Doesn’t sound like VH to my ears but I have two of these amps and I do believe they are one of the very best values out there. Stock, these sound like late 70’s rock machines and I’m still surprised they aren’t more popular. The HDRX 20 is essentially a Super Bass circuit and EVH used a Super Lead circuit in the Roth days. I’d say this amp has a sound without any pedals very similar to Alex Lifeson’s sound from What You’re Doing. It’s a great amp.

I have owned a '67 JTM Super Lead ever since late 1989. Best amp ever. I haven't had a try at the HDRX 20 yet, only the 100 Watt version and that sounded fantastic and very much like the earliest Super Leads like my own. Not the scratchy sounding later ones. This is probably the best plexi reissue out there and I'm really tempted to get one of these after hearing this demo.
Oh wow! I would LOVE to try the 100 - kinda scared to as well because I know how loud they get! Thats so cool that you have a 67! That is a very very special amp! I know in 68-early 70s the circuit changed ever so slightly and all changes have an effect on the tone. Its great to hear that this amp sounds like the early one, and you're right, the high end is very very smooth. Have an awesome day!
I absolutely love this amp head however I play smaller venues and the only way I’ve found to get good tone is to almost max the volume which is too loud for the venues I play at but the sound of this amp is unique and absolutely amazing… when cranked .
Really good point! You do need an attenuator to play this amp live. That master needs to be cookin’ to get that high gain goodness! And when it is up there, it is glorious. Have an amazing day!
I saw a video quite a while ago with Paul in the shop doing a demo with that amp. He cranked it up and walked into the next room and it sound incredible. You're correct though that all other videos just demonstrate low and mid level gain settings. I can't find that video with Paul anymore. Super good tune you've created Jay, the EVH influence shines through.
Oh thats interesting! I would have loved to see that. I struggled to find videos where the amp was wound up loud. I couldn't understand why but there ya go. I'm so glad I got one, it is such a great sounding amp! I'm glad you enjoyed the track too - I appreciate your comments and am grateful! Have an awesome day!
What is happening Jay my brother? Amazing guitar wizardry as always. Love the sound of that amp. PRS is based out of my home state of Maryland. Also, I saw Jimi and Eddie in Maryland. I was extremely fortunate to see them both in my lifetime. Hope things are great on your end. Things are going good hear. Take care my man and as always keep on rocking. Peace, Leif
Sounds awesome - Jimi' supposedly would back his volume knob on his guitar down pretty low for his clean sounds then raise as needed for more sonic punch the super lead 100 must have been a beast to tame & control!
Really great and pure way to control the amp right? 😊 Can you imagine being there in front of Jimi though when he was doing that. That thought sends shivers down my spine! Must have been such an experience (unintentional pun 🙏). Have an awesome day!

Thanks man! I so appreciate it and great to see you here again as always 😊 Thank you for following for so long. It is truly appreciated 🙏 Have an awesome day!
Ya I’ve been using a peavey classic 50 head since 92 but ya I got This hdrx head this year and cranked with my ox box as the volume control I love it .. also my various boost and klon style pedals it’s magic
No one noticed because of the horrible one-dimensional marketing PRS did on this amp. Don’t know if it’s EVH necessarily, but the same circuits were used by virtually every one back in the 70’s, early 80’s in one form or another. I’d like to hear a really good in-depth demo of this amp now. I know initially I wasn’t interested simply because it was marketed (again by PRS themselves) as solely a Hendrix amp. But, that sounded killer to me. And, with something like a Hot Mod EVO, or Mr. Scary Mod who knows how good this could sound in that “Super-crunch” (which is what those 80’s tones are at this point) mode. Looking forward to getting one in front of my at this point. I have a Little Sister that does 99% of what I need it to do, but that 1%….that epic Soldano rhythm-playing, super-crunch (that virtually no one doing demo’s dials up anymore), is sorely missed. Great video, Jay…I had NO idea this amp could sound like that.
Hey Phil, thanks so much for the thoughtful and insightful comment. First I’m really glad that the video has ignited your curiosity about this amp! It is definitely worth exploring… well, in my humble opinion anyway 😊🙏🏽 Great point about the circuit. It did indeed stem from the same place - Bassman I believe - and then spider webbed to so many other amps that followed. Ah you’re a Soldano lover as well! Me too! I built a custom SLO30 last year, it sounds epic! There is a video somewhere on my channel. Anyways, I’m so glad you enjoyed this one! Have an amazing day!
Thanks so much man! I appreciate it! I so so so love the MT15 amp! It’s one of my faves! Did you see the video I did with that amp too? Enjoy and have an amazing day!
Hey Mike, how ya doing man? it’s been a long time! Hope you’re well and rocking bro! I’m glad you enjoyed this one! I appreciate you checking it out 😊🙏🏽 Have an amazing day!
great tones man. I must say that as both a drummer and a guitarist the drums in the opening track were truly cursed. not sure how you achieved that lol
Hey! Leave my crappy drum programming skills alone!!!! 😂 😂 😂 I blame Superior Dummer - thats my excuse! So cool that you are a drummer. Maybe we should work together. The amp is great isn't it? I love that tone! Anyways, have an awesome day and back to my questionable drum programming 😉
Ed's sound was never just a plexi, components were changed, there were a combination of different types of speakers and the Variac which changed the voltage. Let's also remember that every Marshall especially back then sounded different because components would change based on what they had on hand which would change. PRS and EVH as well as Hendrix shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence.
You're absolutely right about Ed's sound being more complex than just a Plexi! There were indeed many factors at play - modified components, speaker combinations, and the famous Variac setup. Not to mention the production and mixing process, and of course, Ed's incredible hands and technique. Good point about the Marshalls of that era, too. The variations in components definitely contributed to each amp having its own character. Ed even ran his power tubes over biased - running them hot and replacing them so frequently was part of his unique approach. It's these details that made his tone so special and hard to replicate. I appreciate your perspective on EVH, Hendrix, and PRS. While I respectfully disagree about not mentioning them together, I understand they each had very different impacts. In my view, they're all innovators who significantly influenced guitar music and technology in their own unique ways. EVH revolutionized playing technique and tone, Hendrix redefined what a guitar could do, and Paul Reed Smith innovated guitar design and manufacturing. Thanks for bringing up these points - it's great to dive into the details and have these discussions about guitar history and technology! Have an awesome day!
KILLER riffage! And sounds like a killer amp. I'm not a PRS guy. But this was impressive. Rock on. Still getting to know your channel. And looking forward to seeing and hearing more.
Glad you dig it man!Its a great little amp! I'm stoked that I bought it 😊 Enjoy the other videos! There are lots of them - plus playlists. Anyways, I know this will be a deal breaker for some people and I totally understand and respect that. Have an awesome day!
Jay, love the video, great as always. Im not too much a fan on the tone on this amp. I was wondering if you can do a topic of video strictly on the differences and tone with 6L6s tubes and EL 34s.. I know you’ve touched this on other videos but not set a whole segment on this topic. and running affects loops and the pros and cons of that. I have a PV 6505, w6L6s tubes in it and I don’t particularly care for them. I see what you mean, and I can get a slight difference out of the M with different tubes I live in an apartment and it’s the only amp that I could use it low volumes and still get that tone of hot tubes at low volume but it just doesn’t have that’s something that’s been there when I used to crank up Marshalls back in the day when I was able to. I just like the tone better. I was wondering if you could do a full video on this topic and the benefits of using affects loops, etc. I know this amp doesn’t have an effects loop and I’m wondering why. Thanks for your videos brother. PD
Hey bro, that’s a great Q about the power tubes. Truth be told, power tubes make a small difference in the overall tone and that’s mainly down to how they are built, the plate length, etc. Main difference I find between the EL34 and 6L6 tubes is that the 6L6 sound a little tighter and has a different mid-range. I like the sound of both depending on the amp. And in a mix they make a bit of a difference but it’s. to night and day, more like different flavours. I don’t have an amp in which I can easily switch between the tubes but I would encourage you to check out the other videos on RUclips that have done the comparison as you may find them helpful Hope that helps a little. Have an awesome day!
Hi Jay, Enjoyed the vid very much, so now to the geeky stuff,,,lol what were your boost signals? Was everything pretty much straight amp ,,,no pedals or effex?,, It’s freakin brilliant, i gots me an Engl preamp I would love to Introduce that sweet pee up with! Cheers! Sounding great Mate!
Thanks man! I appreciate it! Rhythm sounds were straight into the head, lead sounds were boosted with the JP-OD1 pedal that I showed on the video. I think both controls were at 1 o'clock. Have an awesome day!
Hey, I mean, since you got that HDRX you obviously don’t want that MT-15 anymore. I happen to have an empty amp spot in my rig setup. I don’t think that’s a coincidence. 😁🤣
Haha! You will have to pry the MT15 out of my cold dead hands... I love it THAT much!!! 😂 I wonder what both of these amps on the same track would sound like 🤔 The old brain is tick, tick, ticking... Thanks dude! Have an awesome day!
Thanks for your great question! You raise a valid point about EVH amps. While the 5150 line certainly produces excellent tones, they're quite different from the vintage Marshall sounds heard on early Van Halen albums. Those classic tones are what many guitarists are chasing when they talk about the 'Van Halen sound'. The 5150s, though fantastic in their own right, don't quite capture that specific 'plexi' style tone as accurately as some other amps. For those seeking that early Van Halen sound, exploring Marshall-style amps might be a better route. That said, the EVH amps are definitely worth considering for modern high-gain tones! Have an awesome day!
Oh yeah I actually have a replica of that.... thats like a oxymoron right, replica of a replica! Lol! I will give that a try. I did think of it and then didn't try it out. I know EVH used the Schaffer at some point as well. Have an awesome day!
Understandable 😊 Thats the one thing that I knew would be divisive about the amp. I'm cool with it but I know many will need a loop 😊 Have an awesome day!
@@jayguitar yeah Jay that amp is amazing its got the eddie vibe all over it but also important its in your hands you got your own twist on it take care brother
You know, until you mentioned the amp I had no idea that PRS had built that amp. I looked it up - the Hendrix/Allman amp. I am wondering myself now. Have an awesome day!
The lack of the FX loop is the only reason I didn't buy this amp. I don't believe they change the tone at all, and I think it was a real missed opportunity for PRS to have a real winner here. They can say they wanted to stay true to the original amp, but they already added a master volume, bright switch, bright cap switch. There should be no amp without an fx loop
I totally get your point about the FX loop. Having built several amps myself, and installed FX loops after the builds, even though they were supposed to be 'Zero Loss - Unaltered Tone' Loops, guess what?.... The tone actuallly did change a little bit 😊 🙏 Every component you add to a circuit, especially one as simple as a Plexi, has some effect on the overall tone. Anyways, I know this will be a deal breaker for some people and I totally understand and respect that. Have an awesome day!
@@jayguitar Btw, how loud is the 20watts? Is the clean-ish loud enough to be used as a pedal platform? I think it should be possible to have an fx loop without affecting the tone when the fx loop is not in use. When you're using the fx loop a small change would be acceptable, since you'd be changing it anyway. I'm sure it's design dependent. Adding an fx loop to an amp that is not designed for it, it's definitely going to affect it. What I'm saying is if they were to design it from the get go to have an fx loop, it'd probably be ok. Now, I'd be curious to know how much of the distortion of this amp comes from the power amp section vs the preamp. There is definitely a threshold that past it, there'd be no point to have the fx loop in the first place, which might be the case for this one.
@@dscataglini it is still loud when it’s on the clean setting. You can always keep the treble and bass volume down but then dime the master. Is it loud enough for a pedal platform, that I don’t know because I haven’t used an amp that way for years, so it’s just my lack of firsthand experience in that area. It is really loud though, that I can tell you. I hear you about the fx loop. This isn’t a gigging amp for me - my MT15 would be my choice for live - so it isn’t an issue. But if I did gig it I would use it with my Boss Tube Amp Expander anyhow which has built in effects (which I do use live) and a loop so it would take care of that aspect of my sound.
Thanks so much for checking out the video and I’m glad you enjoyed the tone of the amp. It is a little firecracker! I appreciate your feedback about the tone. I was going for the EVH vibe and I think I got there. Granted, it’s not 100% brown sound, but it’s has that Eddie flavour for sure. And after some experimenting, I can assure you that it does the Brown Sound really really well also! So, stay tuned to the channel as you might just catch the EVH vibe with this amp again. Have an amazing day!
Yes, of course 😊 There are a lot of videos out there showing more classic tones that I would encourage you to check out. It is a plexi and does plexi tones right across the spectrum. Have an awesome day!
Hey dude, thanks for checking out the video. I guess we disagree on this one because I think ‘yeah!’ 😂 I respect your viewpoint though - I wasn’t shooting for pure brown sound on this one, just EVH vibes, but stay tuned because trust me it can do ‘Brown Sound’ all day long 😉 more soon! Have an amazing day and rock on 🤟🏽
Yep, you’re right. I didn’t nail brown sound on this one…. but stay tuned, because I did manage to dial in brown sound with this amp 😉 coming very soon. Have an awesome day!
I think it sounds great but I think you should have cut out a good 4 minutes of talk and replaced it with 4 minutes of isolated tones. After all the tones are what it’s all about 🎸
Hey dude, thank you for your feedback. I appreciate your suggestion about including more isolated tones. While I understand the desire for more audio examples, I found there was actually more essential information to cover than I initially anticipated. Many viewers have found this background information helpful in understanding and applying the concepts. That said, I completely understand if you're more interested in the audio demonstrations. To make it easier for viewers like yourself, the video is time-coded. This allows you all to easily skip to the sections with tone examples or any other parts you find most relevant. Feel free to use these timestamps to customise your viewing experience and focus on the aspects that interest you most. On this particular video, I really only had four tones that I had dialled in hence the short iso tracks section. There are so so so many other videos showing the other tones which I would encourage everybody to check out for the variety of tones that this amp can do 😊 Have an awesome day!
I think you need to snip out that "three-legged pony" comments and paste that everywhere. That's hilarious. Anytime something is awkward in a video, three legged pony. Lol
Friedman make great amps. You should try one of these out. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. Plus, keep in mind, this is just my tone 😊 In your hands you will inevitably dial in a tone that works for you. Have an awesome day!
@@nickm.9474 good to hear you dig the sound! I dialled in as much gain as possible but I think you’d be surprised by this amp’s versatility. It will do low gain tones that are just as gorgeous. Worth a spin dude 😊🙏🏽
Back in the Hendtix days.... how many Plexi's were actually recorded... I bet there were some that were much better than the one Hendrix used... marketing will make you believe alot of bull shit...
Oh absolutely! Marshalls were famous for that and it was due to the workshop running out of components and substituting something else (resistors and capacitor value changes obviously change the voicing of an amp) hence the legend goes that some Marshalls from that era sounding stupendous and some sounded kinda.... Mehhhhh 😊 Anyways, good point you made. But this amp sounds amazing, well to me anyway. I'm glad I bought it. Anyways, I know this will be a deal breaker for some people and I totally understand and respect that. Have an awesome day!
Hey dude, I know that will be a deal breaker for some people and I totally understand and respect that. It is still a really amazing amp though. Try one out if you get a chance to plug in, I think you'll be impressed. Have an awesome day!
Wow, I didn't realize I was playing in 17/8 time! Just kidding - thanks for listening so closely. Maybe it's not perfect, but hey, even Eddie had his off days. If it helps, try tapping your foot to the beat of your choice - it might just line up eventually!
Ah thats an interesting video idea 🤔 I can think of several amps in that category 😉 I would probably end up putting a few noses out of joint 😂 Have an awesome day!
Thanks so much for taking the time to check out the video man. I appreciate it. A friendly reminder that I timecode all of my videos so that folks can skip straight to the good stuff if that’s all they wish to see. I’m cool with that. With this amp, there was a lot more info that I first anticipated so it turned into a long one. But that info has helped a lot of folks out which is always a plus. Anyways, enjoy and have a great day.
PRS should stick to guitars. Nobody can deny they make great guitars. Their amps? not so great. PCB trash IMO. If you are okay with SS modelling... many choices today. If you really like tubes and all that, you need a real amp. That means hand-wired amps. This is garbage that will break down on you.
Hey James, I appreciate you sharing your thoughts. While I respect your opinion, I'd like to offer a different perspective based on my experience building and maintaining amps. The idea that all PCB-based amps are inferior isn't quite accurate. Many highly respected amp brands use PCBs, including Soldano (who've always used them), modern Friedmans, Diezel, and Bogner. These amps are known for their excellent sound and reliability. Hand-wired doesn't necessarily mean point-to-point wiring. Many hand-wired amps use PCBs, which are essential for more complex circuits with multiple switching options. From my experience building amps, a well-designed PCB can perform just as well as point-to-point wiring. You're right that some PCB amps have had issues, like certain modern Marshalls. However, this is more about the quality of components and PCB manufacturing rather than PCBs being inherently problematic. High-quality, double-sided, glass-mastered PCBs can be incredibly durable and reliable. While point-to-point wiring does have advantages for maintenance, a good quality PCB amp can be just as long-lasting. It really comes down to the overall design and component quality. As for the sound of PRS amps, that's subjective. Personally, I find they sound excellent, but I respect that everyone has their own preferences. At the end of the day, what matters most is that you enjoy the tone you're getting, regardless of the internal construction. There's room for all types of amps in the guitar world! Have an awesome day.
I appreciate your perspective Patrick, and you're right that a player's technique and touch are crucial to their sound. The old saying 'tone is in the hands' definitely has merit. However, I'd respectfully disagree that all amps are the same. While great players will sound like themselves through most gear, different amps and speakers do have distinct core tones and voicings. For instance, an EVH 5150III Stealth has a very different character from a vintage Marshall Plexi, even when played by the same person. These differences in equipment can inspire players in different ways, influence their playing style, and open up new sonic possibilities. For many of us, exploring these nuances isn't a waste of time or money - it's part of the joy of playing and creating music. That said, I agree that chasing gear shouldn't overshadow developing one's skills. It's all about finding the right balance that works for each individual player. Have an awesome day!
Lol! My ears are just fine dude 😊🤟🏽 I was just going for EVH vibes on this run with the amp……..but I’m guessing you haven’t seen this video right? ruclips.net/video/Io-uur_xYLc/видео.html - Same amp. I think it does Brown Sound pretty well. Have a great day!
Hey man, Im just here to offer some friendly advise. Far far to much talking. Im not here to listen to you play a who song which has been produced, manipulated and run through a mastering process. I learnt nothing about the amp’s flexibility in tone and sounds. No one cares about in-depth description of your guitars and effects. Be more like Kyle Bull. Less like you.
Hey, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts! I get that the video was more in-depth than you expected. My aim was to provide the kind of comprehensive info I would've wanted when researching this amp, especially details I couldn't find elsewhere. As a professional musician who does a lot of studio work, I wanted to showcase what the gear can really do when pushed in a recording context. It's about demonstrating its full potential, you know? I appreciate the feedback, but I'm comfortable with my approach. After 10 years on RUclips, I've developed a style that works for me and resonates with many viewers. While it might not be everyone's cup of tea, I believe in staying true to myself rather than trying to emulate or be others. I've seen Kyle's work - he's got his own talented approach to RUclips. For me, though, I aim to offer something different that I feel was missing from other reviews of this amp. And isn't that a wonderful thing? That we are all different? It creates variety rather then everybody taking the same approach. The raw isolated tracks are included at the end for those who prefer that. I'm glad so many folks have found the video helpful and enjoyed the playing. Thanks again for watching, and have a great day!
Interesting take! We must be hearing different things. Many folks, myself included, definitely catch that VH vibe. After all, it's a Plexi - practically Van Halen in a box! But tone is subjective, and that's what makes gear chat fun.
Hey dude, thank you for your feedback. I understand that the video might not be for everyone. Just a friendly reminder that the video is time-coded, allowing viewers to easily jump to specific sections they're interested in. It lets you all focus on the parts most relevant to you without watching the entire video. Feel free to use the timestamps to explore the content that appeals to you most. Have an awesome day!

Been subbed for a long time now...
Oh cool man! Glad you've been enjoying yours. It is so reactive to the volume control. I love that aspect of the amp! Have an awesome day!
Sounds really good. To me the Mark Tremonti amp is the best PRS amp. But you played great and it sounds pretty close to EVH tone.
Thanks so much man! I appreciate it! I so so so love the MT15 amp! It’s one of my faves! Did you see the video I did with that amp too? Enjoy and have an amazing day!
*Awesome video Jay Parmar long long time no hear or see. Nice demo too.*
I love to see your infectious passion.
Thanks Gabriel. Very kind of you and I appreciate it 😊🙏🏽 Have an awesome day!
I don’t have an amp in which I can easily switch between the tubes but I would encourage you to check out the other videos on RUclips that have done the comparison as you may find them helpful
Hope that helps a little. Have an awesome day!
The mini Tremonti head by PRS is a monster.
100% agree with you! I LOVE that amp! Did you see my video on that amp too? Enjoy and have an awesome day!
@@jayguitar I will look for it.
Love your channel Jay.
Keep them great videos coming.
Cheers from Ohio.
Well. Thats now on my list. Great video!
Ha! I keep adding gear to your list Gabe! 😊 Hope all is good and glad you dig it man! Have an awesome day!
Hi Jay,
Enjoyed the vid very much, so now to the geeky stuff,,,lol what were your boost signals?
Was everything pretty much straight amp ,,,no pedals or effex?,, It’s freakin brilliant, i gots me an Engl preamp I would love to
Introduce that sweet pee up with! Cheers! Sounding great Mate!
Thanks man! I appreciate it! Rhythm sounds were straight into the head, lead sounds were boosted with the JP-OD1 pedal that I showed on the video. I think both controls were at 1 o'clock. Have an awesome day!
Demo the 5150 Iconic 80W 6L6 Head it’s the bees knees❤❤❤
A+. Love it!
Glad you dig it dude! Thanks and have an awesome day!
@@jayguitar I sense a new video on the horizon, now. 🤔
@@southernpanda33 me too! 😃 Another PRS video... well, thats a no brainer for me! 😂 I shall put it on the list!
What are you boosting with??? Sounds great.
Rhythm is just the amp, lead it is a clone of a Boss OD1 pedal. Hope that helps! Have an awesome day!
Jay, it's amazing...what can I say or comment if you've said everything yourself about this amp!!! tremendous🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Really glad you enjoyed it Jordi! Yep, said it all in the video brother! 😃 Have an awesome day!
Very very good 🤘🤘🤘
@jayguitar has to be one of the nicest guys ever
Very kind of you man 😊 🙏 Thank you and I'm glad you dig being here! Have an awesome day!
Hi ! Did you ever try the Randall Headhunter??????
Hey dude, never played that amp. Have an awesome day!
@@jayguitar it’s worth looking into ! Cheers! From LA
Big PRS fan myself but you should try a Suhr SL68. Pretty sweet.
Oh man! That is an amp that I very very much desire! One day... Have an awesome day!
This is a great amp .i just bought the evh 5150 iiilbx s.wow its a monster.🌹👍👍👍🎸🎸🎸
Oh cooooool! That's another amp on my list! Although a 50 watt Stealth would be even better! I bet you're loving it right? Have an awesome day!
Awesome Great Show!!!!!!!
Thanks! I appreciate it. Have an awesome day!
EVH makes some really nice VH worthy amps as well. Why not go directly to the source if that's the sounds you are looking for?
Should try the Friedman Plex
Thats a great suggestion too. I haven't had the chance to check one of those out. Have an awesome day!
Use the Schaffer Replica with that amp. You will never look back.
Oh yeah I actually have a replica of that.... thats like a oxymoron right, replica of a replica! Lol! I will give that a try. I did think of it and then didn't try it out. I know EVH used the Schaffer at some point as well. Have an awesome day!
The only thing I’m hating about this amp is
No effect loop
Understandable 😊 Thats the one thing that I knew would be divisive about the amp. I'm cool with it but I know many will need a loop 😊 Have an awesome day!
Hey up Jay hope you are well mate. regards from Luigi
Hi Luigi, whats shakin man?! Hope you're well! I'm doing great. Yourself? What did you think of the amp tone? Pretty cool right? Have an awesome day!
@@jayguitar yeah Jay that amp is amazing its got the eddie vibe all over it but also important its in your hands you got your own twist on it take care brother
@@luigipiedigrossi371 thank you bro! That’s very kind of you 😊🙏🏽
Need some more swing in that shuffle...
Or maybe it needs more shuffle in that swing 😉 What do you think of the amp tone? Pretty rocking isn't it? Have an awesome day!
Wonder how it compares to a HXDA?
You know, until you mentioned the amp I had no idea that PRS had built that amp. I looked it up - the Hendrix/Allman amp. I am wondering myself now. Have an awesome day!
What’s it called?Hatch drx???
Yes absolutely! Hayyyyyyyych Deeeeeeeeee Arrrrrrrrr X…. 🤪😂 Have an awesome day!
Going van Helen I reckon a flanger
Interesting guess! 😊 You'll have to wait to find out... But it will be worth the wait. Have an awesome day!
Hey, after you sell that pony, I have some oceanfront property in Oklahoma for sale.
Can i pitch a tent and set up my hdrx there
😂 😂 😂 We should go into business together. I think we might be able to make a few bucks 😂 Have an awesome day!
H in britain "haaatche" lol
Lol! Good spelling of my pronunciation 😜 Have an awesome day!
I have an effects loop and use it on some pedals. Others sound better going through the front of the amp.
@@jayguitar Thanks, that's a great idea :)
Sounds good, but nothing like VH.
Can it do Blackmore?
Yes, of course 😊 There are a lot of videos out there showing more classic tones that I would encourage you to check out. It is a plexi and does plexi tones right across the spectrum. Have an awesome day!
@@jayguitar thanks for your answer 🎶
nice
Love the.Channel my Boy but Nah. Not this time. Oh no ya don’t.
Have an amazing day and rock on 🤟🏽
Ya, I'm not hearing "brown sound"...
There are so so so many other videos showing the other tones which I would encourage everybody to check out for the variety of tones that this amp can do 😊
Have an awesome day!
I think you need to snip out that "three-legged pony" comments and paste that everywhere. That's hilarious. Anytime something is awkward in a video, three legged pony. Lol
😂 😂 😂 I should do a short with that clip! 😂 Have an awesome day!
👍
🤘😎🤘
Friedman owner here. Hey, at least this is probably a lower cost amp, I get that. But am I the only one not impressed by the tone?
Well you have a friedman amp. It is hard to beat that one 😂😂.
Friedman make great amps. You should try one of these out. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. Plus, keep in mind, this is just my tone 😊 In your hands you will inevitably dial in a tone that works for you. Have an awesome day!
Hmmm. I thought it sounded great. I don’t like the high gain amps.
@@nickm.9474 good to hear you dig the sound! I dialled in as much gain as possible but I think you’d be surprised by this amp’s versatility. It will do low gain tones that are just as gorgeous. Worth a spin dude 😊🙏🏽
Sounds great, but I'm looking for a three legged pony
There's no loop so no go!
Hey dude, I know that will be a deal breaker for some people and I totally understand and respect that. It is still a really amazing amp though. Try one out if you get a chance to plug in, I think you'll be impressed. Have an awesome day!
The timing is hard to listen to.
Wow, I didn't realize I was playing in 17/8 time! Just kidding - thanks for listening so closely. Maybe it's not perfect, but hey, even Eddie had his off days. If it helps, try tapping your foot to the beat of your choice - it might just line up eventually!
Here how bout doin a vid on Amps and are they overpriced...
Ah thats an interesting video idea 🤔 I can think of several amps in that category 😉 I would probably end up putting a few noses out of joint 😂 Have an awesome day!
Jay, you talk WAY TOO MUCH! Also, amp sounds nothing like EVH tone! btw, Ken Warmoth, Randy Hansen, and Floyd Rose were in my circle.
Well now ppl know...lol
Yes they do 🤘 🤘 🤘
An amp is an amp. The tone is in your hands. When are people going to learn.🤦♂️ your just wasting your money and time.
Lolol NO. Not even close. Are your ears working?
Do you ever shut up ?
On occasion…. but not when I’m this excited about a piece of gear! Rock on 🤟🏽
No Van Halen in that amp at all.
Interesting take! We must be hearing different things. Many folks, myself included, definitely catch that VH vibe. After all, it's a Plexi - practically Van Halen in a box! But tone is subjective, and that's what makes gear chat fun.
Couldn't finish watching. Too much talk. Sorry.
