getting them what was needed to effectively complete their mission and to help redeem the DIP YOUR CAR coating method by .....ahem.... 'painting' it, in a far more positive & fair manner. Wishing you all the best. Cheers P.S. I hope to be calling you soon to put together a sick kit to dip my 2016 Mustang GT Premium, which is still in its factory 'Magnetic Metal' paint job; especially after watching your blue to black hypershift pearlescent clear video. I am really interested in seeing what can be done with that same intensely blue cobalt color pigment and hypershift to a muted dark coppery rust pigmentation that doesn't tend to shift too far (or at all) towards violet / purple or shiny brass / yellowy gold tones. I'm on stock 20" rims .....wouldn't mind them being satin black as well .

So, rewatching this video and the other one now, I realize he left out one of the most important parts in the donut video. They specifically say in their video that they learned after the fact that they used the wrong gun, and the dip was almost 10 years old and from a friends garage. They give full credit to plastidip and say it's their fault.
Right? They mentioned they have no clue how and have the wrong tools
The RUclips upload was re-edited.
@@jjon95 TBH... a little weird this dude wasn't familiar with Donut.. like common Donut is one of the biggest car channels
They even showed what a proper, well done plasti dip looks like at the end. They knew they did a crap job on their 350Z. The Honda Civic they showed at the end looked really nice.
How do you think a car with 5 coats of self thinned dip will peel? 😳
I cringe at the thought hahaha
Glad u made a response video Fonzi 👍👍
That thought brings me joy.👹 damn clowns
Props to Fonzie for being calm, rational, and professional with his reaction to the video.
Actually you should thank him for not making a dis
I mean, for anyone who actually watched the video he clearly says over and over that he doesn't know how to do it.
anthony cirricione true but people who are looking for Plasti dip results don’t listen to the person saying they don’t know what they’re doing they only focus on the results.
and then went on to say it was their own fault for it looking bad and that it is a good idea...so i dont see the reason for all the donut hate
@Toxic Potato i doubt it affected sales
they uploaded the new version of the Low car dip with a perfect time of quarantine

@@johnvencentsulit and i bet fonzie would never make a "why plasti dip has a good reputation" video now that its updated..just goes to show how human nature is
Wow, two videos in a day? You're spoiling us Fonzie!!
I followed all instructions on my first time and dipped my whole truck. Turned out great. Used a dyc sprayer and did it in my dirty workshop. Took the truck through the woods all the time. The dip held up very well. Thanks Fonz
Donuts video would never make me think any different of plasti dip. Love watching both channels 😊👌🏾💪😍👊🏿
Never heard of them? 0-0
I'm surprised anyone who makes car related content on YT doesn't know Donut
I'm not surprised he isn't keeping tabs on other car YT channels. He runs a business on the day-to-day. YT is just a way for him to promote on the cheap. It's not his means to an end, unlike some other car YT channels(Not implying that this is a bad thing).
Fonzie is the og ... real ones know
real though, that really got me, but thats how you know youtube is so big that having 3million subs is basically a footnote now lol
Fonzie I watch your videos just to hear you speak. Clear instructions and calm, with reason. Having emotion without being emotional, emotionless yet having emotion. I don't know if anyone else understands what I am trying to say.
Fonzie, you are the man. What a fantastic video. Great job on your response.
This is the calmest, chill, product owner I have ever seen critique someone that is destroying his product. Much respect!
Fonzie you should bring them in and dip their car. Show them how the pros do it.
@@1314CK1 clearly you didn't read Donut's reply... Nolan suggested a collaboration to get it done right...

My thoughts exactly. Donut media is huge. You should dip the hell out of that z and show them the difference.
Just wanted to say as a fan of Donut Media that I think the comparisons they showed on a correctly dipped car made me discover you guys. Here's a sub and I will definitely be looking into dipping on my next car. Keep up the amazing work!!!
Fonzie is seriously the real mvp. There’s nothing else to say 🤷♂️
Dusty Jones facts. These fried donuts are half-baked duches.
Dusty Jones he’s very thorough
M. H That’s great to hear that I definitely will be trying one they are affordable and a good way to change it up. Thanks for your input 🙏
Well done.
I was waiting for your response. Thanks for not disappointing, Fonzie. :)
Keep it up!
Cheers!
Seeing a collaboration with the two channels would be incredible. The one you did with That Dude in Blue was great!
Anything done poorly, will look bad. Why not do a diy vinyl wrap on the other 350, see how that turns out.
Because the point of the series is to have someone take the cheap version/usually DIY, and the other dude gets the blessing of getting all the nice professional stuff.
A DIY vinyl wrap would still look better.
Mark Roche exactly what I thought!
Fonzie you are the best. Nothing but respect for you. Handled everything super professionally. Great video
Donut took full responsability for their screw up. Riding the tail coats of a more successful channel to gain noteriety is not a good look.
I'm so glad Hi Low did a part 2 so they can represent how not difficult and how rewarding dipping your car can be
Why I will always be an advocate for DYC. Heart and soul that makes this company is what every company should strive for. Class act #dipon
@DipYourCar you handled that so professionally and with such amazing class!!! Much respect to you!!! I am looking forward to your products with the Memorail build im working on for my brother who was killed in Military Combat. I spoke with Brad today. I cant say enough good about him.
Fonzie you were a gentleman. I'm glad he did look at one done right. Awesome video brother. Thank you.😎
I used to be one of those people thinking dip was not the way to go (being biased from working in a body shop and having a few failed attempts at my own projects).
The amount of class you have in amazing. This is why you have grown a base of loyal dippers.
Sounds like it would make good PR to help them do it right
Hey fonzie, I have first used your product in 2017 and I think it is the greatest and most cost effective solution for anyone who wants to change color of his/her own vehicle, in a non permanent way. I follow your channel and Donut media’s channel, truly enjoy both of them. Your commentary was classy and truthful. Nolan is a great guy as well and I’m glad, he chimes in and set the record straight.
Would love to see you both work together on a plastiDip project.
Wait... how is this video 4 months old, and the Hi-Low video is only a week or so old?
What the hell? lol
it was on facebook for a while before coming to youtube
Can someone link the video? Cant find it anywhere they get it taken down or something
They are on the donut Facebook page
I'm laughing at how they held the spray gun.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 me too
Sad thing is as much as they had it thinned it still ran with them holding it that far out
BKRedline that’s why it ran because of how much they had it thinned
First of all, thanks for doing this Fonzie. I watched the Donut Media video independent of this, and the first thing I thought was, "Why are you thinning out the PDS?!" I knew from that point on that the result was going to be terrible, and not because of the DYC product.
I dipped my own car 3 years ago, for the first time. And while the results were not top-notch (through no fault of DYC), they were passable enough that people are still commenting on the color and I am not ashamed of the result. Would I do it again? ABSOLUTELY! Without question. And I know that it'll be better the second time around.
Keep up the good work.
Listening to Fonzi on the importance of the gunz used 💪💪
gun could have blown them up

This is the first time I see a confrontation between to fairly big channels and it is commented, responded and resolved professionally and without unnessessary drama or a whole series of videos based only on that. Thank you for teaching the meaning of "respectful" (I say this for both parts)
Donut media should make a follow up video and give a fair representation of dip. Do the right thing donut media!!!
They did show a car that had been done properly in their vid
Bruh y’all acting like someone died like stfu
They did at the end of the video!

Well in Donut Media's defense.... they did show what a proper, professional plasti dip looks like with that blue Civic. 🤷🏽♂️
they showed what a proper Dip looks like at the end of their video.
They should have compared a professional wrap vs a DIY wrap.

Where do you work? Can I make a video telling everyone how shitty you are and your company is? I bet sales will sky rocket..
Maybe you can do a collab video. Bring em in the shop with the Z and show em how its properly done.
They say in the video it’s not the products fault, and it was expired and left in a garage for years. I love donut and your channel. Donut’s video is the reason I even considered dipping my wheels.
He literally mentions a million times he doesn’t know what he’s doing idk why you even made this video
MICROSOFT HQ in the original video he said he doesn’t know what he’s doing and it could turn out really well if he did

Oh! I have dipped my rims several times and always get plenty of compliments, I have about 3 years on the current color and still looks good but it's time for a change since I have had a couple of tire changes, the wear is starting to show.
Even the first time I used plasti dip I didn’t have a problem just follow the directions
I think that this video is unnecessary as donut media explained what went wrong and showed how well the product looks when done correctly, get over it
I'm subbed to both Channels;
I don't think Donut Media was attacking/misrepresenting your company, products, or process.

I think a blind man and a foam brush would have had better results...
Cheers
They are in California. So they will need spray 50 gallons.
