I love this set, but I did MOC expand it once I got it built. I was very surprised with how small it was! I have 2 custom garages now and seeing how you and others make theirs is always so cool

This is amazing. Do you have any ideas for alternative front and rear components?

Thanks. I could spend hours having fun with many alternatives. Maybe even build new cars with different color schemes with swappable parts. Possibilities are only limited by the number of LEGO pieces one has. 😊

I've been working on a MOC of a simular scale (just like yours my current implementation is on a 48x48 plate) where I used 60258 (LC tuning workshop as a base and fitting 60389 (Custom car garage) inside. Amusingly we seem to have a simular layout too on our interiors (garage door in middle and 4 bays on each side)
For my MOC, the decision to utilize dark red bricks for the exterior walls is probably not the smartest idea (I've had a good amount of stud pieces break on me) but at least the brittle short stud bricks are mostly placed in their final resting spots.

hey i know im a little late to this but i want to build this and i was wondering what type of bricks did u use and what baseplate did you use? Also do you maybe have a tutorial on the sliding doors too?

Thanks for your interest! I built this garage on a large gray 48x48 base plate. I used standard red bricks for the most part because I had a bunch and I used a bunch. I used 2x2 dark tan tiles for the garage floor because I found those all of the time of the pick-a-brick at the LEGO store. Sure, I can do a tutorial for the sliding doors! It may be a little while though. I’ve got a lot videos planned for the next couple weeks, but I’ll try to fit it in either with another video or as it’s own.

@@thegreenbrick Oh wow man thanks for responding wasn't really expecting a response but just to be sure, What exact type of red bricks? im not familiar with bricks since im sort of new to building things on my own rather than instructions.

@@thegreenbrick Oh and 1 more thing, if you were to guess how many of the red bricks you used how many would you say?

I need a tutorial on how you made those door. Making my own garage and can’t figure out how to get the doors

Cool! Ok, I’ll make a tutorial video. It may be a little while though (weeks). I have a lot of content in my head that I want to get done first. 😊

It is 60383. You can get it for less than $10. I modded mine to have functioning doors and other features. ☺️

You’ll be happy with it! It is priced pretty well, but if you find it discounted then that is even better.

I think I used too many bricks. It probably wouldn’t be cost efficient unless you had the spare bricks on hand. 😅
