Here is a compilation of 1JZ powered Toyota and Lexus Soarers!
The 1JZ, just like the 2JZ, can handle extreme power levels of over 1000bhp! The 1JZ is smaller than the 2JZ by 500cc. The 1JZ, unlike the 2JZ, does not have equal bore and stroke. It is easier to get your hands on a Soarer, they go for around only £2-3k.

I've read from multiple sources, none of which I can remember off hand, that the whole 1jz engine was DESIGNED by Yamaha, but Toyota manufactured the engine, and then 2jz was 'redesigned' / copied and made by Toyota entirely !
