Been looking around and have noticed while you made a video on the stryker shorad but no video on the stryker itself so if it is not already could you add it to your list and if it is how far out is it
I’ve always thought this is one of the most beautiful fighters, it looks like it’s going supersonic even when it’s sitting on the ground. The F-20 Tigershark that was an evolution of the F-5 is one of those great “what if?” questions.
The YF-17 and later F/A-18 are the evolution of the F-5 in the other direction. In fact they addressed the biggest problem with the F-5 that kinda doomed the F-20. The F-5 and F-20's low wing setup, that limited the size and amount of weapons the F-5 and F-20 could carry. But both the YF-17 and F/A-18 have a high wing, like all modern 4th gen (except for delta wing Eurofighter and J-10) and later fighters do for the above mentioned higher wing load.
Thanks for this video. In 2010, I served in the 3rd Main Jet Base in Konya, the nest of the Turkish F-5s. I almost daily saw the training flights of the F-5/2000s and Turkish Stars for 5 months. Good memories. 333. Kısa Dönem Hava Piyade Çavuş

If the world most successful Interceptor goes to the MIG-21 or F-4 Phantom, then the most successful within visual range fighter has to go to the Northrop F-5. The F-5 often overshadowed by other aircrafts due to technology limitations at the time which resulted in lack of powerful engines, cruising range, powerful radar, max top speed and BVR missiles. But it was extremely maneuverable, cheap and reliable, those are important attributes if your nation's Air Force need to cater both force multipliers and superior numbers at the same time.

It just can't support modern electronics and there is not enough space for good radar set. In modern air combat it's all about seeing the opponent first with radar and then yeeting long range missile his way from tens of miles away. Once you run out of missiles you just run away into friendly cover instead of risking the plane at close combat.
It’s so good as an aggressor craft that the US Navy tried to buy Mexicos F5 fleet(10 Airframes) for its stressor squadrons. Mexico said no cuz the F5 is the only supersonic interceptor we have.

@@IsaacKuo You're kind of right. It's the geopolitical reasons. The story is kind of interesting. At that time, Malaysia needs either F-5E replacement or F-5E upgrades. Unfortunately, the Malaysian MIG-29 was long retired without replacement so Malaysia decided to import the South Korean T/A-50, but still not the ideal MIG-29 replacement.
