I know this isn't the topic of the vid but I genuinely hope the Switch 2 is a spiritual successor to the 3DS too, that way 3DS games can at least get remastered for this console
Yup, manufacturing is an important factor to look at when speculating about the announcement of Switch 2. Like you said, Nintendo will definitely try to beat the leaks. The Nintendo Switch lite leaked via a picture taken at the assembly line before we got its official announcement trailer.
I don't think Nintendo would release a 500$ console, though the multiple SKUs would make such an option possible. I really don't see it pricier than a basic Steam Deck.
Manufacturing ramping up is a good thing, especially since they said they'll be making a lot of units to meet demand. Starting production soon could help guarantee that. Also, what new models of Xbox? The Galaxy-themed one? I didn't think that was going to be made in large production.
Probably the Dock thing might be much more expensive than the current switch, considering the portable handheld console is more likely 8 inches wide screen and thickness probably around 1 1/2 inches with approximately .100 or more lbs, with added some high resolution and new features while on T.V mode probably Nintendo Will highlighted this "Dock thing" pursue this in new level idea and not on just the handheld console which means the experience in "Nintendo switch Dock mode l guess it's 4K resolution" 🤞🖤✌️.
dock and dockless would definitely be a better idea than the current Switch / Switch Lite situation. i probably would've bought a Lite as a second system if there was at least the *possibility* of making it docked in the future.
i preffer docked but yes everyone has theire own prefrences so yes it would be nice that you can decide wich switch 2 you want to buy based of this prefrence
10:47 Thats how the original Switch was sold in japan for quite some time. 220 dockless & 300 complete package. This is why the Lite never made sense for consumers. Nintendo could have easily just sold a 200 device with dummy joycons that only worked attached while allowing the users to upgrade forward if they wanted.
A reveal in 2024 for the next system in 2025 would be a bad. They'd better drop the price of the Switch in the Fall to milk the Switch one last time for Thanksgiving and Christmas. And then reveal the next system in january for a release in may.
Imagine if they sold a dock separately for your cheaper non dockable switch 2. I mean maybe not even a full dock as in a place to hold the system but even just a special cord to get you on the big screen if you want 🤔
That idea from Paul Gale would be a disaster. You have to keep things simple and doing something like splitting up the dock and console just muddies the waters and has the potential to confuse and irritate. Years down the road that might be an option but since they haven't done that with the current Switch models it seems unlikely they would do it this time.
Dont get your hopes to high. It could be an even more compact variant of the current Switch, thats even more portable than the Switch lite, better battery and even cheaper. Maybe a Switch Pocket.
Exactly. New models of "Switch", so its about the Switch. No way Nintendos next console will be called Switch 2. Nintendo never called its consoles by numbers sequence
A Mini Switch didn’t avoid a Switch 2 release. In reality, that a good option a less price console for something like 120/150€ and a Switch 2 for 350/400€.
@@preisar Nintendo's president already confirmed that the next console is going to be „the Nintendo Switch's next version" so its gonna be a Wii u/SNES/GBA Situation
I now think that the reveal will come this year because if you look at Nintendo profit this last quarter you can see that Nintendo have made a bigger part of their profit forecast for this FY than they did for the console unit sales. That means Nintendo is anticipating the fact the Switch will make less profit so a price cut is coming and with that the Switch 2 announcement.
11:34 People forget that this is no longer the case. Developers now have the ability to target the Series S using image reconstruction & frame generation, look at Inmortals of Alvion. The gap is quite wide, specially when series S is miles ahead on the CPU side. But we rarely get 3rd partygames maximizing hw these days 😀
Agreed, CPU is important. But we don’t have the Switch 2 CPU specs. Speculative comparisons based on leaks are not final specs. And as Apple has amply demonstrated, integrated ARM packages can be far more efficient - powerful at equal clock speeds than x86 equivalents.
@@therealjaystone2344Stop with that. We have true information from the Nvidia hack and even at Switch clocks it already surpasses PS4 in GPU performance. The CPU is 8 cores A78C and it has the same IPC as the Series S CPU. I don't expect it to be clocked as high but it will be like 50-70% as performant.
Two models. One slightly smaller with no grip or dock just the console, Joy-Cons and power adapter. For like 370$ and the other slightly bigger with dock and grip for 450$ also better specs.
I think a dock/no dock SKU at launch would be perfect (with a caveat!) THIS TIME around. It wasn't possible to launch the original Switch in this manner because Nintendo had to first ESTABLISH the console's primary selling point - being able to seamlessly take your home experience on the go, and vice versa. Now that the concept is well cemented in the mind of the gaming public, Nintendo should consider the option as one easy way to reduce cost. HOWEVER... We cannot rule out the possibility that this may be a bad idea, BECAUSE we don't truly KNOW what new features are on the table, and how the dock may play into that. If it has any unique extra features (like Wii U style wireless streaming, or more), then Nintendo can't risk having a situation where their base is split, with some having the feature, and some not. It creates a logistical nightmare for games that might want to exploit such features.

There's no way that the dock costs $100 to make. Nintendo would lose too much money, making it unprofitable.
"Nintendo Switch models". Maybe it is a Nintendo Switch Mini.
Possibly, but I assume they refer to it as such because Switch 2 will still carry the Switch brand in some way. Also this is a google translation so something may be lost there.
That’s the switch lite
@@AndresRestart Could be!
Wait, why would they made another switch mini? We have the switch lite
@@dr_wardinwatch Nintendo gonna make a lesser feature version of the lite that’ll cost $150
„it appears“ I can’t do this sht anymore
And then Nintendo announces their new Switch system. ... the Micro
Seriously though, sounds exciting. I'm guessing things are ramping up and i can't wait to see an announcement from Nintendo
Come on bro, nintendo wont sell a switch without dock thats the dumbest idea ever
I really want to see the trailer for Mario Kart 10
SAME!
@OkPe-ww5rsPeople assume Tour was considered 9. MK games without numbers in their titles were considered numbered when 7 came around.
I still think the reveal will be January 2025.
I love ur Nintendo Videos Andre keep up the great work❤❤
Im so sick of these "news" vids about switch 2. Im not clicking on anything until nintendo actually reveals the switch 2.
My guy. You just clicked one
@@WhiteInk47 I think he's saying he's stopping from here on, my guy.
I can’t agree, can’t get enough of it, it’s like an addiction 😂
I’m calling it. Switch 2 will feature backwards compatibility with GameCube and Virtual Boy games, and if you don’t think that, you’re wrong.
Makes sense to me lol
Virtual Boy.......you're insane lol. That's not happening. Gamecube on NSO is likely though.
@ItApproaches I think a VirtualBoy collection might be fun though. Definitely good for preservation if nothing else. Maybe even with a tint slider or "VirtualBoy Color" option.
And then after a couple years a Wii on nso mainly Mario galaxy
Watch it be Pokemon Z-A Switch Lite lol
That would be a spicy introduction and shipment of new a model for "Switch"
@@AndresRestart Technically it would be a new model. But we shall see.
@@ItApproachesthey are talking about the inner working of it the new lite is just changing its looks
@@potato9638 That's not what they were saying. You are seeing something not their. They are talking about a new SKU.
Can I get a Hell Yeah!
Hope nintendo gets into vr i want vr mariokart
Oh boy, no way, people would be puking and getting dizzy lol. VR is just crap overall, everything VR just looks the same, VR games just look.....fake? Like low quality and their look has no immersion it's just pushing the "Yup this is a video game" and breaks immersion.
@@ItApproaches u obviously have only played on crap headsets with crap games if u have taste than there are plenty og great looking games stylised games similar to Nintendos artstyle work amazing with vr ive shown 100s of people my quest 3 at partys and crap and i can tell u that motion sickness and dizziness is allot less common than u would expect and is in almost all cases temperary and im the type that gets sick from 3d movies from rollercoasters from planes cars ect but i have only once got sick in vr because i was drunk af and have only seen a minority of people ive shown got sick id say probably like 1 in idk 20 people get sick but once they get used to ut there usually fine also u can use a fan to helpwith motion sickness helpa balance your body
Its really exagerated how bad mainly because of years of garbage vr content we are only now seeing vr become a great medium
Mmm Mario kart with an headset and that hundred doller wheel
@@ItApproaches actouly a good vr game with either stylised or realistic graphics in a good headset will be the most emmersive thing u will probably ever experience gaming and u dont even need games like half life alyx takes far less and stylised graphics like a first person mariokart would be insane the only reason it sounds like a bad idea is the same reason why kids get scared before going on a big ride at the amusement park for first time but actualy vr is allot less intense than a amusement park
@@ItApproaches like look at flat2vr studios and tell me vr is trash
Selling the Switch 2 without a dock would be stupid as hell. The "cheaper" version at launch is also stupid, they give people who have a working brain way more then enough time to have enough money to buy the full system lol. I've had the money saved up for like 6 months now. I always build up the money to a new system a year before the new system come out. Even the masses who don't follow gaming, if they were given 6 months from reveal to launch, 6 months is enough to save up $400 USD, you could put $100 off to the side a month and you're good in 4 months lol.
There are a lot of kids who buy these consoles or have their parents buy them, not everything revolves around you
Nintendo is trying to maximize how many people they sell to, not JUST selling to people as awesome and responsible as you. For example:
- parents who aren’t planning to buy it months in advance, but kids ask when they see the release.
- the many people who primarily see this as a hand held console and don’t worry about connecting to a dock, for example, people who travel for business.
- people who did save money, but fell on financial hardship who will save a few bucks any way they can.
Gentle reminder: You are not the prototype.

@@pedrogoncalves4585 I don't fucking matter pip squeak. I simply applied LOGIC, something 96% of humans can't do.
@@melissarichsierra5068 Whether those people buy it at launch or at some point in the systems life span it's the exact same total sales number. So your point is utterly moot. If you aren't buying a system at launch then you are disqualified from the very conversation as we are talking about buying it at launch.

The new Switch? It's not Switch 2, it's the Zelda Switch Lite that's coming out 🤦♀
First the production of these new models for each company is not to start until September. It can't possibly be the Zelda Lite that is releasing in the same month. Also that is not a new model. It could possibly be another Switch model that is not Switch 2, but its definitely 100% not the Zelda Switch lite.
@@AndresRestart fingers crossed that I'm wrong then, lol.
Mr restart
Ha ha.

Nintendo already stated don't expect anything for their new console until 2025 no reveal, no direct ect. Nintendo said expect news for their upcoming console in 2025. So this video is hogwash click bait
