- Enjoy my 1981 Ford Thunderbird Build Breakdown and Walk Around! I have owned this car for almost 7 years now, and it's had many updates and revisions. Thanks for watching! :)
Good story: A buddy in our trio of cars guys had one of these in the late 80s, similar build and look (and he deleted the roof trim and vinyl top with a massive amount of grinding and polishing). We called it Darth Vader. 20+ years after he sold it, despite all of us moving far away, the other two of us actually FOUND the vehicle on a visit back to town, still running strong and healthy. We recognized it by his yellow underside paint job. I remember that this guy was so good at working on it, he once changed and tested various cams several times in a day! I'm loving your build!
That's awesome man, thanks for sharing! I actually have plans to remove my vinyl as well as some other custom modifications I can't wait to share about too! Thanks for the support.
This makes me miss my 78 T-bird soooooo much! Love the video, love the build. Never make my mistake and sell her.
I'd love to own that one!😎

Nice car ! I had several t birds and cougars back in my day when they were new . I wish I had any of them back now to build into this type of car.

Holy shit dude! I built one of these too. Only you would belive the kind of attention it got. Kept power steering on ours. Used a HO with mild cam and a fairbanks trany.
That's so cool man!

My first car was a 1980 Thunderbird with a 255 v8 red with a white vinyl top. Great car but the 255 was a terrible motor.
That's awesome, the 255 sounded SO GOOD though!! Mine had the 255 as well, and it spit flames lol
@@CLEBBYY Yours is pretty awesome! Makes me wish I still had mine. I always wanted to put in a 351.
Witch rims are those?
These are retro remakes of the original 10 hole wheel that came as an option on foxbody platform cars, LMR makes them. These ones in particular are 5 lug for swapped cars like mine, and they're also 17" x 9" and 17" x 8" instead of the original 15" ones.
@@CLEBBYYthese LMR weels looks sweet! what tire size you running on them 17’s? Any rubbing?
