I really love so many of my professors & they make me excited about the program. Of course I also love connecting with my classmates cause we can all relate to each other with what we’re going through.
My least favorite part is feeling like that I don’t know how I’ll be able to have to get my own patients and clean their entire dentition next semester when I don’t even have all of the instruments down & perfected 😰 I know it will take a lot of practice and every program is different, but I’m really hoping I’m prepared by the time that comes around 😓😩
clinic was very intimidating at first. but it gets better with every clinic day, but the stress never goes away and every day brings new surprises hehe
Yes!!! I love the support group of classmates! And - you will be awesome! I NEVER thought I'd be able to complete a full prophy appt in under an hour...but I can now and you will too! Sending you positive vibes!!!
My favorite: Being able to be hands on in clinic and see what you're learning in class. It's exciting to see how much you grow over a semester and the progress you make!!
Least favorite: Having 6-7 classes at a time is extremely overwhelming and stressful. Pray for me taking pharm, cariology and oral path this semester *crying face entered here*

I got my bachelors in biology first (4 year degree) and then attended DH school (2 year degree). So in total I did 6 years of college. My school requires a 4 year bachelors and then a 2 year hygiene program but I’m excited to start! And I’m only 20 since last November haha hopefully I’m not too late and then I plan on going to dental school :) any tips??
You'll be great! I did my 4 year bachelors first and then a 2 year hygiene program, as well. And, I'm so happy I loved it! Sending positive vibes your way! PS NEVER TOO OLD you are YOUNG!!! 20 is so young! :)

@@citrusciderr the classwork is similar to nursing but the clinical work was KILLER bc it was super long days, when pts didnt show up for appointments we were held responsible for that. having so much of my grade depending on other people was super Nerve wracking.
taking the boards was one of the most stressful experiences of my life
