I think the difference between RJ and Zion coming out of high school, is that RJ lived up to the hype, but Zion surpassed it.
@Brian Abisdid - I 100% agree with you. On any given game you can have RJ scoring 30 points but needing to take 27-30 shots to get it. On the other hand you have Zion scoring 30 points but only needing to take 12-15 shots. It's night and day when comparing RJ vs Zion. I'd take Zion over RJ if I was a smart GM in the NBA.

Zion is the true chosen one,with all due respect to Kobe Bryant,I think this boy is the one that’ll make us start to truly forget MJ a little bit. He’s got an assassin mentality,the power to go with it,a fearless drive that pushes him to try harder and the skill set of Kobe Bryant is also within that large frame. So much NBA talent in this one game alone. Zion, RJ, Reddish, Tre Jones, Coby White, Cam Johnson, Nassir Little. Not all of them have been superstars but you can’t deny the talent and quality of basketball in this game and this rivalry in general.

I was at the game here in Charlotte and it was crazy in the Spectrum Center. You couldn't even afford to look away for a minute. UNC fast break off of makes and misses. Zion set the tone for Duke. There was very little coaching going on and the refs were letting them play. The players settled this game. Best game I've seen in a long time.

Carolina played a good game....the fact they lost as well as they played is incredible. Whoever gets Duke in the NCAA tourney better say their prayers
Especially their fastbreak game.
They shot 4/26 from three, 33% in the second half and still lost by just 1. The fact the game was even within grasp was a miracle lol. Not like UNC went out, did something miraculous and was unconscious from 3 or anything like that. They had a woeful shooting night with Williams, Maye, and White going a combined 1-15 from three. A bounce here, a bounce there, and it's a different outcome. Take nothing away from Duke, they have the most talented squad in the country, but let's not pretend UNC played lights out and still lost. That was far from being true.
Duke want make it past the sweet 16 if there lucky enough to make it that far!! Completely overrated team even with Zion. Carolina played well in the first half however, 2nd half was very sloppy!! They lost by a point! Carolina really beat themselves at the end and could not knock down the shot!
@@jtgoheels they can't shoot three's because Duke plays terrific switching defense that cause difficult to shoot open. Trey, Zion, and RJ got a lot of steals because of switching defense.

Been a Duke fan for 20 years, and this was one of the best games I've seen in the rivalry. Both teams were really good, both played great, and the ACC was on the line. Great game.

Barrett better start passing more if he wants to be a guard in the NBA. So many open guys, with wide open looks, yet he seems to only be determined to get his own. This competition with Zion for the higher draft position might end up hurting him, since he's almost too competitive to think straight.

He has a horrible habit of looking off his teammates when in transition. There have been many times, he could've hit up Zion for an easy oop & instead he's shooting a floater or taking a difficult layup.

Very exciting game to watch ... Duke should be a 1 seed.... RJ & Cam are some subpar ball handlers who give up way too many offensive charges ... they turn the ball over off the dribble wayy too frequently also.
They are trying to push thier stocks up. when they tried too hard...they almost cost the game.
Kyle Ferguson I agree I’ve honestly never liked RJ that much he’s not a good decision maker in general and late game situations, and he forces past his capabilities on too many occasions.
RJ and Cam need to work on their mid-range game, Cam should be able to handle the ball but he's playing like a spot up shooter
I think RJ can really handle the ball with contact but Cam can't (too many turnovers)... It was not a good game for both of them

He’s a lot like charles barkley at his age but ‘sir’ charles, as some of us may know, had his battles with his weight in his younger years.
I can’t see this happening with young Zion.... he’s a ball of muscle that seems to possess some tremendous basketball smarts.
I think Williamson may end being the superior shooter from distance shall he hopefully have a long & prosperous NBA career.
I also think saying he’s a Barkley/James hybrid would be pretty close to the mark.

This is the first time I’ve ever liked a Duke team. The kids seem unselfish and smart beyond they’re years. They look for the open man feed the hot hand. Zion excitement is awesome, keep having fun!

The thing to love about Zion is that he doesn't just rely on his size. The guy has court instincts that we haven't seen in a big man. He reads passing lanes and is always looking to strip the ball from guards even after they pull a rebound...he does things that guards should be doing defensively. Plus he's got intangibles you just can't coach. HOF career in the making for this man.
