    THANK YOU SO MUCH! I have been trying to figure out how to put a throat latch and buckles on a bridle for forever! this was so helpful! Thank you so much!!!!!

      thanks stephanie. you will also find that the 'sanctified' pattern is much easier to adjust than this pattern too for the throat lash like the chin strap here: ruclips.net/video/OMdcYXtXfOc/видео.html

    I love your videos...easy to understand. I've seen in other videos where they will shrink the paracord first, especially a halter or bridle in the event that it would get wet. Do you shrink your paracord prior to making a halter/bridle? Do you see any need to do this? I made a lead rope from your tutorial and wouldn't see the need in shrinking the paracord for a lead rope. But wanted to see if you had any advice on this subject. By the way, the lead rope came out amazing! My granddaughter is going to LOVE IT!

    how many meters do you need to make each side...I want to make it like this example first

    Hi! Lovely tutorial I was just wondering if you used a certain type of pin buckle or used a specific cobra weave as I struggle to get the pin on my buckles through the cobra weaves any tips? X

      Hi Alanna, watch this little section for some tips. ruclips.net/video/GqB0JnUkS28/видео.htmlm18s Once you have the bridle at the right size on your horse you shouldn't really need to adjust the sides, but for the throat lash which gets undone all the time, you need to make your cobra weave looser than normal to make it easier to put on an off.

    Hello, I have a horse who’s very sensitive in the mouth and I was wondering if this would be softer than a normal leather bridle or if I should just stick to the leather bridle. ThankYou

      Hi Taylor, the leather or paracord doesn't go in their mouth, the bit does, so maybe bitless would be better if you can train him to be safe bitless. since the bridle doesn't really move around much on the head it's not too harsh. Leather is always best though, and paracord is nice for a change occasionally. all the best.

      Peace donkeys, thank you. Yea not sure, have been working on bareback and bridles for a bit. So I might switch to bitless afterwards.

      hi running red, i have never used one, but i reckon it would be exactly the same method as loop reins which i have already made a video of. see the link to the video here: ruclips.net/video/q6-s1hFTaoo/видео.html. let me know how you go.

    • @OvertheMoonEquestrian
      @OvertheMoonEquestrian 5 лет назад

      I would use the nose band sort of like the one for her side pull green noseband but without the rings just leave a loop on each end of the noseband and you could use the video about the simplistic blue bridle without the browband

    Hi how much microcord did you use for your cheek pieces?

  • @melaavery8351
    @melaavery8351 6 лет назад +1

    Hi just have a few questions about these
    1.About how long do these last
    2.About how much cord do you need
    3.How long does it take to make
    4.How would one clean it
    5.How sturdy is it

    • @Peacedonkeys
      @Peacedonkeys  6 лет назад

      hi meech 1. depends how well you look after your bridle, 2. as stated in the video, you need a foot of cord for each inch of bridle (ruclips.net/video/GqB0JnUkS28/видео.html). 3. depends how experienced you are. 4. put it in the washing machine on cold wash, or wash in a bucket with soapy water. 5 fairly sturdy. :) have fun!

    Hello great video ! I’m buying the equipment for a while set I’m making myself, I’m doing a bridle, reins and breast plate could you please give me an estimate on how much paracord I would need ? I’m a bit lost on it 🤦‍♀️😂

    • @REALfish1552
      @REALfish1552 2 года назад

      I know reins require about 7.5 ft of cord x 6 strands for around 45 ft of cord. The wife and I are still working on figuring out the other 2 ourselves. :)

    What size buckles do you use for the cheek pieces? And if I was to use the paracord instead for the cheek pieces, what size buckle would I need?

    • @Peacedonkeys
      @Peacedonkeys  4 года назад

      hi Taylor, i used half inch buckle. if you click 'show more' underneath the video there is a link to the buckle. you might need 3/4 inch buckle for full size paracord, i've tried 1 inch and it is too big, but i've never had a 3/4 inch buckle so i can't say for certain. all the best with your bridle making.

      @@Peacedonkeys okay thank you. I just need something sturdy and strong. My horse is also head shy, so I need something that flexes a bit more than leather, but still holds strong.

    • @REALfish1552
      @REALfish1552 2 года назад

      @@lululester5620 If you're using paracord, it will be infinitely stronger than leather, as it is a kernmantle rope - multiple inner nylon cords covered by a nylon sheath. 550 paracord is designed for 550 lb (250kg) static loads - some cords are much cheaper and much weaker. Leather is much weaker than most of those. With that said, the weakest point in the paracord setup would be the snaps & buckles as they are softer metal.
