- In this video, I review 3 different pairs of running shoes that simply did not spark any excitement for me in 2024. From lackluster designs to underwhelming comfort, these shoes failed to impress. Join me as I share my honest thoughts on these uninspiring footwear choices. If you're curious to see which shoes made me yawn, make sure to watch till the end!
Aaaand he’s only gone and done a video about ‘em anyway 😂.
Love it. Go Fordy!!!
You noticed that as well 🤣🤣🤣🤣
There's never been a better time to be a running shoe geek. With so many shoes out there that have plates and exciting new foams, shoes that are just good get lost in the shuffle. Nice job Fordy.😊
Good point!
Interesting that you (and others) have liked the Hurricane 24 but the Triumph 22 was boring since they look similar on paper. Does the pwrrn pb feel different between them?
I like the hurricane coz it offers something for mild stability needs… also good shoe for bigger people
What's your thoughts on the endorphin pro 4 or the puma deviate elite 3
You should do a monthly video titled "Didn't make the cut" For all the shoes over the last month that you couldn't be bothered to make a video about lol
Great idea
Hi Fordy can you please recommend a trail shoe for mild pronation I currently wear guide 17s as my daily shoe
Short. Sweet. And to the point. (and per usual, somewhat entertaining ) That's what I like about your reviews, including this gem. Who has time to watch folks who spend 20-minutes talking about a running shoe? Keep up the good work!
I appreciate that
I agree that 20 minutes is too much, but unfortunately I have seen some shoetuber that makes 1-hour long reviews 😱😱😱
This is great. Nice to know what not to buy and the alternatives.
Can’t say I disagree with you. No need to review the Ghost for sure. If you wanted to describe vanilla ice cream with a picture of a shoe it would be the Ghost. Great shoe for what it is but not setting the world on fire 😂
The Triumph 22 has been selling well at our shop. The fit of the shoe and midsole are ideal for heavier runners. And they are built like tanks. 600 miles easily in this shoe but they will be boring miles. But sometimes that is good
Kayano 31 agree 100%. Negligible change to the midsole but pretty much the 30 with an upper update.
Keep up the good work Fordy. Happy running
Thanks a lot appreciate the feedback
There is a few changes to the Kayano 31...I had the ASICS tech rep in the shop this week. FFBlast+ Eco is a bit more responsive than 30, also a bit more flexible towards the forefoot. Good shoe, it's a tank, built to last and grind through the miles
Not a bad shoe at all
So, there is noting new under the sun.
Cool, keeps the Triumph 22 off my list of potential shoes to try.
I would be interested to replace my Nimbus 26 - totally don't like it! Slaps extremely loud onto the ground and is too soft for my 90kg i feel.
I read Nimbus 25 is better, less hard outsole and stiffer inside, so a better ride.
BUT: You all are recommending the Brooks Ghost Max.
Sooo... Nimbus 25, Brooks Ghost Max or even Brooks Ghost Max 2?
Or Triumpf 20/21/22?
Or Saucony Ride xyz?
For a firmer shoe I got Saucony Kinvara 14 for 90€ waiting their first run :)
Ive been waiting for the Kayano 31 review aswell lol
I wouldn’t call this a review 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Just buy the 30s much cheaper
I love this kind of video format. I often wonder about shoes that are out, that people should be talking about, but for "reasons" don't. Take the Triumph 22 for example...now I know 😂 I hope to see more videos like this, to "fill the gaps" in the knowledge of the current huge lineup of running shoes 🙂
Thanks for the feedback
Growing up i remember a guy had one leg shorter than the other, i swear the shoe for the short leg to make up the difference looked exactly the sane as themost recent Kayanos. Monstrous amount of foam under those things
Kayano 31 is better than expected, see it has a place in running. It's designed to be a bit of a tank and will really protect you, but it sure ain't glamorous. I've enjoyed running easy Kms in it recently....I've got the Hurricane coming, I do look forward to seeing it do some easy Kms....but still waiting for the Hyperion Max 2 for the tempo work....now that's glamorous ⭐
Glad you like them so much
@@FordyRuns I like them but as you say, they ain't glamorous. I've every shoe in the shop, this one does a job very, very well, but not something you'd pick up and go 'damn I wanna go run in that'.... there's certainly better shoes for that 💯
Do you have a Ghost Max 2 review coming soon?
Yep
Good video and totally agree. Also would like to add HOKA Arahi 7 and Saucony Omni 22 to the list - good solid daily trainers if you need a bit of stability but not worthy of proper reviews!
Thank you
What do you do with all the shoes? Do you donate any of them?
Nice video and great review of those 3 shoes! 😂
You see what I did there 🤣
Nice content👌. Keeping it real
Appreciate that
You are my silent running mate, I would tell everyone to get the Ghost max or Max 2 instead of the classic ghost 😅
Booooom
i cant seem to watch this or any other vids on youtube, it's probably the cloudstrike glitch affecting our broadband somehow. i can like and comment though. I expect it'll be about ghosts and triumphs and nimbuses (nimbi?). cheers fordy.
I loved my kayano 25s i ran them until the tread wore off about 600 miles bless um 😂
Kayano 31 is an orthopedic shoe really. I like it for the firm ‘platform’.
Good shoe just nothing really new
The triumph 22 looks a lot like the Endorphin shift
Nike Pegasus 41 is on my list
Ironically you just made a video about all three shoes 🤪
You noticed that as well
I hate running
Prob in the wrong place then
