I am very grateful there is still a 32-bit variant of Windows 10 with 16-bit DOS support. Sadly most video drivers since Vista and none since Windows 8 support old games though.
@MSNeptuned this video was recorded like 2 days ago really, and it exists 'cus I couldn't find any other video on this (except one long boring 30-minute video with notepad) anyways thanks :D
So with this it's actually possible to upgrade from Windows 1.01/2 or later to Windows 11 (many intermediate steps required of course) if you do it on real hardware that supports all the necessary instructions sets and get your TPM in order (CPU bypass might still be necessary). In a VM it's no hassle at all obviously.
the fastest method is actually with this method is 1.0 to 3.0(indirectly or directly), to 95 then Me, then XP(pro needs nt version, 2000 but you can change edition when doing 10 to 11), then to 7, then to 10 RTM, then 11 and change edition to pro with valid product key from official places ofc.
I followed the steps as shown in the video yet it is failing at the end of step 1. How far along the update history of 7 were you? Just SP1 or was it fully updated to it's end of life?
banger and should have installed notepad++ and 7-zip. i also do this method for copying! select all and deselect sources to make it faster! great vid pal nonetheless. can i upgrade from windows 8.1 x86 to windows 10 RTM x64 like this or different?
@mrfoxesite4482 I did not think about installing more programs than Supermium as the point was just to prove that under this method nothing gets deleted, including programs About upgrading 8.1 x86 to 10 RTM x64, it probably won't work, idk, sorry
@@mrfoxesite69482 can't really guarantee it will work though; you could either get the outcome I got trying to straight up upgrade 8 7963 to 8.1 (as mentioned in the video), or you could get a successful upgrade
@@Lynxmic i actually upgraded 2 times from 8.1 x32 to 10 RTM x64. heres the thing. just use a base windows 8.0 iso file x32. then install.wim of 10 rtm x64. then use that program and it will work. its pretty bad. i lost all customization- colours, wallpaper, desktop(small icons, icon position, name of recycle bin, options) and office 2013 which worked in 8.1(i got this version from onedrive; 9yr old me(no joke) kept it in g drive but 11yr old me moved.), and it stopped working. running will result in windows installer trying to configure and will fail. its RTM version but it was zip file and that file did have dates from 2019 but signature shows 2012 dates so yeah it was re-packaged from img, maybe? 7-zip wasnt a option in context menu unless i reinstalled 7-zip x64 and yes reinstalling 7-zip x86 didnt get it back. i changed a 7-zip setting and even after installing x64 version, it was kept so no loss really. the installer from the zip for office 2013 crashes after run. cant uninstall also. dont try man its risky. i think registry entries were removed a bit causing office not to work but the installer not working? idk and the thing was a little slow but it was a vhdx in hdd...
I didn't even think that was possible, great video

you can upgrade to windows 10
You did a good job
Great video!
6:18 It's a bug with vmware tools you should uninstall them before upgrading that fixes the shutdown/restart issue
WINDOWS 7 SEE THROUGH❤ windows 7 R.I.P for windows 7😢
using this, is it possible to go from XP x86 to win8 x64?

OK this may actually come in handy
Is it possible to downgrade from x86 vista to x64 windows xp? I dont care about data loss since i just want xp on it
as long as the computer supports x64 you should be fine, but you might need to make a custom iso with drivers if the hard drive is sata instead of ide
Who would run 64 bit xp, just use the 32 bit for more support
@@namesurname4666 agreed just use x86 windows xp
@@namesurname4666💀🙏😭
@@AaravTheN00B16 it supports both x86 and x64 so yeah but the hard drive is sata. Btw I'm using a Optiplex 320 from 2008/2007
does this work with server 2008 to 2008 r2
would 1.04 to 7 to x64 work -time to upgrade the vm again glad i did backups- (i wanted to do 11 but lazy)
Why did you upgrade to a beta than 8 or 7 x64 directly
idk but maybe to make it work? he could have tried before and failed?
What about switching from 64-bit to 32-bit?
who wants to do that? just reinstall. programs are incompatible too. i dont think it has a chance of working
