  • A short retrospective on a Unix / Linux finger command and a .plan file. How people used it and why.

    I know the finger command. I learned about it from using a dial-up unix shell account from an ISP. Also used goppher, www, telnet, wais and etc.

    Havent heard about that in a long time. My /etc/skel and my home directory still contains a .nofinger file, even though it's long obsolete nowadays. Probably keep it for nostalgia reasons :)
