Hi Lel congrats on buying your smallholding it certainly has potential and scope for improvement, also if you are thinking of getting a quad id suggest something like a gator instead, as it has the bed on the back so you can transport whatever you need to around the farm/land, like fencing equipment or feed for the sheep, I've only ever worked with dairy/beef cattle and pigs anD I saw someone has suggested Tamworth as a breed worth trying in the forest area, and they are a good breed for that, but I'd suggest checking out the Rare Breeds Survival Trust website, and Tamworth is on their webpage along with the other 10 rare breeds of pigs, also they have written info on all of the breeds of pigs, cattle, and sheep that are rare breeds here in the UK, anyway good luck with the new adventure and looking forward to what videos you upload.
@@MarkLloyd72 hello, thank you for all the advice, I’ll certain check out the rare breed survival trust ☺️ I’m really excited to see what we can do with this place ☺️
LLongyfarchiadau Lel, The small holding looks to have a lot of potential and it's in North Wales so it couldn't be in a better place... your ideas sound great but a little at a time, good luck to you both and i look forward to seeing more videos on your journey.
If youre thinking of having pigs, tamworths are a good choice for beginners because theyre slightly smaller and low maintenance. Farm looks class best of luck
@@northlongfordbeeffarmer6468 thank you for the advice. I’ve never had pigs before so if we get them I’ll be doing some research, thanks for giving me a place to start ☺️🐷
