It’s giving Devotion
Guitars on this album didn’t disappoint that’s for sure
One of my favourite tracks on this record. I love everything about it but aargh, how she delivers the line "The cars, the bars, the lies, the girls on Mars, the superstars” kills me every time. In the most beautiful way.
The line draws me in too
I thought the lyrics of this song referred to the decadence they slip into once they've made it big. You know the old pics of the rockers of past partying together and anything goes. It's like Victoria is commenting on this reality and sort of in the way she does pushing it away but still sometimes she finds herself no doubt hanging out and imbibing in a little too much debauchery.
I love how this sounds like a combination of Mazzy Star and the slide guitars of PPP
I'm also getting a bit of ABBA vibes for some reason hehe :)

Yup. The peak is to the lyrics "Breaking Hearts" they would match up with "Hallelujah" I feel it's a little to close to be a coincidence.

Best song of the whole album. I knew they were saving it for chapter 4
