The Knicks lost their minds, when they let Patrick go.

Nah, Pat was done as a No.1 option, but he wouldn't settle for the 3rd option, so he left. Plus, he wanted a 3-year deal, and the Knicks said no. He was injured in this series and couldn't play in the finals.

Sad part is the last two years he spent in Orlando and Seattle, could've have been spent in New York chasing a ring. Shame on the Knicks for that trade

So dirty how they did Ewing! The Knicks could've let him retire as a Knick. Seeing him with Seattle and Orlando was just awful.😢

Ewing was amazing. Best mid range big man shooter and he could play the post offense and defense. I'm still trying to find the original Ewing Adidas....my favorite gym shoe of all time.

Ewing is clearly underrated. He was the Man in NY since he joined the league and was consistently one of the best players from the 90s. He kept The Knicks in playoff contention throughout that decade.

One of my favorite players growing up. If it wasn't for that damn Jordan he'd have at least one ring.

Patrick Ewing should be honored with the title: "Mr KNICK" bcuz he gave them everything he had, year, after year after year...................Until he had nothing left to give

It must be hard knowing the only time his team got to the finals, he was injured the entire series.

He wasn't injured in 94 when the Knicks made the Finals. You must be referring to the lockout 99 season?

Stopped paying attention to the Knicks a little time before. The Knicks could NOT keep Pat on the blocks low enough for my tastes --- and I see Joel Embiid and the Sixers braintrust making the very same mistake. When a guy is that dominating closer to the basket, he enables proper spacing by also commanding a double team. Passing out of that or securing more reliable 3 pointers and controlling the clock, itself, are a part of playing the 5, well.

Its called competition and he was trying to block shots it was part of his skill set and role... today people move out the way to avoid being a highlight or meme which is diabolical considering it's a completive sport
