Thanks for watching! I am preparing to do Vlogmas (vlogging every day in December up to Christmas) exclusively for my Patreons, so if you'd like to watch along, click this link here: www.patreon.com/howtofaithalife
Saw the reference to Jonah and it made me think of the word fish used in the book, which was first a masculine noun but then turned to a feminine noun when Jonah was in its belly, which is really cool because it's almost as though she was 'pregnant' with Jonah and his expelling from her was like his rebirth after his repentance
I was first intrigued by Word Studies when I was in my early. twenties. I am now 70 years old. I still love delving into God's Word to understand just what He is trying to tell ME. I got away from doing these for a while due to life's circumstances. Thank you guys for the encouragement to get with it again. Blessings to. you and your family.
Wow!!! I was studying yesterday Hebrews 11:1 and i found this quote by Saint Mother Teresa, “FAUTH in action is LOVE, and love IN ACTION is SERVICE.” Long story short it’s crazy that this morning this particular video pops up about being “called to action”! It just blew my mind!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE HOW YOU DO ALL OF YOUR VIDEOS! I am doing the bible bootcamp and it brought me here - best decision if I am being honest. I love how you teach, preach and explain!
This is great. Words have set meanings, which when examined expand our knowledge. Word studies are an excellent addition to studying the Bible, and also helpful for communicating truth in this postmodern culture that redefines everything.
I just recently did a word study on the word study from 2 Tim 2:14 because I noticed the KJV is the only translation that says "study". All the others say "be diligent". That opened up a whole new aspect to me about that verse. Study indicated an action where be diligent indicated a mindset to me. It was a real aha moment.
Thank you so much, Faith and Joe. My curiosity, or my lack of understanding, is what leads me to word studies - and that often leads me right to prayer because I've learned something about me. I mean, God's Word is personal, right!?!
Thank you for posting this! I am really trying to work on studying my bible and this was very helpful! Also...the two of you are an adorable couple! God Bless you both!
You have made me excited about bible journaling and studying Gods word. I am new to cross referencing what extra books do you recommend for a beginner.
Thank you for this video. I was wondering how you do these types of studies and how you take notes. Your videos have enhanced my study time so much. Thank you again.
I’ve never done a biblical word study. You really piqued my interest when we went through the word “behold” during our time together a couple of weeks ago. I hope you will do more of these as I am finding it both fascinating and educational!
pastor Joe, Faith how do you know if you have been given over to reprobate mind? How do you know if the Holy Spirit has left you example Saul Samson? How do you know and use spiritual gifts in today's world?
I highly recommend doing a word study on "Sabbath" and "seventh day"... it is life changing. Start in Genesis and continue straight through to Revelation... don't skip Hebrews and all the times it mentions Jesus and the disciples keeping the sabbath. Don't skip the part where Jesus died on the preparation day (Friday) and the disciples prepared the spices for His burial but then rested on the sabbath... and then met Him on Sunday when He rose again. The disciples honored the Sabbath. Jesus kept the sabbath even in death: He died (finished His work) on Friday, rested on the Sabbath, and then rose to begin His work again on Sunday. Shouldn't we do the same? (seriously, it's life changing to give yourself that day of rest. God is so good)
Hey Faith! Love your videos...always useful information! So, I wanted to share some info I learned from setting up my study and making videos.... Do you have an area rug?? I think adding one to your new study will help with that echo we hear in your videos. The rug will help you with a sound barrier. 😉 Blessings and love Sister Faith! 🙏❤
Yes! I’m saving up for one! I’m sorry the echo bothers you! It bothers me too :/ I have also looked into getting a different mic- there’s so many things to do! Lol
@@HowtoFaithALife ohhh no bother at all, just an observation that I had had for myself with filming and thought I would share. No worries at all Mrs. Faith 💐
Is there an English translation of the original Hebrew text? I’m studying Genesis and someone mentioned that in 3:6, the phrase “who was with her” is not included in the original Hebrew. So I’d love to have an original Hebrew Bible to use in my studies but I can’t read Hebrew.
