It really speaks to his intelligence how he is so well read that he has something interesting to say on any topic, but without the tone of being a miserable know it all. he never professes he is an expert on anything just a guy sharing his opinion. Tom Hanks Is master communicator.
Anu I couldn’t agree with you more. Its called “ knowing your audience “. I’m a scientist and it irks me when people are surprised of intelligence, not talent but intelligence. What disturbs me is that this person seems surprised that TH is naturally acting like a decent human being. What should surprise people in indecency. That’s the point I’m trying to convey.

It’s awesome to hear it confirmed that Tom Hanks is such a big Star Trek fan. I remember back in the day, Tom Hanks was going to play Zefram Cochran in Star Trek: First Contact, the man who invented the Warp Drive which resulted in humanity’s 1st contact with an alien, an event that Star Treks entire history is built upon. From what I heard of the time Hanks was very excited to do it but there ended up being a scheduling conflict and James Cromwell ended up playing the character in the film. James Cronwells great in the movie, it’s actually one of my favorite Star Trek Films. I’d love to see Tom Hanks in a future Star Trek project. They’re not done with that universe ye. He could play a role in one of the new films or one of the television shows.
