    Amazing work, Quick question. Are you always using tungsten powder in your epoxy and how much does it affect the Swing weight? 😁⛳️

    • @LoggerheadGolf
      @LoggerheadGolf  8 месяцев назад +3

      Not always! It depends if a tip weight will fit in the composite shaft. With the Axioms it didn’t, so our option was tungsten powder in the epoxy. This all comes down to what swing weight you are trying to achieve. 2 grams is about 1 swing weight. Hope that helps!

  • @BjörnNilsson-v8b
    @BjörnNilsson-v8b 3 месяца назад

    Amazing - love the work. I was fitted into this combo this summer. Have not pulled the trigger yet. One of the reasons is that my builder really wants to spine the shafts. I think it messes with the whole idea of having something truly beautiful in your bag though.. What difference does it really make? I play Baldo 568MC Competizione with 10th anniversary Modus 115 today. I need more lift and a smoother turf interaction though.

    • @LoggerheadGolf
      @LoggerheadGolf  3 месяца назад

      Thanks! We had a podcast with Fujikura a while back that is on our channel and they said that the new Axiom shafts don't have a spine. We still check but it lets you keep the beauty of the clubs if that is what you're worried about.

    • @LoggerheadGolf
      @LoggerheadGolf  7 месяцев назад +1

      All we are doing with the drill is roughing up the inside of the hosel. Allows the epoxy to have a better grip so the shaft won’t slip or slide out over time. The weight lost is next to nothing, but every club is swing weighted to the desired swing weight in the end.

    • @LoggerheadGolf
      @LoggerheadGolf  7 месяцев назад +1

      @@misterc6012 We do check final swing weight once the build is complete. The weight lost when turning the ferrules is next to nothing so it doesn't have a major effect on swing weight. Sometimes the ferrules match the hosel almost perfect, so we are just turning them with a bit of acetone to clean them up. And we use a felt belt to minimize the amount of material that comes off.

    Yes, no doubt a skilled craftsman at work. However, as a man who hates hybrids and even 5 woods, uhm....I'm not paying £4000 for six irons. I play Driver then 2 iron to gap wedge sw and lob. Guy whose paid for these us gonna stick them in his bag with all sorts of weird hybrids combinations and then wants to show em off to his club pals and bet envy points. Prob wont even get iron covers for them and they'll get bag chattered to fuck. Uhmm.....no thanks....only ultra rich iron collectors need apply. Golf is about putting a set together to enable you to get ball in hole with fewest strokes. Get custom fit..yeah...but this...just ridiculous

    • @LoggerheadGolf
      @LoggerheadGolf  8 месяцев назад +2

      Nothing wrong with a little bag chatter. These irons are meant to be played. Definitely more on the expensive side, but they also fall into a collectors category for someone who appreciates the highest quality of forged irons. We can't control what people order, or what they do with their clubs after they receive them, but we can control the effort and quality we put into building them.
