- Hey house lovers and explorers! Cheers to Ian for giving me the head's up on these 2 homes. they both are from the late 50s/ early 60s but are in stark contrast on style and how they were looked after. now demolished I'm sure they served their purposes for families over the decades. hope you enjoy the tour. Cheers for watching 👍😁
Your channel is my new addiction for sure! 🌹
Hello! I wanted to tell you I let my 12 yr old granddaughter watch your video and she says you have a very romantic voice. 😊😊
Hey Paul. I grew up with those brick houses in Melbourne. Mainly built by Italian immigrants. They both had similar bathrooms. A trend of the time. Our building timeline in Australia went from very ornate to very simple architecture.
Thank you for taking us on that journey. 🇦🇺👍
Paul, the house has a weird layout but I like it. I do like the kitchen because of all the cabinets along the wall
I grew up in Johannesburg, same era. The building style similarities are striking!
"There was an old lady who lived in a shoe, she had so many children she didn't know what to do..."
That'd be the second house.
👍😉
Thanks for the tours Paul!
👍🤠 🇺🇸
Notes:
1:40 Interesting, a garage door without a garage, I like it.
4:20 A little odd, a terrazo bathroom floor to match the one outside the front door.
11:50 An unnecessary curtain where a wall could be?
17:42 I had to google what an Adelaide crow was.
Thanks, Paul. Looking forward to this one as always. 👍
The first one was beautiful someones dream house 🏠🏡 I wonder how much they had to offer them the second house I don't think they even cleaned their home while they were still living there
I Do Love the Pink & Black Bathroom 😊
Cool places mate the second one was definately 50's or 60's that was weird seeing the crows colours in that small room definately crows supporters. It actually had a good vibe that place glad there was no one lurking in there mate cheers for another great explore.
Thanks Paul for another awesome explore. I look forward to your latest uploads 😊
Hi paul , love the first home, so clean and neat. The second one was like heeby geebys "😮. I thought there maybe some one having a nap up stairs. . Love your work . Cheers Deb
Another really good explore, thanks Paul. I reckon the terrazzo tradesmen drove flash cars in the 50s with the amount of work they had!
Thank you.
Central California watching
They are very beautiful houses but to bad they have since been torn down
like most of these houses which have also been demolished and they both
were still in good shape but I'm glad that you were able to get a tour of them
and show them here as always another great video of these beautiful and
awesome houses Thank You.🇦🇺🇦🇺🏘🏘🏘🏘🇦🇺🇦🇺
That second house. Whew, if it could talk I think it would whimper. Great video as always. Love waking up to a midweek Paul video.
Cheers mate from South Australia
I know of these houses, was a 3rd one also, but that was flattened very quickly. That one would've made a good explore.
The 2nd house had the upstairs addition done in the late 80's, as remember it being added.
Cheers mate 😁always great to learn some history on these old places 👍
That first home was nice 👍🏽
🌟Hi Paul, the first home obviously was a family home the hard floors were quite nice shame it’s getting knocked over. The second home very different but still nice, shame it’s getting knocked over too. Thank you for the tour. 😊❤🌟x
Ah yeah, I can see why someone has decided on this place. It's time is up... Too far gone. It has a few cool features of the past left, but other than that, it was great to see it. Thanks for sharing. Cheers, MM :)
there was no roof on the second house maybe thats were all the water come from
Yes and if not, stinky fish water from the aquarium.

👍🤠
Love these houses! Another awesome video bro! ❤️😘👍🤘
Well done yet again, Paul. I caught up this morning with a mate who is of Italian descent who is a builder, living on our South Aussie Far West Coast. Dunno if I'm allowed to say the name of the cafe at Glenelg, but it has very recently had a major makeover. A major feature is the lovely new terrazzo floor. My mate told me that his Dad used to have him jackhammer up old terrazzo floors when he was an apprentice. But now, he says, terrazzo is making a big comeback. A bit of trivia for you...!!!
The first house is a really nice. It is so clean. The floors are beautiful.
someone along the way didn't like house cleaning 😂
Thanks Paul!
Paul in the redrum house "Hello?"
Me here nervously expecting some psycho junkie squatter to spring out. Phew!
Shame about the nice old pink flamingo bathroom, I liked that. The rest of it was creepy & even looked like there was a funky smell.
I’ll never forget the explore when Paul had gone through a place to discover someone asleep in a bed!
@@vickimorrow1674 LOL & rats! I never saw that one & I really want to!
I really love that metal kitchen sink ! I would love to have one

Thanks great video
Another explorer for us? Thank you. ❤
Seeing you kinda of , early this morning was a nice surprise. Did the first house really get knocked down?😊🌅
Yep, two totally different places! Great to see the contrast.
Thanks Paul.
Hello from America Paul ! Still trying to catch up lol
isnt it funny how an owner will freshly paint a property for sale but cant even do some basic landscaping and a garden tidy up. still sad to go to that effort just to get demolished. great video!
Great find
hey paul a jekyll and hyde homes next to each other i liked that saying although the first home i would have classed as hydes homes as its condition was much better than the second home jekyll's which looked pretty run downed first home looked pretty good but the rooms didnt look that big nice explore as all ways paul and a thanks to your friend ian letting you no of these places cheers paul look forward to your next explore mate.😁👍
Los saludo de Colombia 😊
Hi Paul. Don’t see much wrong with the first property other than it’s been renovated, but the second one is definitely rough!
I can think of only one word to describe both - sad, very very sad. The first one had been upkept and updated, but all the renovations, it is now like a maize, some lovely original hints left pulling us in. Because of you Paulie, we are lucky enough to see all of this.😊 Thank you. The second property was very unloved and looked like it was never cared for, the pink bathroom was a beauty, but I differ in my opinion to it's age, the think the bathroom was late 60's because of the vanity area.
I would have loved to have stepped thru both properties steeped in the owners choices and lives. I feel sad for the 1st building, but the second building had been neglected and abused. It was just like a child not caring for their treasures, so was this once home.
Paulie I love that each of your explores takes each of us on a journey. That's the role of the Storyteller, you, well done!❤😊🏠🏡
As an American, I am fascinated by the separation of the toilet from the tub, shower, sink. As a married woman I wish that were true here. LOL! Seriously, though, it makes sense. I wonder why it evolved as it did.
Hola amigos 😊
The second house looked like a long term rental property. Leased by people who weren’t particularly house proud. Looks like they had dogs that were allowed to scratch up the floor.
While the first house has been stripped of any character it ever had, the second is a DIY nightmare. I must give some credit to the no fear attitude of the last owners.
I knew exactly where these houses were, watched them being demolished. I work for the local council.
I’ll add, it’s sad to see so many houses in the council area being demolished and subdivided.
Hi Damian Cheers mate 🙂👍 yes so many have been and are currently being knocked down.
What neighborhood are these houses in? Why are all the houses abandoned?
That second house is nasty! I think they needed a house keeper.lol
have you ever said: "hello anyone there" and got a reply?
Water from m tank got drip out on floor it why smell bad in the sec house
Do houses, ones that are in decent shape, ever get moved instead of being demolished? In Minnesota all sizes and kinds of houses are moved; brick, wood, ect. Probably a dumb question but I’d really like to know if some houses are saved by being moved instead of being obliterated? Thanks for the video Paul😊👍🏻💖
Houses in Australia are built on concrete slabs ..can't just pick them up
Those houses were certainly chalk and cheese. The second house was somewhat creepy and beyond its used by date.
I wanted to be the 500th like ..499 😅
Yeah the shape that both are in and the date both were built, they are both candidates for demo. The first was in good enough shape to support a move in but... A rich buyer could buy both and build a nice mansion, or most likely a developer bought both and will build 4 or 6 condo type box homes on the double lot. Given that both are not historic homes it is time to move on...
The only thing that I would be remiss about to demo both houses is the terrazzo bathrooms. But just to save a house because of the bathroom floor is not cost effective.
That 2nd house was down right Disgusting
