General Description
BANES is set in the American 1800s Wild West, in this world a sudden surge of energy has brought monsters to our reality, this causing the world to plunge into chaos. To fight these creatures, unique warriors have been trained from a young age to be killing machines and a direct weakness to the monsters that terrorize the world. These warriors are called “Banes”. eventually, they are strong enough to receive a procedure that imbues them with the same energy that is inside the monsters they fight by putting monster parts inside these orphan children. This gives the warriors inhuman speed, strength, and reflexes, heightening all of their senses. The procedure also gives them the ability to imbue their weapons with the essence held inside of them, making their weapons extremely powerful. But it comes at a cost, horribly disfiguring them, terrible magical scars covering their bodies, their eyes changing color, and in rare cases physical mutations. These terrible soldiers are made for one thing and one thing and one thing only… killing monsters. Their skills allow them to be legendary soldiers as well. But people are nearly as terrified of these mutants as they are of the monsters they fight. The monster slayers work as bounty hunters, taking contracts. The surge of energy happened 30 years ago so these monster slayers are fairly new. New versions of the Banes are being made all the time. Each Bain is a new version of the serum. In this short, 2 Banes, one new and one old get sent to kill a monster they know nothing about and end up getting caught up with more than they can handle. Will they overcome their weaknesses to find their strengths and defeat the beast? Let’s find out!
